No heartbeat detected at ultrasound

Hi all,
I went for a private scan yesterday thinking I was approx 7 weeks + 6 days. It’s been measured at 6 weeks 5 days and no heartbeat has been detected. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and has anyone ever had a successful story? I’m confident it must be a missed miscarriage. I’ve had no symptoms but my tender breasts have eased a lot now too. ☹️

I'm so sorry @Furbabymum15, I had 2 MMCs last year. It's really hard to process. I'll be thinking of you 💜

@BC11 sending you lots of love xx

BC11 · 16/05/2020 13:34

@Furbabymum15 Thank you. I’ll be thinking about you Monday, let me know how you get on. @VenusStarr I still feel absolutely shattered all the time - no matter how much sleep I have. Is this likely to be because of my hormones being all over the place still? Xxx

VenusStarr · 16/05/2020 14:10

I think so @BC11, for me the hormone fluctuations felt quite erratic for a few weeks. It was like I could feel them dropping. One minute I'd be fine, the next I wasn't. It does settle eventually xx

BC11 · 16/05/2020 14:20

Thank you @venusstarr hope you’re feeling okay xx

BC11 · 17/05/2020 20:40

Hi @Furbabymum15 good luck tomorrow, hope all goes as well as it can. How you feeling? Xx

OP posts:
Furbabymum15 · 17/05/2020 20:43

@BC11 thankyou bless ya for thinking of me. I'm ok but nervous and upset when I think about it. I'm getting a bit crampy so would be surprised if it kicks off soon. How are you feeling today? X

BC11 · 17/05/2020 20:55

@Furbabymum15 No surprise you’re feeling like that. By far the worst feeling, it makes me feel so empty and numb. It’s difficult to describe to people who haven’t been through it. Hope it does kick off for you naturally, and over with fast so you can start to recover a bit better. I’m getting there, up and down. Worried about tomorrow as I didn’t really want the surgical option. Xx

Furbabymum15 · 17/05/2020 21:30

@BC11 aww you will be fine Hun, I had the tablets last time and it was brutal. I really didn't want it again but they won't do the surgical option for me this time because of Corona virus. (I'm in Yorkshire). I agree it's an awful feeling takes a long time for the body and mind to catch up and by the time they do it's all changed again. It's like I know I'm pregnant but my mind knows that it's basically over but my body still in pregnancy mode. Then by the time the process is over my mind has to readjust to what has just happened x on a plus side a lovely work colleague called by today with a lovely box of chocs I can enjoy in a few days. Big hugs to you, we can get through this together ❤️

BC11 · 17/05/2020 21:33

@Furbabymum15 Aw really, why was it awful last time? I’ve only lost one blood clot, barely any bleeding which I thought might have been in. But apparently more is expected.
Would you have opted for the surgery if you could?
Yes, my body still is in pregnancy mode it’s absolutely horrible. My mind wants to believe it too ☹️. Aw that’s a lovely gesture! Xx

Furbabymum15 · 17/05/2020 21:53

I would 100 percent take the surgery....last time they vised me taking the tablet, and sent me home. Within 5 minutes of taking the pillmy tounge felt like it had several lacerations, while walking to the car I was shaking with cold my teeth were banging I was so cold, by time I got home I was lightly bleeding then within a few hours the bleeding was uncontrollable I had to stay on the toilet it was so thick and heavy. After a few hours the baby passed and I continued to bleed uncontrollably for hours. Every time I moved away from toilet it gushed everywhere. In total I bled for 16 days. I know what pain I'm facing tomorrow and it's not gunna be pretty. I've to go alone also ❤️

BC11 · 17/05/2020 22:16

@Furbabymum15 oh my god that sound awful! I really hope it’s a bit better for you this time! ☹️. It’s horrible how we have to go alone, at a time like this we really need the support. Have you got anyone who can wait in the car for you? Xx

Furbabymum15 · 18/05/2020 09:02

@ VenusStar thankyou so much, the hospital can't do mine today now so I've to wait til tomorrow ☹️

BC11 · 18/05/2020 09:09

@VenusStarr Thank you! I’ll let you know how I get on.
@Furbabymum15 thank you! Oh my god, WHAT! That’s horrendous! Why are they prolonging it for you. Do you need a bed for the medication? They just put me on a chair and gave it me and discharged me after 20. That’s ridiculous. ☹️ Xx

VenusStarr · 18/05/2020 09:14

@VenusStarr @Furbabymum15 hi both. Had surgery and back home recovering now. I feel okay at the minute. The hospital staff were absolutely amazing. Offered me to have the baby’s ashes too which is really nice and gave me a teddy for aching arms charity. Hope you’re both okay xxx
