Hi, thought I'd join! I'm 20 on Monday and currently 39+1 with my little boy, I'm due to be induced on Friday- a day before my due date. Super nervous with all of these restrictions in place! Hope everyone is doing well xx

Rexodus · 02/08/2020 08:21

Heya! I'm 22 and currently 16+4! I feel absolutely no pregnancy symptoms since being in my second trimester and honestly I'm so worried even thiugh midwife has said everything's all good - just want my 20 week scan to hurry and get here or to feel them moving! I don't have anyone other than my other half and mum to talk to about it so I'm really glad to have found this thread!

Amyyy1 · 02/08/2020 08:49

@watermelonsugar99 Congrats! How exciting, you don't have much longer to wait to meet your baby😍

@Rexodus I'm 22 as well! I'll be 23 once baby is here. Are you planning on finding out the gender? Xx

Rexodus · 02/08/2020 11:55

@Amyyy1aa congrats! How far along are you? I'll be having a very sleept birthday nexy year as baby is due before both minr and my other halfs birthdays, so I'm happy you get to enjoy your 23rd before hand! Yes we are planning to, we're hoping for and both are families seem to think they will be too, but at the end of the day if they are a girl its no issue at all, just makes choosing names harder for us! What about you, are you planning to find out too?

@Rexodus I'm 22+4, I found out I'm having a little girl at a 16 week private scan and then confirmed at my 20 week NHS scan. My whole family and OH all thought it would be a girl as well😂 I would have been happy with whatever gender but I was really struggling with boys names!!! X

@canyouhearmybells I will look into getting that! Thank you for your suggestion 😁

@Amyyy1 aaa congratulations! Honestly you sound like me but the other way around; I haven’t even found a girls name I like yet so I think if they do turn out to be a girl I’m gonna have to search far and wide for a name for them!

@canyouhearmybells I’m the same way! Boys names are rolling off mine and OH’s tongues whereas we are stumped for girls names!

EBM20 · 02/08/2020 22:00

I'm 24 weeks, after weeks of discussing and constantly disagreeing on boys and girls names before we found out at 16+5 were having a boy, we agreed on a boys name whilst driving home from the scan that day! We haven't told anyone the name yet but plan to tell close family and friends after our 4D private scan in september, I'll be 28 weeks by then. Its crazy how fast this pregnancy is going, only 16 weeks to go!

watermelonsugar99 · 04/08/2020 19:09

Hi! Thought I would update everyone from my previous post. I had my baby boy Oliver at 7:07am this morning, weighing 7lbs. The most surreal experience ever!

I went into labour on Sunday right through until 4am this morning when they said I could start pushing from 5, after an hour and a bit of pushing I ended up getting rushed to theatre as his head wouldn't turn at all. Got given an epidural, had an episiotomy and within 3 pushes with the surgeons using forceps he was here! For anyone who's worrying about going into hospital at times like this, or for if you're worried about things not going your way just know that I've had the best care ever it's almost as if the virus isn't happening, the midwives/nurses/surgeons have been absolutely amazing at taking care of me, my fiancé and baby! And if things don't go your way, at the time it seems like the most horrific thing ever but when your baby is here you'd happily do it all over again ❤️ good luck to all the mammas to be!! I know you's will smash it 🥰

@watermelonsugar99 congratulations! Hes gorgeous! Hope you are both well!

Lulubon · 04/08/2020 19:45

@watermelonsugar99 aww congrats! He’s a sweetie 😍 how long was your partner allowed to stay for after the birth? Mine only allows them to stay for an hour x

watermelonsugar99 · 04/08/2020 19:51

@EBM20 thank you so much!

@Lulubon Awh thank you so much! My partner is still with me now and is staying over with me again tonight, I'm not too sure if he'll be able to tomorrow if I get kept in but I'm hoping we're home by then, visitors are only 1 person a day that has to be pre booked and only for half an hour xx

Lulubon · 04/08/2020 19:53

@watermelonsugar99 oh wow that’s amazing! My hospital is soooo strict 😫 x

watermelonsugar99 · 04/08/2020 19:57

@Lulubon mine says partners have to go home after an hour online so I was petrified but I've found it amazing it's like there's no virus (excluding the constant face masks & not getting too close/not being able to leave the rooms etc) I don't know if it's because when I was admitted there was next to no one in the hospital, maybe it would be a different story if it was super busy? X

Lulubon · 04/08/2020 20:00

@watermelonsugar99 oh wow okay! Maybe it just depends on what happens when you get there! Hope you have a speedy recovery x

watermelonsugar99 · 04/08/2020 20:11

@Lulubon yeah I'm assuming so! Either that or it's because I can't move out of bed yet so I can't get over to baby when he cries etc. Maybe they've just let him stay as they can't help because they're busy with other things? But thank you very much :) xx

Lulubon · 04/08/2020 20:13

@watermelonsugar99 yeah! It could be anything to be fair! But what a lovely surprise for you either way x

Amyyy1 · 05/08/2020 09:20

@watermelonsugar99 Oh my goodness congrats!!!!! He looks beautiful 🥰 So pleased for you xxx

Chl00 · 05/08/2020 09:24

How is everyone getting on? Currently 31+3 and getting exhausted now 😂😂

OP posts:
EBM20 · 31/08/2020 21:46

28+1 exhaustion is beginning to hit me. Back to working 40 hours a week and I'm up every few hours needing a pee then I'm really thirsty so drink a glass or two of water then baby is very active so takes me an hour to get back to sleep 😫 we have a private 4d scan booked on Wednesday I'm so excited to see him again!

Lulubon · 31/08/2020 22:45

@EBM20
Omg I’m 29 weeks and I’m having the EXACT same problem! Up every few hours in the night. And he kicks all day and night which I love but it’s hard to sleep isn’t it! Hope you enjoy the 4d scan.

My bump was measuring super small (under the 3rd centile) and had to have a scan the next morning. He’s actually apparently a normal size which is good. Has anyone else had this? My bump really is tiny and I find it hard to believe he’s normal size!

EBM20 · 10/09/2020 16:55

I'm 29 weeks and just had a letter through from the health visitor saying she will visit my home on xx date, I will be 32 weeks on the date she is visiting. Has anyone else had this and what its about? I feel like I'm panicking about the appointment! I've only ever heard not so nice things about health visitors
