Feeling very anxious due to previously having misscarriages

@bloomety Yeah super busy job and also in the middle of moving house.. joyful. She said it’s 50/50 on MC or things progressing x

bloomety · 22/09/2020 17:27

I’m so sorry that’s horrible to have to hear. I know you probably can’t envisage how you’ll get through the next 2 weeks. I had similar with my first miscarriage but with me it was bleeding. There was a heartbeat but the fetus was measuring earlier than I was. They said to come back in 2 weeks as everything seemed fine. I was like how on earth am I meant to survive these next 2 weeks without going crazy? 2 weeks is a lifetime in a situation like that.

How are you feeling?

lucymagoo · 22/09/2020 17:30

Sorry everyone seems to be having worries and concerns today! A bit of bleeding and cramping doesn't always mean bad news and I also thought a heartbeat was a good thing, I was told they're unsteady and weak at first and then get stronger

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 22/09/2020 18:10

Sorry everyone is having such a rough time, would be so much easier if we only found out at 12 weeks.
I've had some sharp pains this evening making me stop in my tracks. Doesn't feel like the heavy pulling miscarriage pains so far but I'm stressed.

bloomety · 22/09/2020 18:32

It would wouldn’t it @SweetpeaOrMarigold. I wish we did find out at 12 weeks. Just think how awful it was for our parents who didn’t have scans back then. They had no idea what was going on the whole way through!

Serz88 · 22/09/2020 22:30

@CharlieD2020 please try not to stress yourself out so much. A thread I've been following on here for months was started by a lady who has had several MCs and she posted a few weeks in saying that was it her boobs felt fine she has definitely lost the baby as it had happened before. She is now 10 weeks away from holding her new baby. Try to stay calm, all of our bodies and totally different and Google is honestly all of our worst enemies right now xxx

I've had some pain today and more bleeding so the clinic fit me in this morning. They have identified an ectopic and I'm awaiting surgery. This will be my second tube removal!! I'm so angry but I just want it out so I can be healthy for my other kids.

mouldygrapes · 23/09/2020 10:56

@smallpotatoes7 I’m so sorry love, sending strength and hugs.
Will they keep you in and do the surgery today?
Will be thinking of you

Serz88 · 23/09/2020 11:16

@smallpotatoes7 I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope you get through it all OK xxx

lucymagoo · 23/09/2020 11:21

So sorry to hear @smallpotatoes7 please let us know how you're doing Sad

RustyCat · 23/09/2020 11:23

@smallpotatoes7 oh I'm sorry to hear that. Lots of hugs!

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 23/09/2020 11:23

So sorry @smallpotatoes7 hope your surgery goes well x

Trousersareoverrated · 23/09/2020 11:52

Thinking of you @smallpotatoes7

bloomety · 23/09/2020 13:33

I'm so sorry to hear that @smallpotatoes7 I hope you're ok.

I've got really mild cramping today so I'm freaking out

RustyCat · 23/09/2020 14:05

@bloomety I know its easier said than done but just keep calm and don't worry yourself. I've had a few bouts of cramps on and off for the part few weeks, most of them fairly light but a few slightly harsher ones but they all seem to stop eventually.

If it's really mild it might just be things stretching/loosening up and be normal pregnancy cramps.

If it helps to out into perspective, my MC cramps were horrific, eye watering and stopped you breathing for a few seconds, my whole stomach and back felt like it was in a knot, they were the most painful cramps I have ever had.

bloomety · 23/09/2020 14:06

Thanks @RustyCat. I just feel really sad. With both my MC they never got painful. They were just exactly like this. I'm thinking too that I won't bleed as I'm on progesterone.

I've rang EPU and they're seeing me on Friday when I'll be 5+6

RustyCat · 23/09/2020 14:46

@bloomety ah okay just don't stress yourself too much hun, I've got everything crossed for you! That's good the epu have booked you in so quickly too!

lenny12345 · 23/09/2020 18:29

@bloomety I went for a scan today at 5+4 and just so you know every single midwife, doctor and consultant kept reassuring me that i would still bleed if I was misscarrying. It doesn't stop you bleeding appearently. I could only see a sac and yolk sac today and have to go back in a week. X

@smallpotatoes7 so sorry. Sending you lots of love. If it helps after my surgery I really found one of them pillows you warm up in the microwave behind the top of my shoulders helped. Xx

bloomety · 23/09/2020 18:37

Oh thanks @lenny12345 that's reassuring to hear. The cramping stopped a couple of hours ago and there's been no bloods so far, fingers crossed, touch wood...every other superstitious thing I could possible do...

That's good they seen the yolk sac. It's early to be seeing a heartbeat. How do you feel?

smallpotatoes7 · 23/09/2020 19:50

Thanks everyone. I was out of surgery by 3. They removed the tube with the sac inside it was swollen. I actually feel so relived, the pain in my stomach hurts a little but I'm managing well and should be able to go home to my lovely kids tomorrow. Thanks for all the concern and I hope I've not freaked anyone out. I've had two ectopics the first was like a poker stick hot pain in my groin which woke me up and was very painful. This one felt like period pains with a sort of burning of that side. If anyone ever thinks they have this getting seen ASAP is the key.

bloomety · 23/09/2020 20:20

Glad they've got it all sorted for you @smallpotatoes7 and you're feeling relieved. That's what I have - mild period pains and a sort of warm feeling on one side. I'll ring EPU first thing to see if they can see me sooner.

smallpotatoes7 · 23/09/2020 20:25

@bloomety always best to air on the side of caution. X

bloomety · 23/09/2020 20:25

Yes. I've just rang them and being seen tomorrow at 9:20.
