Due June 2020...

Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

Morning. Had a bit of light bleeding when I got up this morning, seems to have settled for now. No cramps at all. We're still on holiday, home tomorrow. Hoping things won't escalate before we get back.

Congratulations @claireyloomoo 🌸🎉

@Anny27 I just can't find anything I want to eat, I don't fancy anything then when I do I'll make it and then decide I don't really want it🙄😂

June babies...always the best. Then again I am a June baby Grin. I’m soon to have a November baby, I was absolutely fine earlier on in my pregnancy but in recent weeks I have had some terrible back pain and spent quite a bit of time on crutches! Sad. 35 weeks btw!

Vio112 · 21/10/2019 12:57

I'm really struggling not to tell people! In a few weeks I'm going on a cottage weekend with a hot tub and lots of alcohol. So I guess I'm going to be "taking antibiotics and on my period" 😅

@LittleBigTime call a GP Surgery you're planning to register at and ask them to book you a midwife appointment right away.
I needed to move surgeries from my current to a new one but they agreed to book the MW apt without me registering and I am just going to take them stuff in later. It gets the ball rolling as they will then be able to give you lots of good advice. For now the NHS website is a great source of information for everything.

Jemstar33 · 21/10/2019 13:20

@MissisBee hopefully it’s nothing. I’m the other way, had a few bad cramps this morning but no blood thankfully.

@Anny27 @AmyMaria2 same about food! The only thing I’m enjoying is bread bread and more bread! Anything with flavours is making me feel sick but I want it until I smell it 😂 driving DP crazy, I’m refusing to cook.

@LittleBigTime yes I’d start with the GP. Wouldn’t worry so much about the drinking as long as you stop now

Wibblemonster · 21/10/2019 13:22

Congrats. I'm due 3rd June 😁

Thanks @Jemstar33 hope your cramps are just everything making lots of room for the babies.

NotMaryWhitehouse · 21/10/2019 14:10

@LittleBigTime in answer to your questions: 'no' and 'yes'!

It's going to be very very difficult keeping it a secret from my parents! 😬

I am also getting impatient with not telling anyone!
We have told our parents and that’s it but have decided this weekend (9 weeks) we will start to tell selected friends and family. I don’t fully understand why it is always such a secret because if god forbid anything happens I would need their support!

Jemstar33 · 21/10/2019 15:56

@mrsJkk I felt the same so I have told my family and friends. We’re waiting for 12 weeks to tell DPs family. He wants to wait. We lost last time and I did need everyone’s support. I’m 8+1 now

MrsD20 · 21/10/2019 15:57

Hi all, just had an early scan to check the little pumpkin is in the correct place and check there is only 1 😊 I'm a bit deflated because he said he thinks I'm a little earlier than 6+1, maybe more like 5+5 as thinks I ovulated late but it's all there where it's supposed to be so I'm chuffed 🥰

Starting Ciclogest today to give it that extra boost and I just pray it helps 🙏🏻
Happy Monday all 🙂🌈 xx

RPPs · 21/10/2019 15:58

Happy Monday All

@MrsD20 how did your scan go? Ive everything crossed for you.

Is anyone else feeling uncredibly tired. Luckily I work from home so I vould go back to bed today but I feel like Ive been knocked sideways. Can't keep my head up.
Also eating every few hours.

6+4

MrsD20 · 21/10/2019 16:36

Hey @RPPs

I think it went ok 😐 I'm a little underwhelmed as they didn't mention a heartbeat and suggested I am a few days behind 6+1 as I had previously thought but I'm hoping all will be well! Thank you for your message 😊

Oh the tiredness is a bastard isn't it! Hope you are ok otherwise! My nausea started yesterday 🤢 🌈 xx

RPPs · 21/10/2019 16:54

@MrsD20 its sounds like you are a couple of days behind me. The lady doing my scan did warn that there may nog be a heart beat at this stage. We did see one luckily because after the last miss we were so worried. Did they suggest you go back in a few weeks?

Nausea is horrid and tireness with insomnia and eating all the bad stuff. Least the wind has subsided.

RainMinusBow · 21/10/2019 17:28

@LittleBigTime My first mw appt is not until 10+4 and my dating scan is not until 12 weeks. However, my advice would be to see your GP to complete a form as then they will get your first scan booked in. My scan appt came through pretty quickly. I'm 39 (third child) with a history of recurrent mc so I'm also terrified. Wishing you all the best x

@MrsD20 That’s great! Will you go back in a few weeks or wait till your ‘official one’ I can imagine the relief.

@RainMinusBow @littlebigtime my midwife appointment is 10+2 and dating scan 12+5, I thought both would be earlier. @littlebigtime I think just watching what you’re eating, no smoking/drinking and taking vitamins is all you need to do. I didn’t get any info either, been googling everything!!

Missgemini · 21/10/2019 21:05

Has anyone else noticed a massive change in their sense of taste?
Some things I used to love now taste disgusting. I now like some random new foods I wasn't so keen on before.
As someone else mentioned, I've essentially stopped cooking now. My DH is is doing all the cooking and cleaning and I just sit on the sofa watching TV and giving instructions. He loves it really! Haha

MrsD20 · 21/10/2019 22:14

Thank you @Jemstar33 I was a little worried but after looking at numerous scans at 5 or 6 weeks, I feel much better 🙈 I have another one booked in for 3 weeks time at the EPU because they are monitoring growth, as I'm taking Cyclogest to boost my progesterone.

Thanks for the advice @RPPs 😘🌈 xx

MsMiaWallace · 21/10/2019 22:32

Is anyone else really worried that something will go wrong?
