I rang the GP pretty much as soon as i found out, i must of still been in tbe socked stage and just said to tbe receptionist...i dont know what to do! This is all new....so ahe booked my booking appointment on 5th August when i should be 6 weeks exactly. I think this is a little early, I've read most booking appointments happen from 8 weeks. Ladies i completely understand about needing to test, ive been up north visiting the OH family since Thursday and have been desperate to test just to check im still pregnant, asni cant ik instead groping my boobs every frw hours and like...yep they still hurt, still pregnant! 😅

Herbys · 26/07/2020 22:30

I've got about 7 completed tests 🙈 Which is going to be come 8/9 as I've got the weeks indicator and want to sanity check everything is rising as it should! I think I'm somewhat obsessive 😬 so I completely understand!

whiteolive · 26/07/2020 22:43

@NatJayne87 I’m reading your comment as I just groped my own boobs checking they still hurt 😂 my last booking appointment was scheduled for when I was just over 6 weeks so I guess it depends on the area?

@Herbys falling pregnant is an expensive time with all these tests 🙈

Nottherealslimshady · 27/07/2020 09:09

Thankfully my spotting has stopped now so ringing doctor today. I've only done 2 tests, going to request a blood test from docs.

I've also been groping my boobs a lot! Just checking. I've got quite lucky with symptoms so far, I'm a bit more tired and a bit of cramping but no sickness yet thank god.

Hope eveeyones feeling ok?

penny92 · 27/07/2020 09:50

Feeling okay. A few headaches and waking up feeling a bit hungrier than usual... which I guess is normal. I also keep getting sore eyes which I just figured was due to uncomfortable contact lenses but I googled (I know, this can be a bad idea!) and it's common to have dry eyes in early pregnancy apparently.

Going to ringing the doctor today too and just ask if the process is usually self-referral for the trust.

Also going to speak to my line manager, who is also my close friend who had a baby a couple years ago. I know people say you shouldn't really say till 12 weeks but she's had a miscarriage before and so I know will be super understanding whatever happens.

How is everyone else getting on?

tinatsarina · 27/07/2020 10:14

Hi just had a positive test this morning after a negative on Wednesday. I'm booked in today to get the implant which obvs won't be happening. I currently have a five month old and a 6 year old with a miscarriage at 8 weeks Feb 2019. I feel very overwhelmed this morning

2020wish · 27/07/2020 10:21

@tinatsarina welcome and congratulations on ur BFP. I’m guessing it wasn’t fully planned, but hey that’s ok and it’s a wee blessing. And all ur kids will have nice age gaps xx

Sophierella24 · 27/07/2020 10:26

Hi Ladies,

I hope you dont mind me joining!
I got my BFP on Saturday and I cant stop the worry!
Iv had sore boobs, cramps...and a dodgy stomach (tmi sorry!)
Has anyone else experienced this?

Trying to put my mind at ease xx

tinatsarina · 27/07/2020 10:28

@2020wish thanks the more the morning goes on the more I'm getting my head around it. I think it was the negative test on Wednesday with my other two I tested early and got positives so I'm worried my HCG isn't rising as fast as it should

tinatsarina · 27/07/2020 11:17

Anyone getting symptoms yet? I'm currently breastfeeding so not to sure about the sore boobs

whiteolive · 27/07/2020 11:42

@tinatsarina congratulations, keeping my fingers crossed for you. Are you testing on the cheap sticks ? If you are mine are still gradually getting darker at 15DPO now but clearblue tests are nice dark lines.

@Sophierella24 congratulations 😊 it’s understandable to worry! Will this be your first? From 9 DPO - 13 DPO I was near constant cramping but they seemed to have eased off now with the occasional twinge throughout the day (15 DPO). Have a sick feeling all day every day which is keeping me up at night and sore boobs x

Nottherealslimshady · 27/07/2020 11:54

Has anyone rang their doctors yet? Mine just told me to ring back at 6 weeks :/

Birnam · 27/07/2020 11:54

Telephone appointment made with midwife for next week. I phoned my GP but they asked me to self refer to midwifery service at the hospital, they don't do appointments for pregnancies at the GP surgery. The midwife told me to download an app also!

Birnam · 27/07/2020 12:03

@Nottherealslimshady aw that's strange! My GP surgery just told me to phone the midwifes and they have booked me in for a phone appointment next week, I'm not 6 weeks yet.

Sophierella24 · 27/07/2020 12:13

@whiteolive thank you! Yes this will be our first, I'm over the moon but also worried sick at the same time! I'm sure everyone worries until they know all is well...trying to stay positive and not over think! Congratulations too- it's a very exciting time!! Xx

penny92 · 27/07/2020 12:16

Rang the doctor's surgery just now. A boy who sounded like he was on work experience answered and said he didn't know what to do so he would get the GP to call me back this afternoon. Haha!!

whiteolive · 27/07/2020 12:26

@Nottherealslimshady ditto, said to call back when I’m 6 weeks and they will book my appointment with the midwife for when I’m 8 weeks. Tbh the lad on the phone kept putting me on hold as he wasn’t sure. @penny92 we don’t have the same surgery do we 😂🙈

Nottherealslimshady · 27/07/2020 13:40

Well screw it I'm ringing the midwife then! 😂

Kristy17 · 27/07/2020 13:55

Congratulations @Sophierella24 and @tinatsarina

I’ve spoken to the GP now and they’ve just said they’ll pass on my details to the midwife and I’ll her a call 8-10 weeks so just a waiting game now I guess. I’d rather I had dates for the booking appt 🤷‍♀️ . I’m only just under 5 weeks so super early days.

howmanyroads · 27/07/2020 14:30

Hi everyone, congrats on all your BFPs, OK if I join? I got mine last week, due around 2nd April if all goes well! Had surgery for a MMC at 9 weeks in March so a little apprehensive but trying to stay positive!

I'm waiting for a call back from midwives to arrange booking in. I'm very impatient and they got back to me quicker than this last time!

@whiteolive I really wanna join your fb group but paranoid if i do it'll come up on people's feeds! Shock

Birnam · 27/07/2020 14:36

I'm in Scotland btw, not sure where you guys are. Will be a different process I imagine if you're elsewhere!

JTB123 · 27/07/2020 15:03

No symptoms for me yet :(
Sore boobs if I pretty much squash them 😂 no cramps, no sickness!

I almost want all the symptoms so I know everything is ok! 🙄🤣

whiteolive · 27/07/2020 15:48

@howmanyroads I asked a friend to check that it definitely didn’t come up on my Facebook at all when I created it or posted anything and it’s safe! It’s set to private so only people who are members of the group can see what has been posted 😊

2020wish · 27/07/2020 15:54

I would just bypass the gp and self refer if it’s a normal pregnancy. My gp only knows as I’ve had recurrent miscarriages and needed to be signed off work as I work in a covid icu. They referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. But I rang my own epu and they have booked my in for a 6 week scan due to my previous loses. Once I have that scan I will then self refer to the maternity unit for my booking appointments.

Symptom wise I’m feeling like a train wreck every morning I wake up and gagging like I need to be sick but I never am. My boobs are starting to hurt today and I’m so tired. I’m also going between sleeping so well to insomnia. I noticed today tho I’ve got out of breath easier when out walking... anyone had this? And then just tugs and twinges down below

whiteolive · 27/07/2020 16:06

@2020wish how do you self refer? Literally just call your local maternity unit?

Mirroring your symptoms exactly. Exhausted, luckily we are self employed so whilst the other half is out of the office I’ve snuck off home early 😂
