Very tasty @Apricotta ☺️ Tummy seems more settled today so fingers crossed it continues!

Sunny555 · 15/08/2020 16:53

@clueless987 how did you book a private scan? I have an nhs one booked on 25 August but I’m having a bad day today and don’t think I can wait!

thirteen92 · 15/08/2020 18:15

Hey everyone!

So yesterday I had a scan at EPAU due to a previous ectopic pregnancy, I was 5+2 and unfortunately they couldn’t see anything, not even a sac!

They did my bloods and my hcg was 1010 so that explained why they couldn’t see anything as hcg has to be between 1500-2000 to show anything on an ultrasound.

So I’m back tomorrow morning for another blood test.

I’m so worried... I see people having scans and seeing heartbeats at 6 weeks, how can I not even have a sac at 5+2 and hcg not high enough to show anything? 😕

I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? They said they may scan me again in the morning if my hcg has doubled. 🤞🏻

I had a ruptured ectopic last November which was my first pregnancy, this is pregnancy no 2 and we were about to start ivf.

@Apricotta - me! I think I'm 7wks and I seem to have it all day Confused but a lot worse after 4pm. Need to eat every 2hrs or I just feel horrific. Currently laid on my bed hiding from family as don't have energy to cook tea and think if I move I may hurl. Hoping OH will take iniative and just shout me when I can crawl down straight to food! GrinHmm

Littleone2021 · 15/08/2020 18:25

Hi, please can I join 😊 I'm on another thread as I didn't realise this was the main one, is there a Facebook group?

I'm 34 1st child due 19th April

This is our little rainbow ivf baby and we have 4 embryos in the freezer, praying it's a sticky baby x

Whaaatt · 15/08/2020 18:29

Hello can I join. I'm new to forum posting but an avid reader.

I'm 38/DC2/Due 20/04/21

Does anyone here think they will need extra support/interventions in their pregnancies? I had a rare condition that involved lots of extra scans in my last pregnancy. I'm worried about this in covid times. Although I'm excited reading about all the positives here.

clueless987 · 15/08/2020 18:55

@Sunny555 I booked the private scan online at window to the womb. They have them all over the UK as far as I'm aware but if you just google private early ultrasound scans in your area I'm sure you'll find somewhere close to you. Some places won't scan till after 8 weeks but the window to the womb by me scans from 6 weeks by doing a transvaginal scan as it's easier to see something that early! Hope this helps!

clueless987 · 15/08/2020 18:57

@Whaaatt I was wondering this also as with my DD I had 2 scans and monitorings a week, growth scans fortnightly and sometimes monitoring 3 times a week because of complications I wondered if I would automatically be classed as high risk this time around. I really hope I'm not though as I would absolutely love to have a water birth and never had this option with my first pregnancy

Sals27 · 15/08/2020 18:59

Hi @Whaaatt welcome! Im not sure on intervention or monitoring, I was included due to preeclampsia last time so I don't know if that warrants more monitoring in a subsequent pregnancy. I kind of hope not!

Ugh, I'd forgotten I had a coffee aversion last pregnancy. Drinking it made me feel sick for hours after so I cut it out, I drank less coffee then so not such a big deal but now I have a toddler, coffee is life 😂 This aversion reared its head today after a large Costa coffee and then was in the car on windy costal roads. I did not feel well 🤢 At least it a symptom that I definitely am pregnant

adventurer2020 · 15/08/2020 19:11

Hi all I am joining you 😊 I got my first BFP on Monday and have been testing everyday and had my first dye stealer today!! I'll post a pic if I can. I think I'm due mid April but not overly sure.

I had a MMC (blighted ovum) back in May so I'm nervous but hopeful.

I have constant nausea all day and my boobs have just starting to be painful. It's nice to have symptoms for reassurance though isn't it! I'd also like to join a Facebook group if there is one - is there a link anywhere?

@apricotta for me it feels just like a hangover. I wish I could be sick but I can't. I'm completely off food and dont want to move from the sofa. I hope it eases off soon. I managed to get some work done today as I'm really behind due to this constant nausea.

Congrats and welcome to all newcomers:)

3 days till my scan!

Sunny555 · 15/08/2020 23:36

@clueless987 Thanks for that. I assumed it was through a private hospital!

Have many people had a 6 week scan and would you recommend it? I’m 6+1 tomorrow and so worried I’m losing my pregnancy. My morning sickness has stopped (although I now have heartburn) I’m cramping and now getting anxiety attacks as a result. This was an ivf baby and it’s been awful getting to this stage. I’m so scared about losing it.

Sals27 · 16/08/2020 08:19

@Sunny555 I've not had a 6 week scan, I did 8 weeks last time and booked the same for this time but if it will put your mind at rest id definitely go for it. Excuse my ignorance as I don't know alot about it but do your IVF clinic not offer viability scans?

MelissaR85 · 16/08/2020 08:27

Hi I'm new on here, I'm 35 and I found out 2 weeks ago I was pregnant with my first, tomorrow I will be 6 weeks, due date is 12th April, I'm struggling and worried about stomach cramps sometimes really painful and on both sides of my lower stomach, I've had no spotting but I've also had lower back pain and a killer headache yesterday, I'm not sleeping great either. I spoke to the doctor and she said provided the pain isnt just on one side and accompanied with bleeding it's normal for some women. Has anyone else felt like this? Plus side I'm constantly horny Grin

Apricotta · 16/08/2020 08:34

@MelissaR85 congratulations! I get the same cramps, from what I've read it's normal as long as they are mildish the majority of the time. I've had a few moderate ones but they're not constant. Had little headaches and twinges. No back pain but yes I'm horny! Haha! I'm also not sleeping! 4/5hrs a night maybe? My left foot tingles all the time when I'm trying to sleep, like restless legs syndrome and it keeps me up 😂 Xx

Rosefirsttimemum · 16/08/2020 09:10

Hello, found out yesterday that I’m 5 weeks pregnant. Me and my partner are very happy but I’m so scared. First time mum would love people to talk to cxxx

Rlacpb · 16/08/2020 09:28

@Rosefirsttimemum Congratulations. Similar to you it’s my first pregnancy and I’m nervous but also excited. I’ll be 6 weeks on Tuesday. I just want to take pregnancy tests all the time but have resisted since Thursday. How are you feeling?

Apricotta · 16/08/2020 09:28

@Rosefirsttimemum congratulations! I'm loving this thread...as you can see it's my only outlet about the pregnancy 😂
Found another cool website! www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/week-by-week/week-6.aspx

Rosefirsttimemum · 16/08/2020 09:32

@Rlacpb Thank you! Congratulations to you too!! Same! I have done four. I’m feeling ok, bit sicky today and boobs hurt lol. How r u? I’m a bit worried with going back in to work with the covid scare, have u been told to isolate? Xxx

Rosefirsttimemum · 16/08/2020 09:33

@Apricotta thank u! Congratulations to you too. I need all the advice I can get so will follow the site xxxx

supersonicginandtonic · 16/08/2020 10:28

I've been away for the last week, hence my absence.
Congratulations to everybody who has had their positive tests. Thoughts to those of you whose journey has ended.
The nausea has hit the last couple of days and my lower back is aching at the minute. Anybody else having these symptoms?

Rlacpb · 16/08/2020 10:41

@Rosefirsttimemum I feel a bit sicky but not actually sick. A little bit off food which is unlike me. I’ve recently returned to work but not been told to isolate. Due to the nature of my job I’ll need amended duties and have had to inform work, I would never forgive myself if something g happened to the baby.

Rosefirsttimemum · 16/08/2020 10:59

@Rlacpb same, I feel like I could be sick, not a lot of energy. I think I will tell my work too then. Ive been so worried to tell people about my pregnancy before 12 weeks. I know it sounds silly but googled way to much and really scared myself. I need to ring my doctor Monday morning but I’m apparently due 10 days before my 30th birthday. There goes my lavish holiday booked but what an amazing present x

Rosefirsttimemum · 16/08/2020 11:02

@supersonicginandtonic heya! Hope u enjoyed your week away 😊 my lower back is really hurting and have painful legs xx
