@Serz88 definitely random cramps near belly button are more likely bowel related than anything to do with the uterus.

@bloomety - poor you, although if you don’t have itching are you sure it’s thrush? Increased discharge only could just be preg related. How are you feeling today?

@CharlieD2020 thanks, lunch was lovely and ended up being long. They both had a cocktail after, I swerved out saying we’d drunk a lot on holiday and I didn’t fancy one. I’m not a big drinker normally so I think it’s plausible! I did have a coffee though which was delicious, and I figure allowed as I’ve not had any other caffeine today.

I did feel less nauseated after acupuncture, although she warned me the effects can be short lived.

On another note she (the acupuncturist) has had a huge spike in fertility self-referrals, think there’s gonna be a baby boom in 2021!

bloomety · 25/09/2020 18:55

Glad you had a nice lunch @mouldygrapes. Oh I'm really missing coffee. I've gave it up as soon as I got my BFP. Were you tempted to tell them? I had a mini breakdown today as my 2 year old son was just pushing boundaries so much. I was in tears and tempted to tell my Mum when she came up to explain why I was in such a state, I'm clinging onto how happy I'll be seeing her see the 12 week scan photo though.

Well it's more cottage cheese like than just white discharge that's why I think it's thrush. I'm feeling much calmer today thanks. I'm in my mindset of going along with my body for the ride and seeing what happens, instead of trying to predict what's going to happen. I've not had any more cramping though. I have been starving today and so tired I had to go for a nap. I'm still tired now so I think I'll be having an early night.

Serz88 · 25/09/2020 19:04

Thanks @bloomety @lucymagoo and @mouldygrapes my anxiety is through the roof anyway.
By LMP I'm 7+1 but I was tracking my ovulation so 4+4

HollyAngela · 25/09/2020 19:24

Hey I’m first time pregnant due in May too , not feeling all there , I would love to have people to talk too aswell 😕

mouldygrapes · 25/09/2020 19:33

Oh bless you @bloomety, must be hard dealing with a toddler when you’re feeling stressed and emotional too. I didn’t tell them, came close to it! I will tell them if I MC tho so not sure if I will hold out till 12 wks.
I’ve told my best friend who knew we were trying, also cos she’d had 3 kids and I wanted some reassurance about the spotting and cramping. None of that today thankfully.

I’ve found decaf coffee to be OK generally, but I felt like a real one today! Also to help with the old bowels, Jesus it’s gonna be a long 8 months if constipation has kicked in already

mouldygrapes · 25/09/2020 19:47

Welcome @HollyAngela, congratulations. How are you feeling?

Has anyone noticed any nipple changes? I looked down in the shower today and they’re suddenly way bigger!

lucymagoo · 26/09/2020 12:50

I have a really stupid question for any second+ time mums.
I mentioned before that my due date is actually the same day as my best friends wedding, what are the chances that at 9 months pregnant if all is well otherwise I would be able to drive the hour or so to the venue and spend the day there?
I don't think I'll be on bridesmaid duties anymore but would love to know if it's completely out of the question that we would be able to attend the wedding at all or if I'll be on full bed rest

Bouncycastle12 · 26/09/2020 13:46

@lucymagoo I would have been fine doing that on my due date with baby 1 because she was THIRTEEN days late. It’s a total gamble for you though. And you may find you don’t want to go far away from your hospital and etc. Having said that, the first one is likely to come fairly slowly so you’d have plenty of time to go home. It just depends on so much. Sorry - that’s not v helpful!

lucymagoo · 26/09/2020 14:08

No that is helpful @Bouncycastle12 I have booked a hotel with free cancellation but we would be happy to drive there and back for the day also. I really think we won't know at all until the week/day of unfortunately

Bouncycastle12 · 26/09/2020 14:10

@lucymagoo yes, it’ll totally depend on you. I felt fine at 9 months, but lots of people don’t. But easily cancellable hotel room sounds like the best option! Good luck!

bloomety · 26/09/2020 14:48

@lucymagoo I was fine at 9 months and not exhausted or anything. Just really bored. I don't think I'd have wanted to be too far from my hospital though.

lucymagoo · 26/09/2020 15:08

This is giving me hope, thank you @bloomety. It's just over an hour drive so I think it would be doable if I feel otherwise up to it. Just have to hope they don't arrive on time!

lenny12345 · 27/09/2020 12:41

Hey is everyone having symptoms now?

I had a scan last week and they was only able to see the sac and yolk sac, i would of been around 5+3 and heard that's normal.

Feeling really anxious though as the day after the scan I had a small bleed of dark brown blood, they did advised I had bruising round the pregnancy so it could be that. It's all eased off not but I'm so worried as I thought I was having no symptoms but now they are gone i noticed I really was having symptoms 😭 won't find out till late next week if anything has professed and I just feel so anxious.

How is everyone else feeling? Xx

OP posts:
lucymagoo · 27/09/2020 14:33

@lenny12345 brown blood is old blood! Probably disturbed by the scan and definitely nothing to worry about Smile

I am nauseous and regretting wishing for symptoms. When I'm even a little bit hungry it feels like my stomach is eating itself so have ordered lots of little nibbles to get through the next few weeks.

Would love to know if others nausea is the same

mouldygrapes · 27/09/2020 14:43

Hey @lenny12345 I think it’s normal for symptoms to fluctuate. I have been nauseous on and off, some days are better than others. Agree that the brown blood sounds like old blood working it’s way out, and reassuring that it’s stopped now although I know you’ll be worried. I also had some brown spotting earlier in the week which has gone now. When is your next scan?

@lucymagoo they do say to eat little and often to help with the nausea. I find it does help an bit when I eat, although I don’t fancy much. OH frying bacon this morning nearly tipped me over the edge 🤢

NavyBerry · 27/09/2020 15:17

Hi girls! May I join? I'm due on 31 May, will be 5 weeks tomorrow. I'm worried that I don't have any symptoms. My last 2 pregnancies were anembryonic so I'm hoping for any symptoms tbh. I'm going to see my gyenecologyst on Fr 2nd Oct and will be pushing for an early scan. Any point in having bloods done? I doubt. I just want to see the heartbeat. How do you manage anxiety?

bloomety · 27/09/2020 17:40

@lucymagoo yeah when I'm hungry and I feel so sick.

I was really faint this morning and dizzy. I had to go lie down. That was after eating.

Welcome @NavyBerry. Oh my anxiety worsens if I start googling or doing pregnancy tests. Stay away from it all is my advice and just try and get on with your life.

@lenny12345 I had a scan at 5+5 and had the same - just a yolk sac. I'm going for a private scan a week today, I'll be 7 weeks. I wouldn't worry about the bleeding especially if it's stopped now. I had some brown spotting when my period was due, it went after a couple of days.

GrandTheftWalrus · 27/09/2020 18:53

I feel sick until I eat then I feel even more sick. I cant win. I didn't have this last time so I'm really hoping this is a good sign.

Anyone have a "bump" when they wake in the morning? My stomach is brick hard and feels bump like. I know its just because my bladder is full but its nice.

Also anyone else overweight and worrying about not getting a real bump etc?

lucymagoo · 27/09/2020 19:07

Okay good to know I'm not alone, I was expecting more travel sickness type nausea this is so different to any I've had before. Definitely has the edge of a hangover feeling though so not totally foreign 😂

I'm not overweight but definitely carry all my weight on my stomach so have been offered a seat on the tube more than once in my life Grin @GrandTheftWalrus I don't think I'll know when it's stopped being fat and starts being a real bump

mouldygrapes · 27/09/2020 19:27

@lucymagoo yes hangover-esque is a good way to describe it!

@GrandTheftWalrus I haven’t noticed any bump yet, but I am overweight and over the years have often seen people looking at my tummy, presumably wondering “is she pregnant?”
Let’s see what happens!

I’m back in work tomorrow for 1st time in 2 weeks.
Not sure how it’s gonna be with this bloody nausea. Have also been knackered and done zilch today

GrandTheftWalrus · 27/09/2020 19:39

When I was pregnant with my daughter I was a size 12 and didn't get a massive bump. I was 36 weeks measuring 33.

This time I'm at 16/18 so worrying I won't get a bump at all.

RustyCat · 27/09/2020 21:50

I have a 'bump' but that's from bloating. So bloody uncomfortable I have been all day, felt tight and just not comfortable all day. Hoping this let's off soon!

bloomety · 28/09/2020 07:52

Is anyone else having sexy dreams? I had three last night!

CharlieD2020 · 28/09/2020 15:06

@bloomety nope not me!

Welcome @NavyBerry! :) super excited for you and hoping you can get that early scan and ease that anxiety soon. I'm probably not the best person to ask for advice on how to minimise anxiety, because I am definitely feeling anxious! But I was googling a lot of things and that made me panic more, so I am just trying to stay off Google and enjoy each day. It's totally normal not to have symptoms at 5 weeks. From what I have read, I think it is more unusual to have symptoms at 5 weeks! Maybe give yourself a bit of a pamper one evening and make sure to put your feet up and do something nice and calming that you enjoy? How are you feeling today?

We told our parents the news on Saturday - so much fun telling them, and makes it feel more real now. Our hospital has also just announced a partner can attend scans - hooray!! So DH and I over the moon and will still book early private scan for next week (7 weeks)
