Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

May I join? So excited, am 6+1 with my second, due January 9th!

BabyDust13 · 17/05/2020 09:05

@Violetlilac congratulations

I think MN is a blessing and a curse because you read more about things that have gone wrong because if someone has a happy/healthy pregnancy they don't come on here and share about it but if things have gone wrong they need people to talk to so it looks like things go wrong more often than they actually do

Keep positive 😊

Brodijen · 17/05/2020 12:06

Hi everyone!
Due 16th Jan according to my doc. I had a MMC last Oct and been trying again since December. Feel incredibly lucky and terrified all at the same time...anyone else? I had deep cramps and aches since I implanted (I think) and since yesterday they’ve subsided so of course I’m reading too much into that and thinking the worst. Boobs still kind of tender. Reassurance please!

lamypye · 17/05/2020 12:19

Congrats everyone, seems 15th jane is a popular due date Smile I'm due then and that's also my birthday so I am due on my birthday 🙈 had a slight brown tinge to discharge this morning sorry tmi ... trying not to worry about that but I'm cramping as well... hopefully it's just normal. X

Dia12 · 17/05/2020 20:12

Congrats to the newbies to the group.

My due date is 19th Jan but I dare not think that far ahead so totally get what you mean about being excited but terrified @Brodijen. I've had cramps too since implantation - they come and go and feels distinctly different from period pain. Breast have only just started to feel tender and I'm 5w today. I would say these are all positive signs.

In addition, I have had some yellow ewcm today as I wiped but not much on my panty liner. It did get me really stressed out the entire morning but have decided I'm still pregnant until proven otherwise!

HopeWish · 17/05/2020 20:20

So 4w2d now and already feeling the symptoms. I got a positive test pretty early so I don't know if it's just higher hormone levels as I didn't think I would feel symptoms so early!

Anybody else suffering?

Nausea (but no vomiting yet luckily)
Bloating
Cramps
Absolute exhaustion
Emotional (I cried at Gardener's World the other night at the tribute to Nigel! - yes I watch Gardener's World...)

I told my mum yesterday and she has been sending me some very soppy texts XD

kim160790 · 17/05/2020 21:23

Hey everyone congrats on the BFPs 😁 I'm due 18th January 2 days before DD#2 birthday! Definitely different to previous pregnancies.. have been cramping since ovulation which is new to me and have only just begun having increased EWCM. It's going to be a very long 35 weeks!

WindsorBlues · 17/05/2020 22:35

I wake up at 0800 and spend the next four hours trying to work from home feeling nauseous. By noon a switch flips and I just pass out and sleep for a few hours, log on for work again at about 4pm and do an extra few hours work. Sickness finally passes for about ten pm and I should be sleeping again within the next 30 minutes.

I don't know how I would cope if I had to go into the office feeling this way, and hats off to all the mums doing it who already have kids to look after. I have zero appetite and can't even think of food without heaving, currently living on fruit juice, chips and rich tea biscuits.

whiteolive · 17/05/2020 22:54

First time posting on a forum but i need to put this in writing for it to feel real. Before starting, congratulations everyone! First baby, found out I was pregnant very recently with due date 15th Jan. Booking appointment on the 27th May.

Haven’t told anyone, apart from my fiancé of course, I feel scared to tell anyone at this stage.

Apart from sore boobs, cramping and feeling sick it doesn’t feel like I’m actually pregnant. I don’t think it’s sunk in and won’t until I have my first scan. Also feeling nervous that I’ll have to do that part alone.

Onekidnoclue · 18/05/2020 10:55

Hi ladies. Congratulations to everyone!
It’s such a weird time isn’t it. I feel like a fraud. Like I’m not really pregnant. It’s so strange. I don’t think I’ll believe it until I see a heartbeat.
I’m so sorry for all of you who have lost pregnancies before. I’m sure it must be even more stressful.
Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone, I wanted some advice. I got my BFP positives on Thursday. But it was all late afternoon urine and barely any pee tbh! I was impatient and had been feeling weird for days.

It says 1-2 weeks which means 3-4 weeks NHS. However, last month (21st April) my period wasn't like a normal period. And I have a blood disorder which means I bleed more than someone without the disorder would. And read that my implantation bleed could be heavier.

I called the GP and she said it sounds like its a pregnancy from this month not last and would be in line with the digital test. She said she'd refer me to the midwife service and they'd be in touch.

I still have this gut feeling that its not from this month tho! And the first positive was literally a trickle of urine late afternoon and it came up sooo strong straight away.

What would you all suggest? Would you suggest doing another digital test with fmu?

Dia12 · 18/05/2020 17:07

Ditto @onekidnoclue - absolutely feel ridiculous saying it. I've only told 2 very close friends and couldn't even say it properly. I said something like "I think I might be pregnant"!!
Like you, once I see a heartbeat it will feel real 💕

I'd definitely do another HPT @ttcchapter1 and then get an early scan at week 7/8. What was your dpo last thurs when you got the strong positive? In the meanwhile just enjoy the BFP.

Onekidnoclue · 18/05/2020 17:59

How stressful @ttcchapter1 i appreciated it might not seem like a big deal but you need to know so the 12 week check is at the right time. Some of the tests they do have to be within a time window. I’m not sure if there’s a dating option other than an early scan?? Good luck

@onekidnoclue
@Dia12

Thank you very much for responses.

Will be taking another digi tomoro with 1st morning urine! So hopefully I'll have a clearer answer. Called midwife today and my booking in appt is 31st May over the phone and they also might have me in for an early scan due to a blood issue I have.

BabyDust13 · 19/05/2020 13:01

Hey ladies
How is everyone doing today?
I'm 4+4 today don't really feel any different today just tired
2 more digis arrived this morning but I have refrained from using them

ttcchapter1 · 19/05/2020 13:26

Problem solved! It was this months cycle that I got pregnant 🥳 so so happy, just hoping everything goes perfectly.

Due January - anyone else?
Dia12 · 19/05/2020 13:38

Yay @ttcchapter1 - congrats! Glad that's put your mind to rest and now can enjoy the BFP.

I'm 5+2 and still don't have many symptoms @BabyDust13. Most women will need to have a build up of hcg at around 6weeks before they start to have morning sickness.

So far my only symptoms are:
Frequent urination
Sore nipple
Very pale pink discharge today
Elevated resting heart rate

Not sure sure if I should be worried about the last one but it is playing on my mind. My resting heart rate has dropped by a couple of beats Confused

BabyDust13 · 19/05/2020 14:00

@ttcchapter1 🥳🥳 congrats it's so exciting and nerve racking all at the same time isn't it

BabyDust13 · 19/05/2020 14:03

@Dia12 I don't think you need to worry I'm sure it would fluctuate a bit it can't continue going up that can't be healthy

It's good to know I'm not the only one not having many symptoms although I am considering setting up camp in the bathroom 😂

Onekidnoclue · 19/05/2020 14:47

I’m peeing non stop too! Blush glad I’m not in the office.
Good news on the test @ttcchapter1 hope that’s put your mind at ease.

Hello I'm 5+4 today and I've just come from the hospital where I move had an internal scan so I'm definitely pregnant!

I lost a daughter at 20 weeks last October and another miscarriage at 7 weeks in February hence the early scan today and another next week.

I do have a lovely 2 year old and 20 year old (yes big gap). So this will be our last baby as I'm 40 now. Hello to everyone and congratulations to you all. 💐

ttcchapter1 · 19/05/2020 18:17

@onekidnoclue thank you! I know, I spend 80% of my day in the toilet 😂

Thank you everyone for the kind messages! Wishing you all healthy and beautiful pregnancies.

TeamRocket · 19/05/2020 18:32

Congratulations on the BFPs everyone! Got mine last week, NHS calculator is saying 19th Jan due date. Second baby here...agree with everyone saying that telling people is weird!

The only symptoms I've had are sore back and sore boobs, although I'm working from home at the moment so been able to be bra free today!

Gurtie28 · 19/05/2020 18:46

Hello all can I join too!!!
Think I'm due 21st Jan same as @Violetlilac
Just 2 months after I had surgical removal of MMC so feel anxious but actually pretty good, lockdown has given me more time to exercise, cook fresh and getting loads of sun so feeling super healthy - let's hope baby is too!!!
I have been having some brown discharge (tmi) but google tells me this is ok? Anyone else?

@onekidnoclue I also have a just turned 3 year old! Birthday 30th April, how about yours? How have you been finding lockdown with a 3 year old....it's going to be harder now I can't have a cheeky wine in the evening Confused

So nice to have a group to talk to on here, esp as we not telling a single soul until we get that 12week scan and know all is ok!!

LaurenMay · 19/05/2020 19:03

Me!! I got my BFP around 1am yesterday morning and my birthday 25th Bday was the 16th.
This is my first time... really scared it's going to turn out to be chemical...

My NHS due date is the 21st!

@Popcat120 can I join the Facebook group please?
So exciting 😁☺️☺️
