@Rlacpb I take a folic acid spray, I couldn't stomach the tablets in my previous pregnancies, they made my morning sickness worse. Spray is going well so far, it's blueberry flavour.

leaferty · 14/08/2020 21:38

@Sals27 my DC1 is 27months so if this were to work out, he'd be just shy of 3.

@artyone I have never heard of spray, I'm going to google. As of today I am taking pregnacare leftover from my first pregnancy but it went out of date in April :-/

artyone · 14/08/2020 21:39

Welcome @MamaLulu1986 & @leaferty

@clueless987 I had a chemical last month, faint positive and then it disappeared completely, digital said not pregnant and then late period. I think you will know if it is eventually either way as if it is you will get a proper period. Spotting I wouldn't worry about.

artyone · 14/08/2020 21:40

@leaferty I got it from amazon. I knew i wouldn't be able to do those pills again.

Apricotta · 14/08/2020 23:39

This website is cool ladies! You can find out progress by week and day! www.familyeducation.com/pregnancy/week-6-pregnancy/you-are-5-weeks-4-days-pregnant

Loopy39 · 15/08/2020 01:09

Hi can I join too! Due 5th April with no.3 and I am 40 in a few months so really nervous about whether we are doing the right thing. Our two are 6yo and 9yo. Don't know how I'm gonna make it to the scan date! Feel ridiculously nauseous from 3pm onwards already! Have just had to sneak downstairs for 2 rich tea biscuits Shock. Have had my booking in appt and received date for scan. Hospital confirmed OH can come to 12wkn scan but not 20wk scan x

Rlacpb · 15/08/2020 06:42

@artyone thanks. I will have a look today when I am out.

Avril2020 · 15/08/2020 07:22

Is anyone in this thread already 40, like me? Much wanted baby but v anxious about the risks. Think risk of anything being wrong with the baby will come back as high just because of my age. Anyone else in the same boat? X

WutheredOut · 15/08/2020 07:47

@Avril2020 I’m 44 - this is my third DC (5 pregnancies) and I am more than a little nervous!
There is another thread I’m on somewhere for us more ‘mature‘ mum to be’s

I think I’m going to spend the next eight months in permanent panic!

Serethiel · 15/08/2020 08:40

Hello

Sorry I havent added my name to the list. My cycles are really weird since my MC in March so based on my old cycle length and my LMP I'm due on the 4th but I know that I'm due earlier than that as I got my bfp at 6dpo based on those dates.....so I am waiting till my scan next week for some clarity. I'm struggling a lot with nausea. I havent got off the sofa in about 8 or 9 days. I can't do much at all. I wondering if I should try to gp if they can give me anything. Thoughts?

JLM1008 · 15/08/2020 08:49

Sorry if tmi but I’m still struggling with diarrhoea 😔 it’s really getting me down. I already struggled with IBS before I got pregnant and it feels so much worse now. I’m not sure whether I should go to the docs? It’s been like it for days now.

Avril2020 · 15/08/2020 08:52

@WutheredOut thanks for your message. Think we will be in this together then. Is it me or is this forum tricky to navigate. Takes forever to find what I’m looking for through loads of searches. But this is the page I’m most interested in as we will all be facing Covid affected hospital visits or appointments at the same sort of time. Be good if we can help each other out as I’m not telling anyone about this pregnancy until after screening tests Which feels like a lifetime away 🤦🏽‍♀️ Xx

Apricotta · 15/08/2020 09:10

@JLM1008 my stools are getting softer for sure. Like you I have IBS but I know it's really wheat & gluten intolerance. Wouldn't hurt to call the GP? Make sure your drinking enough, taking supplements to nourish as your not holding onto anything. Eat a few eggs??? Eggs are good at binding Xxx

JLM1008 · 15/08/2020 09:44

Thanks @Apricotta looks like it’s eggs for breakfast! 😂 I’ve filled in an online form thing and sent it to my gp. Should hear back from them on Monday. It’s quite sore as well which is why it’s bringing me down a bit. Makes me not want to eat.

glastogal · 15/08/2020 10:00

@Avril2020 I'm also 40, and a bit nervous about being older this time!!

@JLM1008 I'm sorry you're suffering - I seem to have gone the other way and have had to start using laxido to keep everything moving Confused

Loopy39 · 15/08/2020 10:58

I asked at my booking appt whether at 40 I'll be classed as a geriatric mother..and apparently not. I was marked down as low risk so age didn't seem to be a problem. Obviously screening might be a higher ratio for some things due to age...but they take into account BMI and all sorts.. not just age. So that was reassuring
We are not telling people until after the scan which just seems too far away at the moment! Contemplating a private early scan just to make sure it is actually there and not just all in my imagination! 😅

clueless987 · 15/08/2020 11:29

So I've completely caved and just ended up booking an early scan for tomorrow in the evening even though I have one booked in two weeks. I'm just stressing myself out way too much worrying that somethings wrong I just have this feeling of dread in the back of my mind and it's eating away at me. So hopefully this scan tomorrow will either give me peace of mind or just confirm that we need to move on if it is a chemical or mmc.. The only problem now is that the clinic isn't allowing children, but I can have my partner so now we need to ask a family member or friend to watch our DD for an hour without them questioning where we are going.. does anyone have a good excuse for why they would need to babysit for all of 1 hour 😩

Loopy39 · 15/08/2020 11:56

Go for a meal afterwards and make the most of a babysitting opportunity! 😅

Avril2020 · 15/08/2020 12:05

@Loopy39 this has reassured me somewhat. I've got a video booking in appointment next week and worry I'll cry about my worries and look like a wally.

indecisivewoman81 · 15/08/2020 13:26

Hello can I please join? Found out today that I am pregnant. Only thing really worrying me at present is a tiny amount of spotting and the clear blue saying 1-2 weeks when I thought it would say 2-3.

Apricotta · 15/08/2020 16:19

@clueless987. Saying your considering moving house because of the no stamp duty bargain but don't want to tell the kids until you've decided on a house?

@JLM1008 how were the eggs?

@indecisivewoman81 congratulations!!! ❤️

Apricotta · 15/08/2020 16:22

Who's got 'morning sickness' + what's it like for you? I think I'm getting it now. 5wks+5 days and it kicks in more so in mid afternoon and feels like after a night out of drinking? I don't feel I could hurl but like I have a very mild hangover 😂

leaferty · 15/08/2020 16:36

@Apricotta I'm only at my period due date today and feeling so sick! This didn't happen til a few weeks last time. Urgh!!

Mandy133 · 15/08/2020 16:38

@Apricotta hey!!

I’m just gone 6 weeks and have been getting waves of mild nausea also through out the afternoon! Some days are better than others.

Hope all is well otherwise
