@Clalou83 when I went for my initial booking scan back in March, she had booked me for June 5th as my next midwife appointment I'll be exactly 19 weeks then. Not sure if it will be cancelled or over the phone yet. I've still got over 2 weeks left for my 20 week scan yet which I'll be 21 weeks at exactly lol. If you don't hear anything maybe just call them and ask when your next appointment will be?

SamK93 · 02/06/2020 21:31

@Clalou83 I just re read the message where you've put you have already called them! sorry about that, or you could ask at your 20 week scan what's happening regarding appointments?

Mc3209 · 02/06/2020 21:36

@Clalou83 that's a good tip for a frozen snack. Will try that one out.
@1990shopefulftm I actually keep a weight diary in one of the pregnancy apps with weekly weigh ins (every Sunday). I can see how that can be a slippery slope..
@WaveStreet I am just not going to buy any crap. If it's in my kitchen I will eat it, the whole lot in one go. My appetite is going bonkers this week.

@Mc3209 yes my pregnancy app has that option but I m avoiding using it as I know it wouldn't do me any good. I didn't get weighed until 13 weeks so I m wondering how out the growth chart in my notes is.

DressingGown87 · 02/06/2020 21:57

@WaveStreet love that comment! You now got me thinking about the packet of chocolate hobnobs sat in the kitchen cupboard 😂

I’ve just accepted that I’m going to put on weight, trying to eat fruit lots, and smaller portions and salads. But not going to weigh myself.

@Clalou83 thanks for that tip! Love natural yoghurt with berries and grapes. Will try it frozen.

Clalou83 · 02/06/2020 22:40

@Mc3209 @DressingGown87
He does lots of diff versions (Joe Wicks)
Mix 50g Greek yog with honey spread on a backing tray covered with foil then add your bits here's the one I did.
Freeze for 3/4 hours, then when you take a piece out perhaps get out ten minutes before ready to eat so it softens and tastier.

@SamK93 Thank you. Yeah I have my scan next Thursday so if I have no luck I'll make sure I get some information on my next appointments going forward. Sure it's just a blip, as I've heard good things about the service in my area. 🙏

Clalou83 · 02/06/2020 22:51

Probably 150g actually lol

Freddie1987 · 02/06/2020 23:40

@Clalou83 that looks amazing and sounds right up my street! I've been craving lots of fruit recently and love it with yoghurt, bit unusual for me as I'm usually more of a veggie gal but I'm definitely ok to give in to this craving! My cheese and bread habit on the other hand...

Clalou83 · 03/06/2020 08:11

@Freddie1987 I'm the same with cheese lol

1990shopefulftm · 03/06/2020 08:24

So glad to wake up to it raining this morning, wouldn't normally hope for a rainy summer but I d appreciate one this year with how difficult it is to sleep.

KitKatKit · 03/06/2020 08:31

@Clalou83 Wow that looks fab, thanks for sharing!

@Freddie1987 same here with the bread and cheese...I've been scoffing it since day dot!

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and all was okay thankfully. Still haven't felt the little guy move but I know he's okay in there now, so I just need to be patient... she says Grin

SJR86 · 03/06/2020 09:21

@KitKatKit glad your scan went well! Being patient is so much easier said than done...hopefully you'll start to feel him move soon.

I can't wait for my scan on Friday...only two more sleeps!

roarfeckingroar · 03/06/2020 09:31

@1990shopefulftm I was the same weight wise and still am to be honest when I have a lot going on so I don't keep scales in the house. It's tricky getting a balance.

Is everyone still exercising? I'm doing half an hour of prenatal yoga, 2 x a 9 minute bum/leg workout and walking about 8-10km every day to try to keep in shape but I'm not sure if it's enough.

roarfeckingroar · 03/06/2020 09:37

@KitKatKit my little one is moving a bit but I don't feel regular movement and can't stop worrying about it. I was never a worrier before pregnancy!

1990shopefulftm · 03/06/2020 09:45

@roarfeckingroar I ve been struggling with feet and knee pains recently, it's issues I ve had plenty of physio for pre pregnancy but the relaxin is aggravating it badly.

That and it's tricky to time it right for walks with people being out in my area and not always leaving distance so I probably only get about 6 miles of walking in across the week.

I probably will take time to get back to my pre pregnancy weight if at all and might end up going to physio again before I ll be able to do more than long walks once their born.

FirstSurprise001 · 03/06/2020 10:21

@roarfeckingroar I think that sounds like plenty of exercise - you’re putting me to shame here 😂

I’ve been running a mile or 2 every day and I’m hoping to get to 24-26weeks of continuing that before I give up. I went yesterday and just felt SO heavy and knackered. Other than that, a couple of dog walks a day, trying to get to 10K steps.

I have my 20 week scan today and can’t wait to see the little man again 🥰 he’s been on a mad one with kicking recently, so much so that I’m having to stop eating anything sugary after 3pm otherwise he doesn’t stop all evening 😂

FirstSurprise001 · 03/06/2020 10:21

How’s everyone’s bumps looking so far? 😊

Clalou83 · 03/06/2020 10:54

@SJR86 Yes hard to be patient some days I feel great and really positive and others like today feel really anxious I'm 19 wk tomorrow still not felt anything I am feeling cramps, I've phoned the midwife two days in a row and they haven't got back to me as still no look with an appointment. Going to try again I said to my partner surely the receptionist should slot me in for a phone apt, she just keeps saying they are busy in clinic and she will get them to call back. That wouldn't happen in a doctors the receptionist would book you in?? I did see my baby two week ago but it doesn't stop me being paranoid I do try not to worry. Some times I think it's just my mind then other times I think maybe it's a feeling something isn't right. You can drive yourself crazy can't you.

I really do want to be positive as in general I am but I guess having a previous miscarriage doesn't help but of corse don't want to dwell on this. X

SJR86 · 03/06/2020 11:02

@Clalou83 yes I have one day where I feel positive then the next I'm just full of worry that something isn't right.
I've had previous losses too so I guess it's only natural.
We can do this!!

Clalou83 · 03/06/2020 11:14

@SJR86 Finally got through to the midwife and apparently they were just calling me to see why I didn't attend my apt at 9:30 this morning. Not even been told. She said it's happened quite a lot through changing the way they do things throughout this time.

Anyway got an apt for this afternoon. Onwards and upwards Smile

SJR86 · 03/06/2020 11:19

Good glad you got an appointment. I found hearing the heartbeat was a massive relief when I had my 17 week check.

1990shopefulftm · 03/06/2020 11:30

@FirstSurprise001 I feel like it's quite a big bump already but I m sure I ll be thinking it was small in a few weeks time.

SamK93 · 03/06/2020 11:55

@FirstSurprise001 my bump is bigger than I thought it'd be, maybe with it being 3rd baby.
I was supposed to have my midwife appointment Friday, first one since being booked but she rang up this morning I was half asleep and said they weren't having anybody attend and just asked me how I was doing over the phone and if I had any worries, that was it.
Also guys my 20 week scan isn't until 19th of June now where I'll be 21 weeks it seems sooo far away to me I just want to know all is okay, I can't stop having weird funky dreams.

DressingGown87 · 03/06/2020 12:08

@Clalou83 Thank you that looks amazing. I agree, it would be nice for them to call you back, glad you got through to them finally, good luck at your appointment this afternoon. Maybe ask for a mobile number, my MW texts me everyday, just a simple you ok? Which I think is nice.

@1990shopefulftm I'm glad about the weather too, I actually might get some jobs done indoors, now it's raining.

@KitKatKit Aww glad your scan went well, you will feel it soon enough.

@roarfeckingroar That sounds like plenty, and well done for keeping it all up. I walk about 5-10km a day (or try), do a few (1-3) per week peri natal workouts and resistance band workouts. But I'm getting bigger and do need to do more. I miss swimming!

@FirstSurprise001 Good luck with your scan! Sounds like your growing a keen footballer! My bump is quite large! My friend said are you sure they've not got your dates wrong (secretly hoping they have)!
