In honour of our third trimester I thought we should start a new thread!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Congratulations to everyone who’s had their bubbas already! Our princess was born 6/11/20 at 40+2 by emergency c section (after 2 hours of pushing and exhaustion). Currently adjusting to mum life and feeling very emotional today! Hope the rest of you aren’t waiting for much longer xx

Anotherboy · 13/11/2020 20:24

Congrats @fudgeflies! Hope the adjustment is going well!

41 weeks tomorrow for me and no real signs of anything yet...

Ding123 · 13/11/2020 21:30

Congrats @FudgeFlies! I hope you are recovering well and enjoying the newborn cuddles.

Oh gosh, the emotions.. it's a rollercoaster. I had bouts of crying on day 7 and then again today (day 10). The sleep deprivation isn't helping but let's hope the hormones settle soon.

Wise0wl · 13/11/2020 21:56

Huge congratulations @FudgeFlies!!

Upalln1ght · 14/11/2020 08:18

Congratulations everyone with new arrivals! It's lovely to see all the announcements.

Happy to say that my November baby arrived safe and sound on the 3rd (due date was 4th).
My sweet boy is now 11 days old and I couldn't be happier that he's finally here- I forgot how much they poo!

Good luck to all those awaiting your little ones x

FilthyforFirth · 14/11/2020 08:33

Congrats to all the babies born recently! I was thinking since it was the middle of the month already we must be due some more!

Hope you're all recovering well.

T minus 4 days for me. Cannot come quick enough, had a really horrible vomitting session last night and the nausea has really ramped up again so feeling very miserable and sorry for myself.

Ding123 · 14/11/2020 23:20

Try and take it easy @FilthyforFirth one day at a time. It's not long now until you meet your LO and despite feeling so rotten throughout pregnancy it will all be a distant memory Smile

Lulubon · 15/11/2020 22:28

I haven’t been on these threads since about the 3rd one!
Congratulations to everyone who’s had their babies!
My due date is the 17th and I’m feeling extremely impatient now. Did anyone have a feeling they were going to go into labour before they did? Or was it a complete surprise?

ChampooPapi · 17/11/2020 13:17

Hey ladies, is there a post natal thread set up yet. I had my twin girls on the 4th of November

MillieFTM · 17/11/2020 16:43

Hi all, baby girl arrived very quickly on 15th, waters broke at 7am, first contractions started at 10am every 2.5 mins. Got to hospital at 12.45 and was 4cm. Baby born at 16.00!
Lost a huge amount of blood and was all a complete blur! Now trying to work out how to look after a newborn at home.
If it wasn't for having had a episiotomy and being very bruised and swollen I would be feeling pretty much normal!

Anotherboy · 18/11/2020 15:16

Another (too) quick delivery here, 00.43 today baby Kai arrived, 9lb 8. Currently trying to remember how to breast feed this beautiful bundle. Missed my planned c section by a day!! Good luck to those still waiting xx

Anotherboy · 18/11/2020 15:17

And congrats @millieFTM

Parentinfo · 18/11/2020 16:06

Congratulations to everyone blessed with their bundle of joy(s) so far 🎉 and all the best to the ones waiting ✨

Parentinfo · 18/11/2020 16:09

38 + wks now and have been trying to do colostrum harvesting but no luck so far

Is it fairly common not being able to express colostrum or am I doing something wrong ?
Should I be worrying?

I did breast feed my elder one and hoping to do the same for the new arrival too 😊

eleanorsos · 19/11/2020 11:14

@Parentinfo Took me forever to get the hang of it until the midwife talked me through it properly, the key for me was pressing back in towards your chest rather than trying to pull outwards 'like milking a cow' as the midwife put it 😂 Took a while of doing that to get a few drops coming but just wasn't working for me before that! But might just be that it's harder for some people than others.

40+5 today and still waiting..... 😭

rollonnovember · 23/11/2020 23:50

40 +4 today, waters went at 5pm contractions every 2-3 minutes lasting 45 seconds average but not dilating 😩😩 currently sat at home bouncing on the birthing ball hoping it will speed up dilation! Cervix is currently still closed

Anotherboy · 24/11/2020 10:47

Ooo good luck @rollonnovember, I hope you are currently holding your baby in your arms!
