Hi I’m 20, currently 19wks+4 and thought I’d try reach out to others that might be feeling left out of other threads x

@Alayna1 I had my first scan at about 7 weeks so I think that's fairly normal. I was the same way waiting, drove myself crazy wanting to make sure everything was okay. It's really hard to keep your mind off it but try to keep busy with other things if you can, it does help

Is anybody still worrying about this 1 birthing partner rule? I really am hoping to have my sister and my mom in there but i haven’t heard about any changes at the hospital

@bluebell94 I’m also a nurse! I’ve not been working either. I think I’m due back next month. I’m a bit worried about it but I work in OPD so it’s not too bad with patient contact luckily. Hope it all goes well for you x

@Lulubon ah hope it goes well for you when you go back and your manager is good with risk assessment etc! I work in occ health so I can technically do some of my job from home if they got me a laptop and phone but it's a lot more difficult so my manager is trying to figure out what else I can do from home. I think she's being over cautious really but I can't blame her, I said I'm more than happy to be in work with PPE and precautions until 28 weeks but she'd rather I stayed home. Bored out my mind and finding it all very odd! X

@bluebell94 oh that’s even better then! Sounds like you’ve got a really understanding manager. Mines lovely but I think she’s slightly dreading my return 😂 it really is odd isn’t it x

@sha12 yes I am worried about the 1 birth partner rule! My partner cannot drive, he was learning to drive before lockdown but his lessons are currently at a halt! I so badly want to give birth at the local birth centre which is only 15-20 minutes away from my house whereas the hospital is 35-40 minutes away. I worry that if I get rushed to the hospital, at the moment partners are not allowed in the ambulance and have to meet you at the hospital, so my partner would be stuck at the birth centre until someone picks him up and takes him there! I'm not too worried about getting to the birth centre and getting back as we have family that live close that have all offered to drive us there when I'm in labour! But would he handy if I could have another birth partner that can drive in case of an emergency!

@Chl00 congratulations! You have such good photos! We had a private scan last week and were having a boy too! It was such a nice experience having my partner there! My boy wasn't playing ball when we had the scan kept turning his back on us and put his hand over his face when they went onto 4D! How far along are you? I was 16+6 when we had the scan

@EBM20 I’m 21 weeks today, was 20+4 when I had my scan, our little boy is a lively one he doesn’t stop moving around especially in the evening and we had a late scan at nearly 9pm

@chl00 I can't stop shopping now we know it's a boy! Heading to lidl tonight to check out their baby event! Tesco have some very cute boy outfits at the moment! And I never knew boots did clothing, they have some cute babygrows too!
