@Flora20 My parents were very proactive in finding out what was wrong with me, so I got lucky at got diagnosed at 10 but I had to explain myself to a lot of teachers who weren't as informed as yourself. There's a good chance that baby will have it like me but I don't worry about it as I ll know what to do.
If it lasts a couple of years then I could try to find the money to spend more on one, of course we don't know how things will go with this baby but we d love a second one so if it's a great carrier then we ll keep it for years.

justtb · 09/05/2020 09:39

@mc3209 we are going to have a list of 'selfish requests' of things we'd like to do after baby is born and one of mine is to go to a concert in London (it's meant to be in July but certain it will be postponed). My other one is to have a full afternoon to clean the house, have a bath and wash my hair😂 I'm very House proud.

@60spony I think he's more worried that he won't be able to afford it as I would stay here with baby anyway.. active holidays are not my thing haha

Clalou83 · 09/05/2020 18:42

Hi alittle graphic but I'm 15 week feel extremely shattered and feeling twinges deep in the vaginal wall and alittle sickly. Anyone felt or had the same or similar.

Clalou83 · 09/05/2020 18:45

Hoping it maybe due to yesterday being along day as we had a social distanced street party. So was out all day, no nap had headache from yesterday eve till noon today. I've literally chilled all day. The twinges are not constant.

Mc3209 · 09/05/2020 18:46

@Clalou83 Same. Have those twinges daily, nausea is back but not as bad as it was during the 1st trimester and I've slept through the past 2 days. I am assuming it's some hormonal wave or baby's growth spurt.

Wow I need to check this more often - 3rd thread!

@Clalou83 I had those twinges with my first baby.

I'm 15+5 today - had two spells of bleeding over the past 3 weeks but both times baby has been fine. Has anybody else experienced this?

Clalou83 · 09/05/2020 20:00

@mamavee Thank you. I know we are all individuals but just knowing you can just ask anything in here at least gives you a little reassurance. We just have to trust in our bodies and think positive.

Not had bleeding.

DressingGown87 · 09/05/2020 21:21

@Clalou83 I’ve had them twinges, spoke to my midwife on Thursday. They said it was ok, and it’s just stretching and stuff.

@mamavee hope your ok!

Doubt I’m going to sleep much tonight, with my scan tomorrow.

WaveStreet · 09/05/2020 21:52

Anyone else finding their changing body shape hard to get used to? I've tried to get dressed in something other than leggings the last few days and i just look fat in everything but not really big enough for maternity clothes yet 😕
Wish my bump would hurry up and look more bump-like although give me a few more weeks and I'll probably be moaning it's too big!
(Sorry for the grumpy post)

Clalou83 · 09/05/2020 22:11

@DressingGown87 cheers lovely x x

@mamavee Take care and keep resting x x

DressingGown87 · 09/05/2020 22:17

@wavestreet Yes! Nothing sits right, or feels comfy. I have maternity leggings which are fine, but it’s more tops I’m struggling with. I’ve popped now a bit though. Trying to do 5k a day, and two workouts, as I had just hit my goal weight, and I don’t like / can’t get use to my changing body. Have you looked for any comfy leggings? And tops?

Mc3209 · 09/05/2020 22:51

My exercise has fallen off the radar in the last few weeks, something I need to fix. Haven't been feeling fantastic last week or so as nausea and exhaustion are sort of back, but need to get on with the program as I don't particularly fancy coming out of the lockdown unrecognisable flab.

OP posts:
Mc3209 · 09/05/2020 22:54

I don't mind the belly, quite looking forward to having a proper bump, it's more the flabby arms and chunky thighs that I am worried about. I've always been toned, and would be gutted if I lose it (I've already mentally kissed goodbye to my four-pack, but I am not willing to concede the rest).

justtb · 09/05/2020 23:12

@clalou83 I got sharp shooting pains, really deep that only lasted a second or two.. haven't had them for a few days though

@mamavee I had pink tinged discharge for a bit this morning.. midwife friend told me not to worry about it

@wavestreet yes I am really struggling. I have a pair of Missguided maternity cycle shorts which I wear daily now, still a big but have the waistband rolled down a couple times.. otherwise I wear dresses, as any normal leggings/trousers make me feel so dyspeptic. I think this is the awkward stage, isn't it?

justtb · 09/05/2020 23:14

Is anyone noticing that from the side they have a little bump, from the front it just looks maybe a little rounder but not much different apart from the belly button? Mine looks deeper and more open maybe. Or has lockdown actually driven me mad?!

Clalou83 · 10/05/2020 05:55

To allSmile I think anything pain wise, is everything just tightening and getting ready to move up into the belly isn't it, it doesn't stop it being worrying though, but especially for us 1st timers everything's new.
I guess even for experience mums it can be different each time.
I am very thankful of the time and rest we have been given, I know the circumstances are very sad but ya have to take the positives.
I did start pregnancy yoga online of corse, yesterday that was lovely, very gentle.
Depends what ya wear or eaten, it's constantly up and down mine, I know my friend said one day she just seemed to wake up and had a permanent bump.Grin

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 10/05/2020 08:29

Mine is massive @justtb though I'm putting this down to it being my second child so things are stretching out quicker!

How is everyone feeling in general? I have barely any symptoms and feel pretty normal at this point. Had some really faint flutters in my tummy last night but then they do say 2nd pregnancy women can sometimes feel things a bit earlier.

Glooorb · 10/05/2020 08:58

@justtb yes! I look down at my tummy and just think I don't look that difference - maybe just a food baby. Then I go to the full length mirror and turn to the side and boom - yep that looks like an actual baby bump!! I don't really understand why looking down vs to the side looks so different to me.

Glooorb · 10/05/2020 09:01

I do find my bump size seems to change - in the morning I look less pregnant.

And I have been getting some pain / aches / twinges...

Sometimes I feel quite normal - back to before-pregnancy feeling and I feel a bit anxious. I don't really feel any flutters (this is my 1st) and so I worry that something has gone wrong.

I have a growth scan privately on Tuesday so hopefully that will give me some reassurance.

BS9790 · 10/05/2020 09:21

I have no bump at all, I've got fatter round the middle but it's not bump!
As the day goes on, I'm still suffering with bloating so by evening I look like a I have a great bump.... But unfortunately it's not a baby bump 😂😂

Can't wait for it to appear, however I'm 5ft10 with a uterus which tilts to my back, so I'm guessing I won't show for quite a long time x

DressingGown87 · 10/05/2020 09:35

I feel huge! I was a size 8 and only 5ft2, now there is this bump to the front! So it’s pops out beyond my boobs now! And they say I’m going to have a small baby! Suppose my scan this morning is going to give me some idea.

Feel a few flutters but don’t know if that’s wind! 😂 other than that I’m feeling ok, apart from the waking up early and tiredness.

KitKatKit · 10/05/2020 09:45

@DressingGown87 Aaaah your bump is so cute!

@BS9790 Mine just looks like I ate too many pies Grin but I think that's because I carried more weight around my middle pre pregnancy anyway so it's having a harder time busting out!

@Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt I have peaks and troughs. On Friday I got a sudden burst of energy to declutter, so I spent 6 hours doing that. I then spent all of yesterday on the sofa feeling like absolute crap! Lethargic, headachey and STARVING. OMG the hunger! It's like it appeared out of nowhere Grin I have the occasional day where I feel normal and not even pregnant, but I'm still suffering from headaches every week, so that's a fun thing to contend with.

Like @Clalou83 said, I'm trying to thank my lucky stars I'm going through this whilst not having to make excuses for not seeing people and not having to do my mega commute into work. Silver linings!

1990shopefulftm · 10/05/2020 10:40

@DressingGown87 that's a lovely bump picture :) I'm 5'5 and was a size 8 as well so my bump is about level with my boobs now but i have gone from a 32d to 34d already. Hope your scan goes well today:)

I m finding it tricky to get comfortable with my pregnancy wedge at night but i think it's helping a bit. I'm achy a lot but so grateful that the tiredness is a bit better sometimes.

it's DH's birthday on Friday so I've ordered a from bump birthday card for him. My dad died almost 14.5 years ago so it's the first time in that amount of time I've ordered a card with dad on it .
I've been occasionally getting hormonal when i feel a bit of grief for dad and my grandparents and the others I've lost not getting to meet the baby, but being able to buy things that have dad on them again is a nice feeling.

Sls668 · 10/05/2020 10:56

@BS9790 that’s like me! I just look a bit chunkier than before! I keep seeing all these cute little bumps and getting bump envy!

Is anyone else rashy? I’ve had dry itchy skin on my legs literally since the second of conception pretty much Shock. Now I’ve got a rash on my chest and inside of my arms. It looks like a heat rash which would make sense as it’s been warm but we’re up North so it’s not been that hot and I never usually get heat rash in the UK
