I hope it goes well for you. Only 1% of pregnancies are ectopic it's just bad bloody luck x

bloomety · 23/09/2020 20:52

Thank you. I'll let you know tomorrow.

mouldygrapes · 24/09/2020 08:01

Good luck today @bloomety and hope you’re recovering well @smallpotatoes7

lucymagoo · 24/09/2020 08:11

Good luck @bloomety keep us updated Star

RustyCat · 24/09/2020 08:28

Good luck today @bloomety!

@smallpotatoes7 hope you are recovering well and aren't too uncomfortable

mouldygrapes · 24/09/2020 09:22

How’s everyone else getting on?
I’m feeling a bit better as the spotting seems to have stopped and I think the bad cramps I’ve had are bowel/wind related rather than period type pains. I’m still scared tho! Early scan not till 11/10.
Also feeling much more queasy- smells are starting to get to me again, and I can’t face the thought of eating anything before about 3pm. Ginger or peppermint tea seem to be OK. Have to get in the car and drive 2hrs home today, that’ll be fun 😩

bloomety · 24/09/2020 09:43

The scan showed a yolk sac but no baby. He said it's probably too early (5+5) but naturally I'm worrying now.

mouldygrapes · 24/09/2020 09:47

@bloomety - good news that it’s not ectopic, but understandable that you’re worried. I’m sure it’s just too early to see more. Are they going to scan you again?

bloomety · 24/09/2020 09:50

Yes they're going to scan me again. I'm just in the waiting room waiting for my appointment. I think I'll be spending the rest of the day seeking reassurance on MN and google...

lucymagoo · 24/09/2020 09:54

I think that's quite positive @bloomety, no ectopic and obviously it's very early so not necessarily bad news. Everything crossed for you Daffodil

Littlebee1990 · 24/09/2020 11:30

@bloomety feel free to message me and we can support eachother through this shit wait. Google will reassure you 1 minute and make you crap yourself the next. Xx

bloomety · 24/09/2020 11:37

I know @Littlebee1990. I actually think I should take a break from mumsnet. It's making me too obsessed with everything. I've searched MN for other threads where there's been a yolk sac and no fetal pole and the majority have happy outcomes. So I'm going to try to leave it there.

How are you doing?

Littlebee1990 · 24/09/2020 11:41

@bloomety When is your next scan? Try and keep positive but I know it’s easier said than done.

I feel much calmer than yesterday, I’ve read SO much stuff online and my heads baffled! Some say a heartbeat speed shouldn’t be considered under 6 weeks and others say I have no chance of a good outcome.

I just POAS and it’s the darkest IC I’ve ever had and proper dye stealer. I just don’t even know what to think.

Part of me is so hopeful we will go Tuesday and they’ll say heartbeat is fine but part of me is petrified that this women was warning me for the worst.

I’m also worried going for another scan in between is stupid.. like is there a reason she said come back in 2 weeks and I’ve gone and booked myself a private scan for 1 week time.. I just can’t wait 2 weeks but will having lots of scans be dangerous!?

6 weeks today and I should be so excited as I only made it to 5 last time but I’m terrified x

Is anyone else due on the 22nd may 2021?
bloomety · 24/09/2020 11:47

Wow that is a proper dye stealer! I was going to have a scan in a weeks time but it would need to be vaginal and there are no places near me that do that, only abdominal.

No I don't think they are dangerous. I had them fortnightly with DS2 up until 12 weeks and he is fine. I think you are doing the right thing going again. It can't make you more stressed can it? It can only make you feel better.

Littlebee1990 · 24/09/2020 11:50

@bloomety Honestly hoping for the best for you. My scan was a transvaginal one and my one next week I don’t think it is.. so that’s a good point that they may not be able to see as much but I’ll be 6+4 and they allow scans from 6 weeks.

I’m useless in limbo, I’d rather know either way so I can process it, limbo isn’t a good place for me at all.

Keep me posted ❤️❤️

smallpotatoes7 · 24/09/2020 13:39

I'm well and home with pain relief. Thanks.
@bloomety I had just sacs at first with my other kids, be pleased it's in the right place and growing fine x

Littlebee1990 · 24/09/2020 13:56

@smallpotatoes7 Been thinking of you ❤️

RustyCat · 24/09/2020 14:10

@smallpotatoes7 glad to hear you are back home now!

bloomety · 24/09/2020 14:23

I'm glad you're ok @smallpotatoes7. That's good to hear that you just had sacs too with your other pregnancies and they turned out ok. 2 weeks seems like a lifetime to wait.

I've done some more cheapy tests today and they're not getting darker. I would have expected a dye stealer. Maybe you don't get them on these types. The bottom one of each type of test is today's.

Is anyone else due on the 22nd may 2021?
smallpotatoes7 · 24/09/2020 15:46

@bloomety the waiting is so hard but I don't think those tests can tell you anymore than you know now!!! Try and distract yourself from thinking about it for a few days x I wish everyone good luck with their growing babies x

RustyCat · 24/09/2020 16:09

@bloomety it is a massively long wait I will admit but at least it was fairly positive with them being able to see something and it being in the correct place.

It could be that baby is too small to see currently hence the dreaded 2 week wait for another scan?

Littlebee1990 · 24/09/2020 16:26

@bloomety Would you book a private scan for a weeks time when you’ll be between 6-7 weeks? That’s what I’ve done because I can’t handle a 2 week wait.. we’re also not allowed partners still but can at private scans so I want my partner with me for whatever outcome xx

bloomety · 24/09/2020 17:00

Yes they did say they're dealing with things 1mm in size and it can change from one day to the next. It's just with my history of mc I'm trying not to worry. I am relieved it's in the right place though and seems to be ok.

@Littlebee1990 I don't know. I had a look at my local scan clinic and they say they do scans from 7 weeks which would be a week on Saturday. It's still better than waiting for the scan the following Wednesday. When are your scans?

Littlebee1990 · 24/09/2020 17:09

@bloomety Ahh mine do them from 6 weeks. I have my private one on Tuesday 29th, on Tuesday (22nd) they said I was somewhere between 5 and a half to 6 weeks. So on Tuesday I’ll be somewhere between 6 and a half weeks and 7 weeks.

I’ve had horrible cramping today, but also suffer bad with IBS and my indigestion has been so bad since pregnancy that I don’t know if the cramping is gas or bad things!

Xx

lucymagoo · 24/09/2020 17:12

Yeah I booked with Window to the womb and they do from 6 weeks. They seem to have clinics all over so might be one near to you
