Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

Welcome everyone!

What are all your symptoms? I just feel all indigestiony (that’s so not a word!) and a bit of tummy ache...

MamaPeas · 21/09/2019 19:53

Congrats to you @mellmumma. How old is DC1? I'm expecting my #2 as well.

@TwinkleStars15 mostly clumsiness. I can't tell you the number of things over broken or almost broken in the last two day, plus almost cutting my thumb off. I had this last time too for the first few weeks.

LoveRainbow02 · 21/09/2019 20:48

@TwinkleStars18 I have no symptoms yet but I didn't have any with DC1 either. Only thing that made me test with dc1 and this pregnancy is that I had a very vivid dream I was pregnant before I found out with DC1 and the same dream occurred this time lol. Very strange but I just knew I was pregnant before I even tested!

Kittypillar · 21/09/2019 21:02

@TwinkleStars15 this might be TMI (sorry!) but, symptom wise, whenever I've been pregnant I've always had thrush for a few days Blush it's happened every damn time! Have never had it at any other point in my life and it's always around 5-6dpo. So I was very suspicious when that happened but it was obviously too early to test then and had to wait!

Today I'm having a few little pinchy type feelings in my tummy. Not painful at all but definitely different!

Really hoping all goes okay, fingers crossed!

Hi, would love to join the FB group! This may be silly and I know it's a closed page but can anyone see we've joined the group?
TIA xx

Anny27 · 21/09/2019 22:02

@TwinkleStars15 my boobs are slightly more full and slight nausea/hunger

and i have what feels like a congested nose and had a nose bleed this morning which i have never had!

MamaPeas · 21/09/2019 22:21

Hey @CoralGrey19, not silly at all. I totally get the worry of accidentally putting your news on Facebook. The group can be found if searched for and then people could see I'm the admin but nothing more unless they joined (and were approved, I've added some questions to hopefully keep it to people we "know" here rather than randos).
I could make it private and non-visible which would be unsearchable but then I either have to invite everyone by email if their email is linked to Facebook or friend and invite them. Which would look a bit odd on my own profile.
I've checked via my husbands account and I couldn't see any reference to it on my profile or anywhere and since I'm the admin it seems pretty secure.
Hope that helps.

mellmumma · 22/09/2019 09:10

thanks @MamaPeas - My son was 3 in July.

Feels like I have forgotten everything even though I have done this before.

Thinking about it I have been really clumsy recently with dropsies, knocking over cups of hot drinks etc so that now makes sense.

Boobs are definitely growing but if anything like last time only the start!
I’ve been looking forward to pregnancy boobs again after earning my flappy dog ears from breastfeeding number one!

What pre natal vitamins are people taking/going to take?

My SIL gave me some of her leftiver pregnacare plus omega 3 tablets and omg they are huuuuge haha

MamaPeas · 22/09/2019 17:10

Currently only folic acid @Anny27 and I suspect it might stay that way! 😱 I should probably take vitamin D at least through the winter and some iron. I'm not very good at remembering to take things. I'll also probably stop taking folic acid between 12-16 weeks because I believe its not needed and there seems to be a suggestion it can increase the likelihood of tongue tie Wichita I'd rather not repeat.

MamaPeas · 22/09/2019 17:10

which not Wichita thanks autocorrect 🤦🏼‍♀️

Anny27 · 22/09/2019 21:11

Oh wow didnt know it was associated with tongue tie if you keep taking it into the second trimester! @MamaPeas

Hows everyone else feeling/doing?

MamaPeas · 23/09/2019 12:33

I'm feeling crappy today, really crampy, achey and a bit nauseous. I had pretty much zero symptoms last time so I'm not sure what is normal and whats not. The crampy, aching pains are worrying me a bit. Anyone else pregnant after a previous c-section? Does that sound like maybe its linked? I know I have a lot of adhesions.

LoveRainbow02 · 23/09/2019 12:44

I'm also feeling rather crampy and achy today. I think that is normal at this early stage. Has anyone had a private scan around 6 weeks in a previous pregnancy? I am considering booking 1 as I've had a m/c in the past and I am scared and anxious all over again but unsure I've I'll even see anything at 6 weeks.

MamaPeas · 23/09/2019 13:00

That makes me feel more confident. DS and I will have to cuddle on the sofa and feel sorry for ourselves this afternoon. He's got a cold poor wee thing.

I can totally see why you'd want one @LoveRainbow02. I've had a private scan before but it was about 11/12 weeks. only because my NHS scan was due to be the week after my brothers came home for the weekend and I wanted to tell them and have a picture.

I think you'd be better waiting until late in week 7, you might not see much but if your dates are correct you should hear a heartbeat. How far along are you now?

LoveRainbow02 · 23/09/2019 13:04

I'm not actually sure how far I am to be honest. I've had a lot going on recently with abnormal smears and having biopsies taken in august. I had a period 23rd august then I had another short bleed for 2 days the first week in septmeber. Found out Tuesday last week I was pregnant and clearblue test changed to 2-3 weeks on saturday.

Hope your little one feels better soon. Horrible for them when they feel unwell.

Anny27 · 23/09/2019 17:56

I definitely feel a lot worse in the mornings, nausea and loss of appetite and then come the evening i am feeling better again.

Took a cheapy test tonight as i was a bit anxious and its a strong second line (stronger than my first test on friday) so that eased my anxiety a bit

Anny27 · 23/09/2019 17:57

@LoveRainbow02 i am considering an early scan but probably 8 weeks as theres more chance of seeing stuff

St3phj · 23/09/2019 18:39

Hi ladies...Congratulations to everyone!! I got my BFP on Friday morning and it’s just starting to sink in...it’s my first and our first cycle of trying to feels weird!

Just wondering if anyone knows if it’s usual to book in with GP at this stage or whether you just self refer to a midwife? I called my gp on Friday and they were trying to not give me an appointment for another 2 weeks which I was surprised by but not sure what is normal!

Any advice much appreciated xxx

TwinkleStars15 · 23/09/2019 18:44

@LoveRainbow02 my last period was 24th August and I’m 4 weeks and 2 days, if that helps?

I have booked an early reassurance scan for 8 weeks, they said anything from 7 weeks but 8 is more reliable for dating, seeing heartbeat etc. Although I had an 8 week scan during my last pregnancy and still had a mmc at 10/11 weeks Sad

@MamaPeas I’m also achy and some cramps too, which I also worry about. I’m being thankful for any symptoms at the moment, even the worst ones as with my mmc all my symptoms disappeared around 9 weeks and I just knew something was wrong. These are positive signs Smile

@Anny27 I also took another cheaper yesterday and it was a it darker but not my much Confused I bought a 2 pack of Clear Blue digi and I’m going to take the other one soon as the first only said 1-2 and I’d like to see 3+. When would everyone else do it? I got the 1-2 on Friday x

MamaPeas · 23/09/2019 18:46

Huge congrats @St3phj!

Last time I saw the GP, this time I self referred. It works differently in different parts of the country but I think you having a booking in appointment at around 9 weeks.

St3phj · 23/09/2019 18:52

Thanks @MamaPeas.

I had a ruptured appendix last year so really worried I could be eptopic and the receptionist wasn’t interested in helping me! Managed to get one in the end but felt as though I was definitely forcing it which I was surprised about as most things online say to book with gp straight away! Anyway all booked in now :)

MamaPeas · 23/09/2019 19:01

I'm so sorry about you mmc @TwinkleStars15, symptoms are reassuring as is knowing other people are having the same ones! Exactly why I find it so useful having others to talk to who are in the same boat.

MamaPeas · 23/09/2019 19:03

Eesh, burst appendix is not fun @St3phj, did it take long to heal? Glad you got an appointment sorted, good for you standing your ground. Have you worked out your due date yet?

LoveRainbow02 · 23/09/2019 19:03

@TwinkleStars15 I am as far on as you after all. My last period was the 24th august, not the 23rd like I thought. I had a small bleed after this though on the 7th and 8th September so unsure what that could have been.

I got 1-2 weeks on a digital last Thursday and 2-3 weeks on saturday. Feel really anxious as I'm having slight back ache and this is how my last m/c started so I'm freaking out a little. Private scan centre next to me does early scans from 6 weeks+ so think I may hang off till around 7weeks
