Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@Notnowokay I guess also as their body is not showing or feeling the changes it's inevitable going to feel real for the woman generally speaking much sooner so yes I agree.

Also, I've been googling everything to do with kids for the last five years. He hasn't googled a single thing so has no idea what to expect I suppose!

Fuzzbuzz86 · 25/09/2019 15:04

Hi Ladies, hope it's OK to join.

I had bfp on Saturday, told OH on Sunday. Don't think it has quite sunk in for either of us yet 😮. I think I am 4-5 weeks, so due end of May/beg of June. I have a gp apt booked for next Tues, until then trying not to tell anyone so its nice to have people in the same boat!

Lilxcli · 25/09/2019 16:06

Congratulations @FuzzBuzz86! It's hard to get your head around even though it's exactly what you've been hoping for! Don't know how you are all managing to get appointments. My GP receptionist just referred me to an online midwife self referral form and am waiting for them to call to book my 8 week appointment Hmm

Hey1256 · 25/09/2019 16:37

@Lilxcli that's exactly what my doctor said!!! Just wait for the midwife to call Hmm

And still no call!

Lilxcli · 25/09/2019 16:50

@Hey1256 so annoying isn't it! At least I got an email to say they received my form today... I think it depends on your area and GP surgery Hmm

Hey1256 · 25/09/2019 16:54

@Lilxcli I didn't even get an email lol. My area is totally crap apparently. Hence why I've booked a private scan already as I don't trust them.

Lots of horror stories at my local hospital sadly.

MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 18:49

Congratulations @Fuzzbuzz86, it's definitely still sinking in here.

I self referred too, no confirmation, nothing yet! It's making more and more tempted to book an early scan. Mind you I'll probably look at the prices and change my mind.

Fuzzbuzz86 · 25/09/2019 18:56

@lilxcli Thanks 😊, it's our first pregnancy so no clue what I should be doing lol. I was going to self refer but then thought I should see the gp too?

Also had to tell our H&s rep at work as my job involves manual handling. Everyone else will just think I'm skiving until I announce it haha.

I didn't think I would feel sick this early but the headaches are awful, have come up in spots and my stomach is all over the place 🙄

LoveRainbow02 · 25/09/2019 18:58

When did everyone see their GP or contact a midwife? I self referred last Friday and got my booking in letter today. My appointment is for the 8th of October. Thought it was really fast for an app to come through.

MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 18:59

This is my second @Fuzzbuzz86 and I totally can't remember what I'm supposed to be doing. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ That's why a community like this is so useful.

Fuzzbuzz86 · 25/09/2019 19:03

@MamaPeas the group is great, esp as most of my friends have much older children or none lol.

I may send off the self referral anyway and see what the gp says next week. I'm in London and the hosp I want to go is busy soi hope I don't have to wait too long! X

Anny27 · 25/09/2019 19:03

@LoveRainbow02 my booking appointment is 25th october. I will be nearly 9 weeks. Glad i booked early on as obviously its quite a busy area if my appointment isnt till then!

MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 19:09

I'd def do the self referral then @Fuzzbuzz86, it's a bit anticlimactic but it gets things going.

I think 9 weeks is fairly standard for your first appointment @Anny27, nothing for a while then booking in and scan close together. Then another massive gap. Although I think you have more appointments first time round.

I might look into a private midwife, I've no doubt I'll have to deliver in hospital but I really want to try and have a vaginal birth this time and it'd be good to have someone on my team. Especially given the report in the news today about deliveries after a previous c-section.

Lilxcli · 25/09/2019 19:17

@Fuzzbuzz86 it's my 1st too so with you on not really having a clue! Although my sister is an Obs & Gynae consultant (literally delivers babies for a living & also has 3 kids) so looking forward to getting the inside scoop once I've told her! I wanted a docs appt but they didnt let me just the self referral. Hopefully will hear soon! Although I'm in the sort of area with only 1 hospital option...

Lemonysherbet · 25/09/2019 19:27

Hey ladies

Got my BFP on Friday last week but too scared to join as I had a chemical last month. @Jellybott very similar to you, 31. TTC No1 and it was our 2nd month of trying.

Due 2nd June according to the NHS. Still super wary of getting too excited after last time. It would have been tomorrow I lost it last time so I'm almost reluctant to post this but I want to start enjoying it!

Anny27 · 25/09/2019 19:37

Nice to see that you have joined us @lemonysherbet :D fingers crossed that this one sticks for you 🤞🤞 xx

Lemonysherbet · 25/09/2019 19:44

Hey @anny27 fancy seeing you here 😁 how are you feeling? I'm on holiday so distracted luckily and not overthinking things too much. I do have a frer with me (weirdest packing, tampons and a pregnancy test/vitamins 😂) but might do it Friday morning once I've got past tomorrow.

Anny27 · 25/09/2019 19:50

@lemonysherbet i am feeling good thanks, not having too many symptoms apart from heavier boobs and some cramps. I did an internet cheapy this morning and it was 2 dark lines so hope thats a promissing sign 🤞

Glad you are able to relax on hol :D

MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 20:19

Congratulations on your BFP @Lemonysherbet so lovely to see so many people getting BFP's 💛

Jemstar33 · 25/09/2019 20:24

Hi all hope you don’t mind me joining

I’m 33 next week, been TTC #1 for almost two years. Was put on clomid in June and got pregnant first go but I had a mc at 5 weeks 💔 Second go on clomid and I’m now pregnant again! Due date is 1st June 2020 which is my DP’s 34th birthday ❤️

@Lemonysherbet you gave me the kick to join as I’ve just been watching the group too scared to jinx it! Monday will be the day I lost last time so I know how you’re feeling about tomorrow. Hope everything goes ok.

Last time I called the midwives and was given my appointments over the phone, I’m based in Glasgow. I’ve decided not to call until a week today, just want to get past 5 weeks. I’m also planning to book early scans, I can get two private scans for £80 one at 6 weeks and one at 8 which I think will be worth every penny if I get that far!

@AmyMaria2 how are you, you over the shock now?! I’m not lol.

Good luck everyone xxx

Anny27 · 25/09/2019 20:29

Welcome @jemstar33 hope this is it for you :D

Are you having any symptoms?

I just gagged eating my pasta so safe to say i still have some nausea haha

AmyMaria2 · 25/09/2019 20:29

I've tested morning & evening and still no darker lines, fingers crossed everything will be ok🤞 what's the earliest people have had sickness? I never thought it would be this bad this early! x

Jemstar33 · 25/09/2019 20:35

Thanks @Anny27 I’ve having some twinges and boobs are getting heavier by the day, really gassy and really tired. My lines are darker now than they were at 5 weeks so I’m hoping that means good news.

How are you feeling, are you having continuous nausea?

Are you using the same tests each time @AmyMaria2 FRER gave me the darkest

Jemstar33 · 25/09/2019 20:36

Top one was Friday. Bottom one was this morning

Due June 2020...
MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 20:44

Hi @Jemstar33, congratulations on your bfp, I'm glad you decided to take the plunge.
