@Glooorb I get that sharp pain when I stand up too quickly too, not sure what it is tbh. I’m definitely still getting ligament/stretching pain though

I had my midwife call today and she suggested I get a pelvic belt to stabilise my pelvis so I’ll give that a go and see if some of my aches and pains go away after that!

Freddie1987 · 18/05/2020 20:38

@FirstSurprise001 oh no, that must've been quite a shock! Glad you had a reassuring scan and congrats to you and @sunbreak on more boy news!! ☺️

DressingGown87 · 18/05/2020 21:06

@DressingGown87 well done for compiling the list 😊

My bump has definitely reduced in size! Perhaps the bloat is finally subsiding.

Jaffas22 · 18/05/2020 21:54

@DressingGown87 how exciting looking at that list!! 😄 It’s pretty even between team blue & team pink! Starting to feel more real now, and what a fab group of girls to share this journey with!

DressingGown87 · 18/05/2020 22:33

I thought boys where ahead, seems not! Plenty more to be added to the list over the coming weeks, and a few surprises! I don’t know if it’s just me but to think it’s 10/11 weeks we have been on this thread, it’s gone quick!

UpsyDaisy1234 · 19/05/2020 03:48

Congratulations!!!!@FirstSuprise001 @sunbreak

@DressingGown87 Thank you for compiling this list. It will be fun to keep track. Boys are still on the win though.

I think you missed @Mc3209 on the blue team.

Flora20 · 19/05/2020 07:22

Congrats to all who've just found about about boys or girls!

Thought I was missing some of the boys! Level at 6, with Emma’s twin girls!

EmmaA96 · 19/05/2020 08:12

Oh how lovely!!! Can’t believe how fast it seems to be going now. My stomach is definitely getting harder and I’ve felt little flutters. Too exciting

KitKatKit · 19/05/2020 09:03

Thanks for doing the adding up @DressingGown87 ! Looks like we're an even split now which is nice.
Big congratulations to everyone who has recently found out. Hope you're all doing okay x

sunbreak · 19/05/2020 10:55

So I had my 16 week appointment today. Went to the clinic and texted my MW to say I was there and if I should just wait in the car until she calls me. No reply. Went to go in and there was a A4 print out on the front door to say that if you're coming for MW appointment you should wait in the car until you're called. So I waited and 3 people at the front (who looked like they had no work so we're discussing the state of the car park) asked me what I'm here for. When I told them they said that the haven't been doing MW appointments in some time due to the Covid.
Tried to call my MW, goes to voicemail telling me to wait in the car or reschedule if I have symptoms along other info for labour etc. Call the other number on my notes and it doesn't even connect... just awful service! Couldn't even update their A4 printout or her voicemail. I'm so frustrated it's unbelievable! Just glad that we had our private scan yesterday and everything looked as it should.
Sorry about the long rant but it's really annoying that we didn't even get a text to say that there has been a change in plans or anything like this.

On a more upbeat note @DressingGown87 well done on compiling the boy vs girls list 👍🏼

1990shopefulftm · 19/05/2020 11:05

@sunbreak yeah no one told me my in person booking appointment was cancelled so turned up at the gp not knowing and had to chase for a call back later that day.

Heard nothing for a 16 week appointment over the phone so I m assuming I m not having one.

1990shopefulftm · 19/05/2020 11:08

Does any one know anything about sterilisers? I ve no idea which type is best, found a tommee tippee feeding set at a good price with an electric one but are they as good as microwave ones?

LST87 · 19/05/2020 13:26

Just caught up on the thread after a couple of weeks, thanks for all the support previously, all was well at my scan last week and I am also expecting a little girl 💖 to add to the collection.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 19/05/2020 14:11

@1990shopefulftm I'll actually be 19weeks when I get my 16week appointment (phone call ) , I guess they're just busy.

We had an electric steriliser, worked well but needed descaling weekly etc and takes up counter space. I'm considering just getting a cold water sterilising kit to use in the kitchen sink this time

1990shopefulftm · 19/05/2020 14:16

@Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt we ve got a decent amount of counter space :) oh maybe I will have an appointment after all.

DressingGown87 · 19/05/2020 15:35

@sunbreak That is really annoying, can understand your frustration. Hopefully she will return your call / text and clarify your appointment.

@1990shopefulftm I don't know much, I just have the TT one which sits on the counter.

Prams is either going to be Ocarro or the UppaBaby. Got an appointment on the 10th to test push them both.

@LST87 Aww congratulations on your little girl. Glad everything is going well.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 19/05/2020 15:56

I miss mothercare for all this stuff! I loved wandering around looking at everything, trying prams out etc when I was pregnant with my little boy

UpsyDaisy1234 · 19/05/2020 17:41

@1990shopefulftm I have the eletric tomme tippee one.I recommend. You just need to descale weekly. But the microwave & cold water sterilizers are also really good.

1990shopefulftm · 19/05/2020 17:44

@UpsyDaisy1234 descaling once a week doesn't sound too bad, I think I may order the set, thank you :)

Mc3209 · 19/05/2020 21:06

Weekly descale... I didn't even know those things need to be descaled so frequently. I am proud if I remember to descale coffee machine once a year at best.

Glooorb · 19/05/2020 23:37

@DressingGown87 ooh where are you booked with the prams? I thought all the shops are still shut so haven't been able to book any appointments for testing

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 20/05/2020 08:23

Think it's time for me to buy that sleeping pillow, last few nights I've been tossing and turning trying to get comfy.

DressingGown87 · 20/05/2020 09:42

@Glooorb My local store is starting to do one to one, in store appointments from the 4th June. It's not a chain and just a family run local business. I did have a telephone appointment with John Lewis yesterday, and they said stores start reopening from the 1st June. However I wouldn't want to visit such a large store, just yet.
