Hi all,
I went for a private scan yesterday thinking I was approx 7 weeks + 6 days. It’s been measured at 6 weeks 5 days and no heartbeat has been detected. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and has anyone ever had a successful story? I’m confident it must be a missed miscarriage. I’ve had no symptoms but my tender breasts have eased a lot now too. ☹️

Yes I’m in that stage too, finding it hard to accept. Physically I’m alright, bleeding has stopped just keep getting random spotting. I really want to get pregnant again but I don’t know how long my cycle will take to be back to normal xx

@BC11 I'm doing OK thank you, just plodding on. Ive been getting random spotting too. I feel exactly same as you and just want to be pregnant again. Im going to do a pregnancy test on Thursday and if it's negative then I'm gunna just try from there and hope for the best xx

BC11 · 01/06/2020 12:29

@Furbabymum15 so happy you’re going to try again. We’ll get our time, we have to xxx

@BC11 we sure will do...... I told myself I wasn't going to because I couldn't take a 3rd mmc but what if this is it...😉 Xx

BC11 · 01/06/2020 15:16

Exactly @Furbabymum15 you’ve got to keep trying for your dream. I hope we’ll both get there and it’ll be lovely to hear your success story xxx

@BC11 I'm good thank you, mother nature has gifted me with my 1st period....... More bleeding!!! Haha how are you doin? x

BC11 · 17/06/2020 19:27

@Furbabymum15 I still haven’t had first period so a bit worried! ☹️🤷🏽‍♀️ Xxx

OP posts:
Furbabymum15 · 17/06/2020 22:16

@BC11 aww bless u..... don't you worry it'll be along soon. I they say 4 to 6 weeks and mother nature normally batters me badly every month so she just couldn't wait. Its been 4 wks since my medical management. Hang in there! I hope you're doing OK.? I went back to work today and feel like I walked into a parallel universe! Xx

BC11 · 18/06/2020 08:09

@Furbabymum15 my surgery was 5 weeks ago this Monday coming. Had no signs of a period so don’t know what’s going on! Glad you’re doing ok. I’m doing okay thanks - definitely better than I was xx

@BC11 if it’s any consolation according to my tracker I had surgical management for a blighted ovum last year 13 august and it wasn’t until 17 September I got my first natural period!

I’ve just checked and that is also nearly bang on 5 weeks! It just depends on when your HCG Levels returned back to 0.

Ive had a rummage through my texts and I went to the GP at the beginning of September as we were going on holiday abroad and I was still getting positive pregnancy tests and my HCG was still at 8!

This is such a horrible and upsetting time for you and my only advice is try and find some impossible way to relax and get some semblance of enjoyment in your life atm! I don’t think it was a coincidence I got my period the day after we got back from our two week holiday - This was booked prior to our pregnancy/miscarriage and we decided to still go on it to try and reconnect and repair some do the damage we had done to ourselves and our marriage xx

BC11 · 18/06/2020 11:15

@MrsRose2018 thanks for the reassurance. Pregnancy tests are coming back negative but I’ve just had no symptoms at all of a period coming. I used to get symptoms like a week before. I just keep hoping something’s not wrong ☹️xx

@BC11 I'm sure all will return very soon, but I know its frustrating. I'm glad you're feeling better than you were xx

BC11 · 18/06/2020 19:45

@Furbabymum15 thanks. Hope something isn’t wrong, want it back to normal now xx

Furbabymum15 · 18/06/2020 21:24

@BC11 I'm sure everything is perfectly fine but if you're still not had any sign at around 6/7 wks may be worth a chat with your GP. You've had a negative pregnancy test haven't you?, xx

BC11 · 18/06/2020 21:27

@Furbabymum15 yeah had a negative about a week and half ago! Did another to double check yesterday and yep.. still negative!!! Xx

BC11 · 21/06/2020 15:48

@Furbabymum15 hello! Luckily today I’ve started bleeding. Painful period but thankful that It’s started. Cycle can get back to normal, and we can try again when we feel a little more normal! How are you? Xx

@BC11 so pleased for you (I know that's a weird thing to say)

this is an entirely personal decision but your cycle may be a bit wacky whilst you fully recover from your miscarriage!

If you want to get straight back on TTC (which me and my husband did) you may want to consider trying the Natural Cycles/basal body thermometer testing in conjunction with OPKs. It's more reliable in these uncertain times

We conceived 2 cycles following my first natural period after the MC xx

BC11 · 21/06/2020 16:57

@MrsRose2018 hi, thanks for your kind words. what are those? Thanks. It’s nice to hear people’s stories - glad you’ve had a successful pregnancy xx

www.naturalcycles.com/plan-pregnancy

It's an app that you use in conjunction with a thermometer. You take you temperature every morning the second you wake up at the same time and you log it on the app. This then creates a chart as attached which helps you to predict your ovulation/fertile days! This is used with OPKs/ovulation sticks which you just get from amazon for like a fiver!

I honestly believe this app is why I'm pregnant again now! We used it after the MC and were pregnant on the first try (I didn't start using it till the period AFTER my first natural period post MC) where as we had been trying for months before that!

Sorry cut the photo off a bit!

The green showed me as not fertile, the dark dark red was me most fertile! Interestingly the ovulation date on the app was at least 3 days out of what "normal" calculations/ovulation teachers showed me as!

The blue is when I fell "pregnant" (as THEY calculate conception from ovulation).

Just as a point of interest that dip in the blue line before it increases is what's called an "implantation dip".

Anyway This was just something that gave me a bit of control and distraction is all the mess xx
