@mrsnotnice I am very snuggly with my dd too. I think it's the fact that I know she is going to feel a bit neglected once baby appears so want to make sure she knows how much she is loved.

@gkeal3 yeah, I was the same as you. At 36 weeks I had in my head that baby could be here in 11 days due to last time. I'm still sat here at 38+4 (1 week longer than when i gave birth to dd) and nothing, not a sign, not a symptom, nothing. Im predicting I'll be 41 weeks with this one.

We've taken dd to her swimming lesson this morning and then I took her to the library to get some new books out. She loves the Little People, Big Dreams series, so we got David Bowie and Marie Curie. Dh came home with Anne Frank on the last trip which was a tricky read.

Well I jinxed myself and our little girl made her swift arrival this evening (it’s Saturday 21 at nearly 8:30pm for me). Another super quick labor and she’s two weeks early!

Figuringitout · 21/09/2019 11:37

Wow @SamStephens - huge congratulations! Enjoy the snuggly newborn days of getting to know each other!

melissa1215 · 21/09/2019 11:56

I'm having my little one on October 3rd vi c-section, currently so uncomfortable, not sleeping and huge. Also at the stage where anything DH does is making me annoyed :(

CarysRed · 21/09/2019 12:06

Congratulations @SamStephens

HJWT · 21/09/2019 12:47

@SamStephens congratulations! I hope you managed to get things ready in time.

I have a feeling I'm going to be getting jealous of all these baby's arriving while mine refuses to budge!

SRK16 · 21/09/2019 13:40

Congratulations @SamStephens !!

I’m having a lazy day after being in so much discomfort yesterday. Lying in the garden in the sun trying to enjoy my last solo Saturday!

Em39ma · 21/09/2019 13:40

@SamStephens congratulations. Be nice if they all come as easily as yours.

HJWT · 21/09/2019 13:58

@SamStephens oh wow! That's amazing news!! Congratulations ThanksThanks

I feel like Mrs Hinch today I'm feeling super organised and doing all the last bits of cleaning/sorting out. I love a fresh, clean house. DP is still decorating in the nursery so I'll leave him to it. Cars been cleaned this morning!
Gonna go shopping later for hospital bag snacks and I'll make sure to get some lucozade and definitely some sweets and chocolate. Going to charge my iPad as-well and download some Netflix films and series to watch in the hospital.

gkeal3 · 21/09/2019 14:09

@SamStephens huge congratulations! 💗

Must admit I'm a bit jel, I'm so so excited to have Our baby here.

@HJWT which chair did you get from Ikea? I got the strandmon the other day and it's my new fav place to sit! So comfy

SamStephens · 21/09/2019 14:34

Thank you lovelies!

I was certainly not prepared lol had to rush a bag together mid-contractions but I muddled my way through it in the end.

Hour long labour - I don’t know how people endure it for hours or days on end to be honest - we’d normally get discharged within 6hrs but because it’s the evening and I tested positive for strep b bacteria, little miss didn’t get the time to absorb any antibiotics herself so we’ll be here for the next 24-48 hrs most likely.

Poor hubby missed it as he had to take care of the two older kids for dinner/bath/bed so he and the kids will come meet her tomorrow.

Otherwise she’s 2635 grams, 43cm long and 32cm head. She’s on the shorter side of my other babies and what the ultrasound measured so we’ll see what that means but I think she’ll grow into it, my other two are leggy little fiends and my husband is 6’5” lol

I’m sore (obviously) and tired but think my body is still in a bit of shock. Waiting to get transferred to a room on the ward so I can finally get some sleep!

What. A. Day!

Pic attached (hopefully it works)

newbabyyy2019 · 21/09/2019 16:11

@SamStephens she's so cute!! Making me very excited about my little ones arrival x

Maryrobinson81 · 21/09/2019 21:53

Aw congratulations @SamStephens!
I’ve felt anxious and stressed all day today about being completely unprepared. And I’ve had a dull cramp all day and just feel yuck, which has made me more anxious, hoping I feel different in the morning, and can get in with sorting things out and packing hospital bags etc, don’t even have everything I need to put in it yet, I will be 37 weeks on Monday. Don’t remember feeling like this with my other children!

Em39ma · 21/09/2019 22:17

I’m having a space cadet day. Started supper, walked away and burnt it.
Went to bring the washing, but instead move all the dogs toys.
I’m either losing it or baby brain has really kicked in.
Going to try and sleep, who am I kidding, I give 3 hours.

MrsNotNice · 22/09/2019 03:11

I’m really having odd sleep tonight waking up for no reason

CarysRed · 22/09/2019 03:28

I’m barely getting any sleep. My acid reflux is terrible and I have really bad back cramps

Em39ma · 22/09/2019 03:38

I’m up too. Just awake again. Hips a little sore, but know where need as bad as it has been.
