@whiteolive go into your trust website for ur local maternity unit and there should be a section for u to self refer and a form u download and fill in and email it to them. I’ve been signed off for the next 8 weeks to try and help me carry to 12 weeks

tinatsarina · 27/07/2020 22:35

So gp confirmed the pregnancy and I mentioned how I'm anxious after my miscarriage last year and they said they can refer me for an early scan if needs be.

mammii · 27/07/2020 23:11

@tinatsarina also breastfeeding and boobs feel completely painless. My boobs hurt a lot in my first pregnancy, but I wasn't breastfeeding then. So I wonder if breastfeeding stops your boobs hurting?

penny92 · 28/07/2020 08:04

@whiteolive I think we must have!!

I also had the advice to ring the doctor again in 2 weeks, so just after the 6 week mark.

Funnily enough the doctor was the same doctor who took out my implant 6 weeks ago, and she was laughing about how fast it happened which was nice as it felt a bit more personal.

I've got two camp trips over the next two weekends so trying to put it to the back of my mind (if that's even possible) until 6 weeks.

Nottherealslimshady · 28/07/2020 08:45

Just done a weeks indicator and it said 1-2 weeks but I'm 19dpo. Has anyone else done one yet?

Shinea · 28/07/2020 08:59

Hello everyone,
Shall i join inn?
I got my BFP today by working dates due should be on april 2021 first week.
I had miscarriage in April 2020 during my 4th month.
So this is my second pregnancy but first baby (rainbow baby)
Hopefully I Carry this to full term, being more cautious now also anxiety is kicking inn with positive test.

Othersideoftheworld · 28/07/2020 09:28

Hi ladies, this is my first ever post! I’m cautiously joining the thread.. just got a positive today!! From what I calculated I would be due on 1 April. I had a D&C almost 5 weeks ago, after that I did a couple of tests to make sure I was getting negatives which I was. And now after having sore boobs and feeling a tiny bit sicky the past week or so, I finally tested today and got a positive!!
I have 2 beautiful boys and have had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in me losing a tube, and my latest MMC which is what I had the D&C for. I’m feeling extremely lucky to have conceived so soon after the D&C.
I live in New Zealand but reading Mumsnet posts has given me so much support and hope through my dark days, much more than any other sites I looked at. I think most of you are in the UK? Here I think we do things a little differently, all mums-to-be go for a 6 week scan which is called the ‘dating scan’. I’m super nervous about that scan due to my last MMC.. but I guess all of us are really nervous about that first scan, no matter when it is..
Wishing everyone the best of luck and sending you all sticky baby vibes. I look forward to being on this journey with you all Smile

Welcome to all the newcomers !! And congrats on your BFP! Feeling a bit emotional today! I’m 19fpo, 4 days after missed period and just got my 3+. I never got a 3+ with any of my other pregnancies that I lost so feeling a bit more hopeful

Due april 2021
Farfaraway1 · 28/07/2020 10:24

@2020wish that’s awesome! Congrats on the 3+! I have one of those digital tests in my drawer but I’m too scared to use it atm.. will wait a week or two I think. I have 4 more FRER which I plan to use one every other day. I didn’t get much of a line progression last time round so hoping I will this time.. also hoping not to drive myself crazy with pee sticks Grin

tinatsarina · 28/07/2020 10:34

@mammii I'm hoping that's why mine aren't sore

2020wish · 28/07/2020 10:40

@Farfaraway1 thank you... I promised myself I wouldn’t test when I got my 3+ lol scan is next Thursday so dunno whether to just stop and hoping I have the will power. Yea hold off testing as it causes so much anxiety—- says me who can take their own advice

penny92 · 28/07/2020 10:44

@2020wish Congrats on the 3+!

Farfaraway1 · 28/07/2020 10:45

@2020wish yea it’s funny cause with my other 2 babies I never did more than one test! So don’t know why this time around I’m so caught up on it.. I guess because of my history, and probably cause I never knew of ‘line progression’ with my other 2. I’m seeing my GP on Friday who will send me for my usual 48hrly blood tests for the next two weeks, bit of a drag but they do that to monitor me for another ectopic. So maybe I’ll feel comfortable to ditch the tests once I’ve had some blood results back..

Farfaraway1 · 28/07/2020 10:47

Anyone else super gassy at the moment?? I’m not normally but I sure am at the moment! Blush

mrsmummy1111 · 28/07/2020 10:50

Totally agree @Farfaraway1 - with my son I took one digital pregnancy test, it told me I was pregnant and that was that! MN has taught me all about MMC and line progression etc and in all honesty I don't think it's done me any favours. Luckily I came on hols a few days after my BFP, so I only had time to do one IC, one FR and then one CB digi which gave me a positive at 10DPO. I'm stopping with that, no more testing for me as it's not doing me any favours. I can't stop nature, if this baby is meant to be then it will be, and not amount of pregnancy tests will change that. Now to relax and enjoy my pregnancy TEST FREE 🤣🤣🤣🤣

2020wish · 28/07/2020 10:52

@penny92 thank you!

@Farfaraway1 I know what u mean! When I was pregnant with my daughter 10 years ago I took two tests, both from the same pack out of Asda for £3.80 lol never took another test after that. But then I had a chemical in jan and was like wtf so started testing everyday with my second pregnancy and third that’s sadly I both lost. But my line progression and digitals have been stronger this time so I’m hoping it’s good news and really really trying to put the tests down now lol sorry to hear about ur loses, that’s good they are doing the 48hr bloods, my gp wouldn’t even entertain that idea with me

RasperryInAMelon · 28/07/2020 12:41

@Farfaraway1 I was sooooo gassy the first few days I found out! Was about 4 weeks

Now 5+4 and I feel super sick and a bit light headed today 😩

chrissagcat · 28/07/2020 14:02

Hello can I tentatively join? Got BFP yesterday - due 4th April I think. Got booking scan start or September and scan 21st sept.

Anxious as I have no symptoms at all

KO045 · 28/07/2020 14:46

Ladies, how are you all coping with any nausea? I keep getting little waves of feeling really sick over the last few days.....awful!

Also got my midwife call on friday so have my booking appointment on the 20th August then first scan date after then. It seems so far away and im so impatient! x

whiteolive · 28/07/2020 15:02

Hi to all the new ladies and congratulations 😊

Has anyone lost their appetite recently? Last week I was waking up so hungry but since Saturday I’m struggling to eat. Eating because I know I have to, not that I want to.

@KO045 mine pretty much stays all day but it’s like background sickness?

KO045 · 28/07/2020 15:10

@whiteolive aw thats rubbish! i thought it was motion sickness being in the car the other day but its been happening a little more the last few days. id almost rather be sick though to try and get rid of it.

im a bit like you with appetite im either starving or not hungry at all. struggled to eat some scrambled egg yesterday but not sure if it was my MIL's cooking lol

mammii · 28/07/2020 15:24

Congratulations to everyone and welcome!
🥰

I'm with you on the reduced appetite @whiteolive

I'm forcing myself to eat. Put off by most foods at the moment

KO045 · 28/07/2020 16:03

@mammii im praying i start going off foods. im either not hungry and just eat so i have something in my system or i cant stop eating. i just need to stop going to food shops because i just get little "notions" for stuff and its nothing good lol

tinatsarina · 28/07/2020 16:42

I'm getting the nausea today

KO045 · 28/07/2020 17:03

@tinatsarina its not fun! i mentioned it to my mum and she said she got the same but was never ever physically sick. hope it passes for you/doesnt come to much x
