Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

Please can I join you all too?! I just got my bfp. First month trying for dc3 so in absolute shock! My last ‘period’ was 28th Aug although this was only a light bleed after stopping the pill a couple of weeks before. I used opks and got a positive on 12th Sept so think I’m probably only 10 or 11 dpo?

St3phj · 23/09/2019 19:29

@mamapeas yes it took a long time to heal properly hence my worries. But fingers crossed all is ok!!

Think my due date is 1st June :)

Anny27 · 23/09/2019 19:35

@TwinkleStars15 sorry you are feeljng anxious :( i think a bad back is a common sign or pregnancy so its probably jusy that :)

My last periof was 27th august but i ovulated on cd13 so technically i am 4 weeks and 1 day

Anny27 · 23/09/2019 19:36

Welcome and congrats @St3phj and @Justinkase :) xx

Just a bump for the newcomers in case anyone's interested, we've got a Facebook group here:

I got my BFP today! Trying hard not to get too excited though as I have a history of mc and turn 39 in a couple of months. Fell on our first month of trying (which was a pleasant surprise as we were expecting it to take a while).

It will be my fiancé's first child. I have two sons from my first marriage age 9 and 12. Obviously we're not going to tell them until we get to at least 12 weeks. Bit worried how they'll take it!!!

Wishing you all much luck and congrats x

MamaPeas · 24/09/2019 07:51

Congratulations on you BFP @RainMinusBow fingers and toes crossed everything goes well for you. I'll turn 39 too before the end of this pregnancy, all going well.

TwinkleStars15 · 24/09/2019 08:30

Congratulations @RainMinusBow Flowers

How is everyone else doing? I’ve booked an 8 week scan for 19th October. Haven’t booked in with the midwife yet though as I need to change surgeries (we moved over a year ago but I like the GP surgery we were at but can’t really hide it anymore!) The surgery where we’ve moved to hasn’t got a great reputation but I’ll just have to bite the bullet and hope it’s okay!

Not really got any symptoms at the moment, which is making me a little anxious..

MamaPeas · 24/09/2019 09:59

How far is the old surgery @TwinkleStars15, I moved last year, I have changed my address but not moved Doctors. They might be a bit funny but 🤷🏼‍♀️

LoveRainbow02 · 24/09/2019 11:43

Congratulations to all the newcomers on their BFP's. Hope you are all doing ok!

@TwinkleStar15 I've taken your advice and booked a scan for when I'll be 7 and a half weeks rather than the 6 weeks. Hope the next couple of weeks go in quick.

Also when would you tell your employer? I am in the process of my contract going permanent but a decision hasn't been made yet. I was on a 6 month contract which then finished and got extended until the end of the year. Obv I want to sign my contract before I tell my work but wont they see that as sneaky when I sign then blurt out oh by the way I am pregnant lol!

TwinkleStars15 · 24/09/2019 13:43

@LoveRainbow02 you don’t need to tell your employer until 25 weeks. If you do before then that’s completely your choice. I will probably tell mine after my 12 week scan.

I did another Clear Blue digi just now as I had one spare, and it stills says 1-2. I shouldn’t have done it because now I’m worried Sad

Anny27 · 24/09/2019 13:55

@Twinklestars15 ahh i wouldn't worry lovely, technically you are 2 weeks so perhaps take another one in a week if you are worried?

LoveRainbow02 · 24/09/2019 14:01

@TwinkleStars15 - I think I will hang off until I can get my contract signed and then tell my boss. I wont be the first woman to protect herself to keep her job lol. Your urine is probably diluted so if you were going to test I'd say still do it first thing but I woukdnt worry about your result. Positive is a positive and you wont do yourself any favours if you worry yourself silly. Easier said than done I know but try remain positive.

TwinkleStars15 · 24/09/2019 14:27

So 10 minutes after I posted, I got a call from the local Early Pregnancy Unit saying they received a referral from my GP and because I need Clexane throughout pregnancy I have an appointment with them next Friday for a 6 week scan Smile Didn’t expect that! I am a bit confused though as I already got my prescription for Clexane and started taking my daily injection the day I found out. She seemed to think she was scanning me next week and the prescribing me it then...I didn’t want to set her straight too much in case she cancelled the appointment! There’s no way I’m stopping taking it til next week as I had my last DVT when I was only 4 weeks, and not being on Clexane increases the risk of miscarriage! Pleased about the early scan though.

Hey1256 · 24/09/2019 15:14

Congrats my due date is the same as yours 1st June according to calculators online!!

I simply cannot bloody wait!!

Lilxcli · 24/09/2019 16:43

Hi All - got my 1st ever BFP Fri with CBD confirmation on Sat after a year of trying. Feeling very anxious as AF was only due today but expect it's just like this until 12 weeks! DD somewhere between 31st May & 3rd June...the calculators don't like irregular cycles :)

MamaPeas · 24/09/2019 17:11

Oooo that's exciting news @TwinkleStars15! Scan next Friday and then you are half way to 12 weeks!

Congrats as well @Hey1256 & @Lilxcli I love hearing about all these BFP's and due dates! How are the newcomers doing? Any symptoms yet?

Lilxcli · 24/09/2019 17:31

Thanks @MamaPeas! Only symptoms so far have been serious bloating and constipation (sorry for the TMI!) Occasional twinges and cramps but secretly wishing for more symptoms for reassurance and to actually 'feel' pregnant! ...oh also headaches from caffeine withdrawal Grin

Also @LoveRainbow02 completely understand your predicament, I'm currently in the midst of negotiations for a new job with a new company...not sure how to deal with that sitiation just yet (but still want the job!)

LoveRainbow02 · 24/09/2019 17:47

@Lilxcli it's a tough situation to be in isnt it. Like yourself I still really want to continue in my job but feel terrible with the way I need to hide my pregnancy until I put pen to paper. By the time I'm due to tell them I'll have been with the company 10 months ago really hoping all turns out well.

I have just used my leftover frer and wow! The test line seems to have sucked all the colour from the control line lol!

RainMinusBow · 24/09/2019 18:08

Aw thanks for welcoming me ❤ I suspected I was pregnant for quite a few days now as I felt a bit "off", very tired, a bit low blood-sugary between meals and constipated!! Took a cheapie test Saturday which was negative but was convinced I was pg! Took another one yesterday and definitely a positive.

No sore boobs really yet which I had with my last two pregnancies but only just missed my period.

MamaPeas · 24/09/2019 18:21

I have to admit @Lilxcli I've yet to cut down the caffeine 🙊, I'm going with embryos still in the yolk sac so it's fine. 😁 I'll cut down to 1/2 cups of tea next week once it feels more real. I can't deal with a toddler and no caffeine. Fortunately I only drink tea, unfortunately I think decaf tea tastes like arse. 😂

Lilxcli · 24/09/2019 18:29

@LoveRainbow02 yeah really tough! Slowly trying to get my head around juggling a career and motherhood... but then that's probably why they say there is never a good time!

@MamaPeas I don't blame you at all...I'd weaned myself down to 1 a day whilst trying and have gone cold turkey last few days. My morning decaf coffee might taste the same but certainly doesn't wake me up!

RainMinusBow · 24/09/2019 19:28

I hear you, ladies! I work ft as a primary SEN support and already have two boys (9 and 12) from my first marriage. My biggest worry is how we're going to manage financially!

Anny27 · 24/09/2019 19:35

Ahh careers are so difficult. I just started a new position (same company) and already dreading telling my new manager :s

BexCinnamon · 24/09/2019 19:53

Hi guys! Thanks @MamaPeas for directing me here Smile I got my BFP on Sunday morning and am just about coming to terms with it! Excited beyond belief BUT also so nervous that something bad will happen. AF was due today and have kept getting up to go to the toilet to check that she hasn't arrived!
I've been doing the cheapie tests from Amazon consistently every morning but can't see them getting dramatically darker which scares me. Confused I think I am around 12DPO today but can't be 100% as I didn't get a positive on an OPK. Just have to sit tight and wait I guess 😭
Symptoms so far: a little constipation, TIREDNESS omg, a bit of insomnia, some twinges/cramps but not too badly. Just generally have a tired and achey feeling about me.
How do you all deal with the anxiety? I am SO excited but feel like I am jinxing it. Have told OH but nobody else as I'm scared something will go wrong!!
