Looking for someone to chat too? I'm due on 22nd of may by the online calculators.

Just wanted to speak with someone who's just found out their expecting too?

Feeling very anxious due to previously having misscarriages

Ladies I need to rant to you all as I can't to anyone else yet.
My fiance came back from work today and told me he told one of his clients that I was pregnant!! We haven't told anyone and had agreed to not tell anyone until our early scan as I still haven't allowed myself to fully accept that I'm pregnant and won't until then. I've been dying to tell people, like my nan and my twin brother, I am so close with both of them and seeing them and not saying anything is so hard. And even my closest mates!! I'm so angry that a total stranger to me knows about my baby before anyone who means anything to me! He didn't understand why I was so angry at first and was like yeah but she's nobody? EXACTLY!!! But we had made that agreement and he just went against it! And for what? I'm absolutely seething and now all I can worry about even more then I already was is that something will go wrong.

Hi, am due 17th May so can I join? I am having a tough time of this pregnancy as have been bleeding for over a week now. No big clots but the blood is read and fills a pad a day Sad am 39 and think that maybe I l left ttc fr DC2 too long. I have a scan tomorrow morning so crossing fingers they can advise me. Tests say still pregnant so maybe this is just something older women have? Anyone had similar? I'm not feeling hopeful.

AdvicePls12 · 19/09/2020 21:22

@lucymagoo with DD1 I had a really vivid dream I was in a supermarket (in Russia IIRC!) and was at the end of the checkout packing bags when a baby came down on the belt! I was like, erm...I didn't pick up a baby, has anyone lost one? Grin and everyone was shaking their heads like I was an irresponsible parent for not immediately swaddling it. Very vivid dream nearly 10 yrs ago now!

lucymagoo · 19/09/2020 21:56

@Serz88 you have every right to be annoyed, I would be too! It's such early days and I know how you feel about being desperate to tell the people close to you. Hope he's apologised!

Serz88 · 19/09/2020 22:11

@lucymagoo he has but I'm not ready to be OK with him yet. I'm still so upset that he would go back on his word with something so big and not even for someone close he was desperate to tell!! He's been on damage control all evening and been tidying and keeping out of my way. We have such a great relationship and he's such an amazing and supportive fiance but honestly what an idiot!

mouldygrapes · 19/09/2020 22:58

@AdvicePls12 I’m sorry I can’t offer your personal
experience but I’ve read of lots of women who’ve bled early in pregnancy and gone on to full term with heathy babies. Good luck for your scan x

@Serz88 absolutely right to be annoyed with him, but I don’t think guys see it in the same way we do. He was probably excited and just wanted to say it to someone - perhaps it’s better that it’s not anyone close to either of you. It does go against what you agreed and I would be cross too - just as I was cross that DP told one of his mates we were TTC when I hadn’t told anyone (and we’d discussed it and said it was too much pressure if people knew). Hope you are ok

smallpotatoes7 · 20/09/2020 07:39

@AdvicePls12

Hi,

I bled with my first two pregnancies from early on and it was bright red and gushing at some points. Turned out to be a sub chorionic haematoma which is an idiopathic cadaver of blood thats sits in your uterus for no reason!! It can be reabsorbed by the body or come out and from what i remember the risks are only high with that if it is very close to the embryo. I have two healthy kids now and it stopped woth both pregnancy's from around 12 weeks. Hope your scan goes well x

lucymagoo · 20/09/2020 08:46

@mouldygrapes @Serz88 that's true, it's better than telling someone close to you who could potentially spill the beans to others who know you and ruin the surprise

TheMagicDeckchair · 20/09/2020 09:19

@CharlieD2020 I have a little girl who will be 3 when LO gets here.

@Serz88 his telling is frustrating! Do you know the client he told? If she’s a stranger then that’s kind of better than if you knew her vaguely. But if you need support you could consider telling people around you who you are close to.

Serz88 · 20/09/2020 09:26

I see what people are saying about she won't spill the beans but there are people close to us who we both want to tell who wouldn't. She's a complete stranger I don't even know her name.
@TheMagicDeckChair I've thought about speaking to someone close to me and then on the slip side I don't want that to be the reason why I tell someone so early.
Very grateful for this group right now x

lucymagoo · 20/09/2020 09:29

I've told my two girl best friends, who have told their partners, so 4 people outside of myself and my husband know but I'm so glad I did because they're excited and I love having people to chat to about symptoms/names/how I'm feeling etc.

bloomety · 20/09/2020 09:35

@lenny12345 me!! I'm due 22nd May. This is based off when I ovulated

lenny12345 · 20/09/2020 09:39

@bloomety how are you feeling? Are you having many symptoms yet? I think I'm 5 + 1 today and I don't seem to feel pregnant really! Odd day of tiredness but honestly that's it!! The lines are still strong though xxx

OP posts:
bloomety · 20/09/2020 09:45

Yes I'm 5+1 too! Well I don't know if I'm over analysing my symptoms but I have been going to bed earlier as I'm tired early. I've got a really strong sense of smell all of a sudden. I took DS to a kids farm on Friday and I couldn't stand the smell of the animals. It was making me feel sick. I've been before and it was unpleasant but this time it was unbearable.

My gums have been swollen too. The only other thing is more sensitive skin. I've just got out the shower and I'm really itchy. I put moisturiser on my face and it was stinging.

My pregnancy with DS I remember having really sore breasts and it killed if they touched anything even slightly but I can't remember how far into the first trimester that started. I'll feel better once I have that.

Due to having 2 MC before I'm having an early scan at the end of this week to check everything is ok. I did a clearblue yesterday and it said 2-3 so I was a bit gutted but then i did a FRER and it was a dye stealer so I'm trying to focus on that. No more tests for me now. I was so anxious yesterday.

How are you managing? Are you testing?

Littlebee1990 · 20/09/2020 10:31

Jumping on the symptomless wagon also, I’m 5+3 (based on ovulating date) and aside from feeling a bit tired and struggling to sleep after 5am I feel “normal”.. 13 sleeps until our early scan, trying to keep positive after only getting the 2-3 weeks on the digital yesterday and expecting to see 3+ weeks x

bloomety · 20/09/2020 10:38

@Littlebee1990 I keep waking up around 5 and can't get back to sleep to. This has been going on for maybe a week now.

I was thinking about your CB test and my friend told me with her son she was sure she was going to lose him as she couldn't get that 3+ weeks. Her partner would go mad at her for buying so many of them and she drove herself mad. She was so anxious after 5 MC and a stillbirth but she had her little boy and he's 2 now. She tells me to stay clear of them as they caused her so much anxiety. If I were you I'd bring my scan date forward to set your mind at rest. 2 weeks is a long time to wait with this level of anxiety I know. I just have to wait til Thursday when I've to ring EPU for a scan and I'm stressing about how far away that is.

bloomety · 20/09/2020 10:43

@lenny12345 I'm also on progesterone twice a day 400mg.

Littlebee1990 · 20/09/2020 10:52

@bloomety Thank you for the story and I’m so glad all worked! Tbh I feel less anxious today and have no desire to test at all after reading everyone else’s experiences with them tests!

I get your thought process on the scan but for me I would rather go and see a heartbeat at over 7 weeks than go too early & them ask me to come back, I’ve read people who have gone thinking they’re 6-7 weeks and they’re only 5-6 and there’s no heartbeat and they said it made them more anxious so I’d rather going knowing I’m going to be 7-8 weeks and that if all is good a heartbeat will be there (hope that makes sense!?) xx

bloomety · 20/09/2020 10:55

@Littlebee1990 yes I completely understand. I did say to the EPU would it not be too early being seen 5+6 or bang on 6 and she said not. I'm just hoping there's a heartbeat but I know it can be 6.5 weeks sometimes.

Im glad you're feeling better today. I am too and I think that's directly related to not testing.

RustyCat · 20/09/2020 13:39

@serz88 you are rightfully annoyed at him. I would be absolutely fuming if DH spilled the beans to anyone let alone a complete random person.

I'm itching to tell my family but due to previous loss I am waiting until things are a bit more certain. We didn't tell anyone bar my mum about the first pregnancy and won't be telling anyone for quite some time, just incase.

How's everyone feeling today? Turns out I've gone off some food had a fry up this morning and the potato bread tasted absolutely vile, as soon as it touched my tongue I was nearly sick had to run and spit it out, DH said it tasted fine so it had to be me 🤣.

lenny12345 · 20/09/2020 16:02

@bloomety hiyah!

So so anxious too, you sound like you have a good lot of symptoms. I had a test this morning that was a dye stealer so feeling a little better about that too. Why do we do this to ourselves??

I've had a few tummy cramps today so anxiety is sky high as always. I've got a scan on Friday too !! So hoping it all goes okay! I did get my 3+ weeks last Thursday, and I think I actually may be abit further gone because I'd didn't DTD around the time that the app said I ovulate so we are still wondering how far along I actually am. We only had it 2 timee last month and non was round ovulation.

I have no symptoms though at all; and I've got a back ache to but trying to focus on the positives and have the mindset .. today I am pregnant.

Can't wait to hear about your scan. Fingers crossed it's going to go okay for both of us xx

The midwife just called to book me in for my first appointment, it's starting to feel very real! Never thought I'd be excited to have a blood test 😂🤢

RustyCat · 20/09/2020 17:46

@lucymagoo ooh how exciting! I still haven't heard from the midwife's yet. Hopefully mine contact soon!

Serz88 · 20/09/2020 17:58

@lucymagoo ooh exciting!! When did you do your self referal??

lucymagoo · 20/09/2020 18:07

Yeah self referral, took them two weeks when it says they should contact within 7 days so I'm guessing they're busy. I was actually going to call and chase them tomorrow!
