@Flora20 so strange, I literally came on here to ask if any FTM who think they have experienced kicks yet, can describe it? I think I have felt something lying on the sofa now but it was more like a definitely kick and couple of taps rather than a flutter?!

Mc3209 · 17/05/2020 17:45

@Chl00 due 31st of Oct, so almost the same dates.

@Flora20 @Freddie1987 I've been feeling something too, but I am still not sure whether it's gas or baby moving.. Can't wait to start feeling the kicks properly!

I thought I felt movement last week but this week I haven’t felt anything👀

Flora20 · 17/05/2020 17:59

@Freddie1987 @Mc3209
The early movements I think feel like there's a little fish flipping around inside - sort of twitching? I think that's the ones you are never quite sure about!

The ones I've had today are more like muscle spasms - more forceful, you know it's not gas bubbles... Like someone is poking you on the inside which makes sense! It's just above my knicker line if that helps!

Clalou83 · 17/05/2020 18:31

@Chl00 @Mc3209 I've been given 29th Oct and my scan is 3 weeks on Thursday. Not heard anything about my midwife appointment yet.

Clalou83 · 17/05/2020 18:32

@Flora20 Excited to feel those fish like flutters x

60sPony · 17/05/2020 19:50

I’ve been using the Burts Bees Mama Bee oil on my bump.. I like that it’s 100% natural and reminds me of California with its almond and lemon scent

Chl00 · 17/05/2020 20:36

@60sPony I’ve been reading reviews about the Burts Bees Mama bee ones, I’m not a huge fan of oils but have you used the Shea belly butter that they do?

Freddie1987 · 17/05/2020 21:00

@Flora20 yes! That's exactly what it's felt like, more like poking from the inside! 😆

Flora20 · 17/05/2020 21:08

@Freddie1987 😁

My mum never had stretch marks anywhere with her three kids, but when I got pregnant with my first I scratched like crazy because I didn't know what stretch marks were! I was 17 and next thing I know I got soo many on my bottom! With my second I didn't scratch at all and was persistent with Palmers Coco butter and didn't get any stretch marks at all anywhere, until the last week I got just a slight few on my stomach when I got lazy with the cream! This time round I use Palmers coco butter in the morning and bio oil at night x

roarfeckingroar · 17/05/2020 22:26

I really don't know if I've felt anything and I'm 19 weeks today. Nervously looking forward to my 20 week scan on Saturday to check everything is ok.

UpsyDaisy1234 · 18/05/2020 00:49

Won't be long ladies. Don't you worry. Soon! It's the most beautiful feeling in the world. I started feeling it since 2 days ago & i'm certain. You may already be having them too.

For ftms though, it may be difficult to distinguish these from other sensations, such as indigestion or gas. Baby flutters can feel likea tickling sensation or a popping or bubbling sensation or pokes. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks, all of us will taking about how our babies won't stop kicking & punching us...because babies are little amazing kickers.

Our babies are definitely wriggling about & doing just fine, not feeling them yet doesn't doesn't mean any worries. 😊

Flora20 · 18/05/2020 07:05

@roarfeckingroar Everything will be fine - I didn't feel anything with my first until after my 20 week scan, I remember looking at the screen and thinking why on earth I couldn't feel it as she was turning somersaults! Felt definite movements a few days later - it's definitely different between first and second. Like @UpsyDaisy1234 says, give it a few months and we'll all be complaining about being booted in the ribs and kicked in the bladder when we're trying to get to sleep!

1990shopefulftm · 18/05/2020 10:07

Couldn't tell if I had round ligament pain yesterday or Braxton Hicks perhaps, was more uncomfortable than very painful and stopped when I stood up or changed positions, however I m 17 weeks so surely a bit early for Braxton Hicks

FirstSurprise001 · 18/05/2020 15:40

Been more of a lurker on here most recently but have loved seeing how you’re all getting on and all the new boys + girls 💕

We had a private scan this afternoon after falling down the stairs yesterday (note to self, fully wake up and open eyes first) so were lucky enough to find out we’re expecting a little... BOY! Absolutely over the moon 💙 ❤️👶🏼

SamK93 · 18/05/2020 16:07

@FirstSurprise001 oh noo sorry to read about you falling down the stairs! Hope you didn't hurt yourself, I'm glad everything's ok though and congratulations on your baby boy!!💙💙

WaveStreet · 18/05/2020 16:28

Hi @FirstSurprise001 glad everything is OK with you both and yay for team blue 💙

1990shopefulftm · 18/05/2020 17:09

@FirstSurprise001 I m glad everything is okay after the fall. Congratulations :) a lot of boys in the group. Got a gut feeling I m having a boy but got a 3 week wait to find out.

sunbreak · 18/05/2020 18:38

Our private scan was today, we're expecting a nice and healthy baby boy. Another one to add to the club 😊💙💙

FirstSurprise001 · 18/05/2020 19:16

Congratulations @sunbreak !! 🥰

SamK93 · 18/05/2020 19:34

Congrats @sunbreak 💙💙

@1990shopefulftm I have a gut feeling with mine too, another 4 weeks to find out for me.
We really need a tally up on boys and girls would be fun to know, but as long as all the babies are healthy!

Glooorb · 18/05/2020 19:47

@1990shopefulftm I had a sharp pain yesterday too, when I stood up too quickly, I think? It was a bit of a pain that got me bending over. But after that sharp pain, no more, but throughout the day I got like aches and pills in my tummy and groin area. Do we still get round ligament pains at this stage?

Glooorb · 18/05/2020 19:48

@FirstSurprise001 phew glad that everything is ok after your fall and congratulations on having a baby boy!

1990shopefulftm · 18/05/2020 20:20

@Glooorb I think for me it was staying in the same position. Apparently round ligament pain can still carry on in the 2nd trimester when I researched it yesterday.
