Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@mrssunshinexxx my early scan was internal at 6 weeks x

thosethreewords · 19/10/2019 08:38

@MsChatterbox haha what are we like! I think I remember you from a TTC board (apologies if not! I was on them intermittently around dec-April)
@MsMiaWallace congratulations! I'm tentative everything at the moment, so I understand! Hope everything goes smoothly for you!

mrssunshinexxx · 19/10/2019 08:46

@AmyMaria2 I wonder if they can do them externally that early I don't fancy an internal one (well aware all the stuff that will go on later in pregnancy )

MsChatterbox · 19/10/2019 08:47

@thosethreewords no that wasn't me but username Mrs chatterbox and miss chatterbox was already taken so possibly was one of those lol!!

thosethreewords · 19/10/2019 08:51

@mrssunshinexxx internal Scans really aren't as bad as you think and they won't be able to do one another way that early because they won't get good enough views of your pelvis and baby.

@MsChatterbox that explains it 😀

AmyMaria2 · 19/10/2019 08:57

@mrssunshinexxx I was the same, hate internals but it was fine and wouldn't of been able to see the heartbeat or baby if it was external they can only see the sac like that xx

MsMiaWallace · 19/10/2019 09:17

Thanks guys!
I've got 2 boys. 7 & 5.

I just feel really nervous. It feels like the first time. Totally starting over.

mrssunshinexxx · 19/10/2019 09:19

@thosethreewords & @AmyMaria2 hmm I know I'm sure it wouldn't be but I think In that case I'll just wait until 12 week scan there will be more to see then too xx

RainMinusBow · 19/10/2019 09:32

@MsMiaWallace I know how you feel...I also have two boys-mine are 9 and 11!!! Hopefully it will all come back to us (although it really is the first time for my fiancé) Smile

AmyMaria2 · 19/10/2019 10:17

@mrssunshinexxx aw I wouldn't wait just because it's an internal, you see the heartbeat and the baby in the sac when they do an internal. It's amazing x

mrssunshinexxx · 19/10/2019 10:54

@AmyMaria2 just feel like I would be really tense and Isit uncomfortable? X

MissisBee · 19/10/2019 11:01

Internal scan definitely not as uncomfortable as a smear (although the only one I've had was after a could fitting, not during pregnancy). The probe is quite narrow. I had an early scan at 7-8 weeks with my first, and they were able to do it externally, but I'd lost a lot of weight with nausea, so I think that helped the view

MissisBee · 19/10/2019 11:01

*coil fitting, that should say

thosethreewords · 19/10/2019 12:42

@mrssunshinexxx I've had coils and smears and swans and I would say the internal ultrasound was the least uncomfortable by far. In fact, it wasn't even uncomfortable! What's even better is that there's not a bloody light shining at your bits to highlight the area 😂 so it feels very discreet

AmyMaria2 · 19/10/2019 12:55

@mrssunshinexxx they're not that bad at all, they don't have to use the clamp thing like with a smear they just put the probe straight in, with jelly. I really am a wimp with everything like that and I don't mind them at all x

Larrydavid · 19/10/2019 14:46

Hey guys, I've been lurking a bit on here. I'm still worried the little bean will fall out but I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and am happy it's got this far. The next six weeks are going to be long! I think we're going to book a scan in a week or two. Anyone else weirdly emotional? I never cry and yet have cried so much over the last week. No real reason for any of it!

@mrssunshinexxx I had an internal scan a few months ago (to check a fibroid), it didn't even feel uncomfortable - not like a smear.

@MsMiaWallace totally understand your nerves!

@Vio112 just read your post! Im so emotional, it's ridiculous!

@RPPs That heartbeat must have been amazing! I'm so tempted to book a scan in soon but am going to try and wait another week I think - just in case I've got any dates wrong!

mrssunshinexxx · 19/10/2019 14:59

Thanks every one @Larrydavid @AmyMaria2 @thosethreewords might change my mind will see how it goes x

Chez13 · 19/10/2019 19:17

Hey girls , anyone feeling really ill ? I have zero energy and i mean zero energy , crying over silly things , have no appetite worst pregnancy by far baby #3 , 7weeks on monday 😩

sao81 · 19/10/2019 19:24

@Chez13 I've been really bad the past 2 days, the worst I've been in both pregnancies. Sleeping for hours during the day, going dizzy, smells.making me bork constant, loads of excess saliva and vomitimg today when in MILs was the icing on the cake. Feel like I'm never going to feel normal again 😥

ladyk03 · 19/10/2019 19:37

Has anyone else got MAJORLY sore boobs? I'm about 5/6 weeks. This will be my second child (fingers crossed everything goes okay, we had a miscarriage beginning of last month).... but my boobs are on fire and I don't remember them being this sore with my first

Xx

Lemonysherbet · 19/10/2019 19:43

So I had a scan today. I'm 7 weeks 5 days! Even got to hear little blobs heartbeat. It was amazing! I had to have an internal one as I didn't drink enough water, but it wasn't bad at all.

MsBandBun · 19/10/2019 19:48

@Chez13 I am the same!

At the moment it all just feels like one long horrible hangover!

mrssunshinexxx · 19/10/2019 19:48

@Lemonysherbet so pleased everything is going well when you booked in did they tell you it would be external or internal ? X

Lemonysherbet · 19/10/2019 19:55

Thank you :) she tried external, could see the heartbeat but couldn't check my ovaries etc. I'm so constipated she couldn't even see my left ovary internally 😆

Lemonysherbet · 19/10/2019 19:56

She was very reassuring though and asked if I was ok with internal after trying external. I was really worried about it before but it was honestly completely fine
