@Lulubon I have awful anxiety too which is why I'm so desperate to feel my baby moving around!!! X

Lulubon · 13/06/2020 13:09

@Amyyy1 it’s so hard isn’t it! I find it completely consumes me. Sorry to hear you feel the same 😢 nice to not be alone in this x

toastandmoretoast · 13/06/2020 15:43

Just came on this thread out of curiosity- I'm 31 so pretty sure I don't count as a young mum lol but never felt when I've been on that there's been anyone left out due to age. I haven't been on much though and never found out anyone's age. Pretty rubbish that so many have felt this though!

happygolucky6 · 13/06/2020 17:01

@Amyyy1 @Lulubon soon you'll be cursing the feet kicking your ribs!! 🦶🏻 xxx

Lulubon · 13/06/2020 17:09

Hey all

I'm 29 and 33 weeks pregnant, going to be a first time mum. I think I may be the eldest in the thread but I still feel young lol.

I'm currently living with my partner's parents as me and my partner are busy renovating on our own place before baby comes in august.

I feel as though his mum underestimates me and my partner, she is always interfering when we are buying things for the baby and comparing it to when she was pregnant. Hmm

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 12:13

Hi girlies I'm 24 years old and I'm 9 weeks Pregnant with my first baby !! Very excited but also feeling rubbish haha. How is everyone ?

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 12:15

@kaxxz oh god that sounds horrible I stayed with my in laws after marriage and left within the 5 months. My plan was to stay there and save up for a house and then move out but I couldn't take being controlled by my MIL and FIL and always interfering I couldn't and if I was still living there being pregnant I would have been worse ! As I can imagine my MIL comparing her pregnancy to mine eurgh I would dieeeee 😭

kaxxz · 15/06/2020 13:12

@Newbee123 it's a good job you moved out. We were supposed to move out months ago but the pandemic put everything on hold.

I do find my MIL cringey, she even compared my baby bump to hers lol

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 13:20

@kaxxz haha that's MIL's for you. Mine got
To a point It was mentally affecting me nearly broke my marriage actually but I'm finally happy :) and yours doesn't sound to bad

Pol96 · 15/06/2020 14:01

Hi everyone, welcome to all the new first time mums!
I've finally had my booking appointment! Feels much more real now! Now looking forward to the scan letter to come through

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 14:31

@Pol96 I just had my first ever appointment through the phone unfortunately I couldn't have my bloods and usual stuff to be taken so I have to do it when I have my first scan in July. Sending lots of love we are here if you need someone to talk to ❤️

Chl00 · 15/06/2020 14:50

So I called my hospital today and they said that my OH can’t come to my gender scan so I now have a private scan that he can come to tomorrow night and then we’ll wake up and I’ll go to the nhs one.. 2 scans in 2 days😂😂 #CrazyFirstTimeMum

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 14:55

@Chl00 haha I didn't think of that ! As my husband isn't allowed at my scan in July

Chl00 · 15/06/2020 14:58

We thought that it would be fine he’ll find out a few minutes after me but my scan is not Wednesday and I felt sad so lucky there was a last minute appointment for 8:45pm tomorrow😅 hopefully things will go back to normal soon x

Pol96 · 15/06/2020 15:00

@Chl00 we're also booking a private one for just before my nhs scan
@Newbee123 I'm so glad that you've joined the group as I was the only one under 12 weeks for a while!

happygolucky6 · 15/06/2020 15:22

@Chl00 you'll find the private one will be much nicer anyway, partly because your OH is there but also because it's private they spend more time scanning you and discussing it all. So exciting!!!

I've got a private growth scan tomorrow, 35 weeks now so it'll be the last one i have before she's here.

You can never have too many scans tho!!! They're all magical. 🌟

Chl00 · 15/06/2020 15:48

@Pol96 @happygolucky6 yeah I’m much more excited for the private one I wish I did it sooner

Pol96 · 15/06/2020 15:52

@Chl00 @happygolucky6 I can't wait to have mine! Also super scared that there won't be a baby in there 😂😅

BabyG08 · 15/06/2020 16:00

Hi all, I’m 24 and 32 weeks. I’ve been off work since lockdown begun and won’t be returning, which is quite sad in a way as I work in a nursery so a lot of the children I looked after will be all grown up and maybe not even there after maternity leave. Not working and being home alone while my partner has been working has been tough simply because I’m not used to it. I suppose it’s nice to have time to rest and prepare but there’s only so much you can find to do 😂...
Congratulations everyone on your pregnancies! It’s lovely to have people of a similar age to reach out to!

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 16:31

@Pol96 haha glad I could be of help :)

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 16:32

@BabyG08 I'm on the same boat as you ! Career wise anyway I'm doing baby sitting for now as my nursery hasn't taken me back yet I'm bank staff !
