No heartbeat detected at ultrasound

Hi all,
I went for a private scan yesterday thinking I was approx 7 weeks + 6 days. It’s been measured at 6 weeks 5 days and no heartbeat has been detected. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and has anyone ever had a successful story? I’m confident it must be a missed miscarriage. I’ve had no symptoms but my tender breasts have eased a lot now too. ☹️

@venustarr hi, thanks for messaging. I thought I was doing ok, but tonight it’s just all hit me and I feel so lonely. I had a clot come out yesterday and a tiny bit of bleeding but I’m not bleeding anymore and don’t believe I’ve bled enough. X

@BC11 hey, I'm sorry to read you're going through this. I had medical management at 12 weeks and I deeply sympathize with you. I just wanted to let you know you're not alone and I'm thinking about you xx

I'm sorry @BC11 it can feel very lonely. I remember feeling quite numb at times. When are you due a follow up with the hospital? Xx

@venusstarr they asked me to ring them tomorrow to let them know how I’m getting on and see if I need to go back in. I do feel I need to go back as I’ve honestly hardly bled :/ Xx

In my experience it was clear once I'd passed the pregnancy, did you have much pain yesterday? I'm pleased they're not making you wait too long for a follow up. They might want you back for another scan @BC11 xx

@ BC11 everyone is different, I bled from after a few hours of taking the tablets, the baby passed about 10 hours later but the bleeding up to and for a few days after was brutal xx they scanned me 4 wks after to check everything was gone xx don't be afraid to ask for help it's a brutal experience and you deserve after care xx

@VenusStarr @Furbabymum15 I had one blood clot yesterday about the size of a 50p which could have well been the pregnancy - but haven’t had much bleeding at all since then. And nothing at all today, so I’m unsure xx

It's difficult to say @BC11, like @Furbabymum15 said it can be different for everyone, so it might not be helpful to speculate. Hopefully the hospital will give you more information tomorrow. Its difficult not to think of every eventually and second guess things. I hope you are managing to rest xx

I almost don't want to say but sadly I've had 3 losses (one very early in February, the other 2 were missed miscarriages last year), still trying for our first. My situation isn't common though I don't think as we've struggled with infertilty too, so please try not to worry xx

Glad you've spoken to them already @BC11, sorry you've got to take more medication. I hope it is over quickly. I think I already said but a heat wrap or hot water bottle really helped me. I'll be thinking of you today ❤️ xxx

I had cramps Monday and a hot water bottle was my life saver! Hopefully after the medication today it’s over quickly! Xx
