Hi to all the new ladies!

I had my first hormonal meltdown at my husband this morning as he had put my frozen sausage rolls (something i wouldn't normally eat or buy to be fair) in the fridge instead of the freezer so I couldn't eat them! Pastry has been a bit of a craving for me.

I've got a follow up scan at EPU a week tomorrow and think I'll join the Facebook group after that, 6+4 today but feeling nervous after a mmc last time so dont want to have to join and leave.

Kliz92 · 16/08/2020 19:09

@Tiff94 thats brill! Ill join now xxx

Hi ladies I've had my early scan this evening. I should be 6 weeks 3 days but they couldn't find anything on the scan. I had a transvaginal scan. There was a pregnancy they said but they couldn't see anything because of clouding which they said may be blood. They've said that I need to take a pregnancy test in the morning and if it's positive then I need to call them straight away and they will contact the EPU and get me an appointment to have bloods and stuff done there. I feel really deflated and don't know what to do with myself because I've not really got anything to go on. If i had seen a baby with no heartbeat I feel like the closure would have been way easier but I didn't see anything other than a cloudy screen..

leaferty · 16/08/2020 19:38

@Tiff94 I feel like I'd be a fraud joining the fb group! I'm so so so so early and not sure it's going to work out. I think I will wait for a week or two so I can be sure it's not a chemical before I join, if that's ok.

But if things work out id love to join, my faceboon group with my first was, and still is blooming wonderful!

Apricotta · 16/08/2020 19:48

@clueless987 don't worry just yet, I'm sure it'll be fine. It's an early scan and it's harder to find such a teeny tiny baby at this stage. Have you got anything to keep you busy to try and distract you?

@Tiff94 thank you so much for the invite. I think I'll be more comfortable joining a little further down the line if that's OK, maybe after 12wks? It's my first pregnancy and although I'm hoping for the best I feel I should prepare for the worst 😕 still can't believe I'm preggers even though I've done 3 tests each every other day last week 🤣

RedFormica · 16/08/2020 19:48

@clueless987 I’m so sorry to read this! I am 6 wks 3 days exactly today also. I hope everything works out well for you. This stage of pregnancy is such an anxiety riddled time - right now there’s nothing you can do but rest and reset for the week ahead. xx

stellarfox · 16/08/2020 20:14

@clueless987 Really sorry to hear you have so much uncertainty. I had an early scan with my last and they couldn’t see much at all. Try to distract yourself tonight best you can and fingers crossed for you tomorrow

WutheredOut · 16/08/2020 21:16

Urgh I am such a Bloody idiot!
I’ve been worrying all day that something has gone wrong because of my migraine.
I idiotically took another Clear blue test this evening and despite the one I took two days ago saying I was 2-3 weeks the one I did just now only says 1-2 weeks!
I’m so cross with myself I know I should have just waited until the morning and now I’m doubting everything.
Every time I see that some one has tested lots I think don’t do it - it’ll only make you paranoid and now I’ve gone and done it and I am worrying. I was trying to relieve the migraine by stopping the worry and I’ve probably made it ten times worse!
Stupid bloody woman!

WutheredOut · 16/08/2020 21:27

@clueless987 sorry I totally missed your post, sorry to hear you are in limbo, I hope you get some sleep tonight and I’ll be thinking about you tomorrow.

clueless987 · 16/08/2020 21:37

Thanks everyone.. it's so confusing I just don't know what to think. I've never heard of anyone seeing 'clouding' on their scan which may be blood.. they didn't say anything else that the clouding could be, they only mentioned blood.. so if my womb has blood then I'm assuming I'm having a missed misscarriage and am basically just waiting to start fully bleeding.. I'm still getting light cramping that feels like I'm about to come on my period. I think in the back of my mind I know where this is heading but also trying to stay a bit positive because it's all so unclear what's actually going on

Apricotta · 16/08/2020 22:06

@clueless987 I guess it depends on when you conceived maybe it was late but does mean it's not viable. I've read some get implanted close to their period so have a mini period but not full on, so try and stay positive if you can. Xx

@WutheredOut Hcg is weaker as the days go on so that's possibly why it's going backwards? Try in the mornings.

I've been suffering with awful awful sleep lately but I had a gorgeous 2hr nap after lunch today and feel so much better!

Apricotta · 16/08/2020 22:07

@clueless987 DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT VIABLE so sorry!!! 💞

Apricotta · 16/08/2020 22:08

@WutheredOut as the DAY goes on

OMG I'm obviously not as refreshed as I thought 🤦🏻‍♀️

Rosefirsttimemum · 17/08/2020 06:45

Hello all, is anyone struggling with sleep?! I’m wide awake every hour or soxx

Rosefirsttimemum · 17/08/2020 06:57

@clueless987 so sorry to hear that, can’t imagine how stressful it must be xx

Chicken123 · 17/08/2020 07:00

Morning @Rosefirsttimemum
I am! Although I feel like I’m sleeping a lot, I’m getting up quite a few times to pee during the night and also waking up super early! It’s so weird. I wonder why our bodies do it x

Tiff94 · 17/08/2020 07:06

Anyone wanting to join the Facebook page later on I totally understand you don't want to jinx it. Please join at your own convenience. @Apricotta @leaferty xxx

Apricotta · 17/08/2020 07:27

@Rosefirsttimemum oh yes!!! It must be our bodies in training 😂 I'm getting 4 hrs a night if that?! My feet and legs are tingling and I read up on it yesterday and it's possibly something to do with extra water weight putting pressure on nerves...so it's not likely to end anytime soon! 😭 I think I'm getting into a routine of little sleep at night and a nap or two in the day. Not something I want to make a habit of though!

Apricotta · 17/08/2020 07:28

@Tiff94 thank you glad you understand xxx

Rosefirsttimemum · 17/08/2020 08:02

@Chicken123 @Apricotta ah glad I’m not alone, my sleep is awful I’m so tired but wake up loads in the night and I’m wide awake. 11 hour shifts at work will not be fun, think I’m going to have to tell work x

clueless987 · 17/08/2020 10:29

I've got an appointment tomorrow evening at the EPU to have a scan, they said they will do blood tests if nothing is found. Hopefully I will have more answers tomorrow. I've had some brown spotting today though so not holding out much hope.

Workingmama1 · 17/08/2020 11:29

Good luck for tomorrow @clueless987. I've been there before (and again now waiting for a follow up scan next week after only seeing a sac and yolk last week) so I know how horrible the waiting and uncertainty is. Take care of yourself, rest and stay hydrated. Sending hugs x

Apricotta · 17/08/2020 11:31

@clueless987 😔 oh bless you! Thinking of you and hoping and wishing that it all turns out OK xxx

ladyfarmer · 17/08/2020 12:37

Can I join in? Due April 24th and absolutely bricking it, as I’ve never really been sure about whether I wanted a baby or not. I’m 38 and we decided to throw things into the lap of the Gods- three weeks later and I’m pregnant and utterly terrified. I honestly thought that because of my age it either wouldn’t happen or it would take ages. I even feel guilty and awful as many of my friends have gone through IVF and I’ve watched their struggle. How on earth am I going to cope with a baby and run a farm?!!!! I suppose the Yorkshire Shepherdess copes with nine....
Anyone else feeling utterly bewildered?!

jmc211 · 17/08/2020 12:46

Hoping to dip my toe in the water with you all. I'm anxious due to a MC and Ectopic this year so I am just quietly participating and hoping as the days go on this sticky bean stays put. I'm close to 35 so feeling older and have three children already. Hope everyone is well! Xx
