Should of been haven’t not have.🤦‍♀️

Slinkyreptile · 06/10/2019 23:01

@cattaxi thank you for the recommendation, I only started using a cream today but if they don’t start to shrink soon I will defo try them.

@Frizzy1986 took laxatives for the first time tonight, hoping it will make things move tomorrow. However compared to what we’ve just been through a little bit of constipation is a walk in the park!

SC0508 · 06/10/2019 23:02

@Em39ma yeah trying to get up and down is a struggle, been getting OH to help me off sofa 😂 don't know what's more sore tonight the groin pain or these fanny daggers 😂 seems baby is having a wild time tonight, hoping I can atleast get some sleep tonight!

YorkshireIndie · 07/10/2019 00:28

Here is a question - is it better to be doing something if you can't sleep or to stay in bed? Second night of being wide awake. So far I have emptied the dishwasher and refilled it and currently folding the laundry from the tumble dryer

MrsNotNice · 07/10/2019 00:58

cattaxi how far along are you with the boxes?? I’m still progressing slowly! had Guests today so only managed to make some padsickles and sort through some clothing. It seems like a never ending to do list. But I feel like ticking them all off might make me feel a bit in control as I feel otherwise overwhelmed with anxiety/thoughts!

YorkshireIndie haven’t been able to sleep so made myself some padisckles to freeze while watching a movie. I really should get off the screen though as I need that bit of sleep. I have so much to finish tomorrow!!

Slinkyreptile oh gosh, grapes at your bottom!!🍇 Shock what hemorrhoid cream were you recommended? And which laxatives?? I only ask because of breastfeeding.

Em39ma wishing you all the luck tomorrow!! How exciting for u. I have a question? Is a tilted cervix the same as a titled uterus? My uterus was titled and having the midwife measure my dilation was hell as she seemed to struggle and when I told her I have an inverted/tilted uterus she realised. I’m guessing mine isn’t severe though as I had a natural delivery first time round. Good luck tomorrow ! Plz post updates and make us happy when you feel up for it!

cattaxi I hadn’t realised you wanted baby to stay put a bit longer!

Fizzy trying to do pelvic floors as at the moment I have definite urine leakage, but can seem to hold most of if until I sit in the toilet. don’t worry I had exact experience when I tore first time. I was unable to control the stream once on the toilet but I regained strength there when I recovered within some muscle tone. Few months I would say but noticeable after few weeks.

Slinkyreptile · 07/10/2019 02:45

@YorkshireIndie unfortunately I don’t think there’s any right or wrong answer to this. Maybe doing a couple of odd jobs like you have done and then try again. Once baby is here it gets so much easier to be able to nod off, sorry not much help for now

@MrsNotNice I am formula feeding so don’t need to worry about meds etc. Checked leaflets of what I’ve used and both say to ask your gp if you are breastfeeding. Just using Tesco own brand haemorrhoid cream and took galpharm constipation relief tablet. If it is safe for breastfeeding then the laxative is amazing, I took it only a couple of hours ago and have already managed to have a clearout without any pain... such a relief!

Frizzy1986 · 07/10/2019 05:05

@mrsnotnice I think I remember the same from my 3b last time, but it's been almost 6 years so it's a little muddled.
I've been prescribed lactulose as a laxative after my tear so maybe that's something you can ask a pharmacist about?
I definitely wasn't as nervous for my first one this time and it came on day 3 (last time I think it was day 5 and I was terrified - even though it wasn't bad at all)

SC0508 · 07/10/2019 05:23

Been awake all night with shooting pains and cramping below 😞 wish it was the start of something but seems to be my body likes to tease me 🙁

Really glad DS has school in the morning hoping I can catch up on some sleep when he's there!

HJWT · 07/10/2019 07:13

@MrsNotNice Iv got Lactulose in my hospital bag, I started taking it last time once I was on the ward and never had a problem! Also used it at home as was on some high iron tablets and they did not help!

@Frizzy1986 Sorry you are feeling a bit down! Hopefully your hormones are trying to level out again, at least we all have each other to talk to through the harder days 🥰

@SC0508 sometime I will go to get on the floor to pick up DD's toys and scream out in pain were my pelvis feels like it is going to snap in half! It can't be normal to have a head down in there for over 10 weeks! Thinking of you xx

@YorkshireIndie I usually lay awake staring at the wall! What your doing sounds way more productive 😁

@Slinkyreptile 2 things iv never had are a UTI & piles! I pray I still don't get them at the end of this! Hope they shrink soon 😫 must be painful x that pic is just gorgeous x

@HarryHarry and @Em39ma Good luck for today 💝 I put my hands up to anyone having a C-section, very brave in my opinion! You will do great can't wait to know your babies are here & safe x

I can't believe this time next week we will probably be going in for induction 🤯 I am going to be SOOO emotional this week! I am guessing it will be Monday as I don't think they do planned induction on a weekend?

OP posts:
cattaxi · 07/10/2019 08:11

All the best today @Em39ma & @HarryHarry! Will be thinking of you.

@SC0508 yes to increased pelvic pain in the past week or so. Going from sitting to standing is a slow & painful business.
I’ll also be heading back to bed as soon as ds is at school.

Hope you got some sleep in the end @YorkshireIndie. I find reading helps me drift back off.

@MrsNotNice I haven’t got far with the baskets. A job for this week. But now I’ve tidied & sorted the house over the weekend I can focus on all the smaller jobs.
I’ve a section booked a week today - so hoping baby stays put until then. As much as I’d like to get this over with sooner! I’m pretty pleased today to be counting in days & not weeks now.

Hope everyone has a good Monday. I’ve been sick a lot this morning - pray for me on the walk to school!

HJWT · 07/10/2019 08:56

@cattaxi I really feel for you! I was sick a lot at the end with DD and gagging all the time! But not with this baby everything has been so different, just constantly nauseous 🤢

OP posts:
secretlyhermione · 07/10/2019 10:44

I feel all you ladies with pelvic pain. Also had to support myself going to the toilet today. Baby feels very engaged and is moving around a lot these last few days. Have my 38 week check today so eager to see what they say! I have a few plans this week so happy for baby to stay put until due date but let's see!
Good luck to all those having their sections today :) you'll be with your babies soon, hard not be jealous!!

cattaxi · 07/10/2019 11:26

I’m so over it @HJWT. I’m really nauseous too. And the only thing that helps is eating- so getting very fat. I puked on the way home this morning. Only a little bit & into a hedge, so not too disastrous. Only one more week if it, thank god!

Ju5tAgirlstandinginfrontofaboy · 07/10/2019 12:02

Hello! I've been a bit out of the loop for a while i have been suffering with a stomach bug.
I think this caused me to have the massive confidence crisis which made me beg a consultant for a c section. Now I'm feeling better and starting to eat again.
The consultant said no and encouraged me to have an induction with an early epidural to control my anxiety around the situation.
However he did examine me to see how favourable I was. He found I was 1cm. As I left I had a big bleed which I thought was my waters. I went into triage and they put me on the monitor and I was having regular strong contractions. I was in for a few hours and got to 2cm but then it all stopped. I declined the induction in the end as I wasn't feeling physically up to it since having not eaten for days.
Now back at home waiting to see what happens. It was my due date yesterday.
I'm spooked though becuse my psychic told me I was going to be very overdue with a long labour ending in a section - scary! My first labour was fast though so I can't see why it would be so different?

secretlyhermione · 07/10/2019 13:53

@Ju5tAgirlstandinginfrontofaboy that sounds promising! Hope things get started for you.
They told me at my scan today that uterus has moved down slightly and have dilated just a tiny bit so think this baby is in for the long run!

Figuringitout · 07/10/2019 15:17

Hi everyone, sorry to hear lots of you are struggling in the last few weeks.
Thinking of you @Em39ma and looking forward to hearing your happy news.
I can honestly say that all of the stress of the last few weeks has melted away now Ada is here and the last two (pretty sleepless) nights have been a dream in comparison to my heavily pregnant ones.
Hang on to that thought!!

shouldntbeonhereagain · 07/10/2019 16:03

@Em39ma hope all goes well. Getting stupid about symptom spotting here at 38.3 weeks. Should know what am doing by 4th baby but no clue what’s what ! Thought in sat that things might be starting as had strongish tightenings. Low back ache and just feeling weird since but no real contractions. Midwife appointment is Wednesday and Hoping she will tell me if the head has gone further down. Last ones were 42 weeks/40 plus 5 mad 41 plus 1 so not looking hopeful for early delivery is it?!

YorkshireIndie · 07/10/2019 18:13

How has everyone's day been?

I went for a blood test and stupidly walked at my normal brisk pace down to the surgery and then around town. Went to attend an advertised session at the hospital which did not happen. Currently regretting it especially as I have to cook 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

SC0508 · 07/10/2019 19:09

@Em39ma hope everything went well for you today 😀

Was experiencing very painful pelvic pains all day but seem to be fading away now, couldn't finish my food tonight as every time I took a bite my best was tightening and I would struggle to catch my breathe, never had this before I get really bad acid reflux but never pain in chest when eating 🙁 hoping I can manage to snack on something later.

Hopefully some more babies start to appear soon 😃

HJWT · 07/10/2019 19:28

Anyone else getting sick of peoples comments! I don't remember this with DD, every day a new stranger will say something like "Oooooh when are you due" .... "Oh you look tired" .... "Is the baby coming out soon"

🙄🙄🙄 my favourite is being told I look tired.. yes I know.. thanks!

OP posts:
Frizzy1986 · 07/10/2019 20:13

@SC0508 maybe pelvic pains are your body prepping itself?? I feel for you with chest pains.
I'm getting chest tightening when I try and do much more than resting. It's panicking me a lot. I told the midwife who said to speak to my gp. Obv no appointments are available so best I could get was a nurse on Wednesday.
Orson still looks really jaundice to me so I'm freaking out about that and now FIL has shingles so both him and MIL will be staying away from us for a few weeks and they are the only family nearby for support
The hormone crash is hitting me very hard, with total feelings of failure and also fear that my chest tightening is something serious and something bad is going to happen to me before I've seen the nurse. Lots of tears this end right now.

@Em39ma I hope that everything has gone well today.

@HJWT the constant comments are really disheartening. Try and ignore them and remember that they are usually with goof intentions. And then punch a pillow to feel better.

MrsNotNice · 07/10/2019 20:37

HJWT I have only just announced yesterday to my close friend and siblings the actual due date. I just hate the clock ticking so gave them rough dates before (mid to end of October). Because the only fixed date is the fact I would be induced at 42 weeks and everything else isn’t lol. That’s my logic.

But I decided to finally tell them to get my head around the reality of it because I was too much in my own bubble and needed someone to burst it.

Frizzy1986 I’m really sorry to hear about the hormone crash. I hope you will pull through it. It’s ok to cry it out if it makes you feel better. I hope you have support from DH. I just Realised now that I did indeed have angry outbursts and total tearful days after my first birth. It was unexplainable just crying for small reasons.. and I got insanely angry when I saw a woman holding a baby that looked like mine during a breastfeeding session arranged by the hospital. I was in total rage I had to leave the room.

But thankfully this tapered off within a week or so. And hopefully the same for you.

SC0508 I’m reading everyone’s comments and getting worried because currently at 39+2 weeks and I’m not really experiencing any significant tightening or pain or anything. Just a stomach ripping and discomfort. But absolutely no indication of start or labour. I don’t feel the baby pressure down below. I just am not sure to be honest it seems like I might have a long while to go compared to everyone. Which is a shock to me since my first born was pretty early and my mum had all of us early. I’m now preparing myself for the concept I will need to be induced again Shock, last time it was for having complications during labour and this time probably for being late. I was really hopeful of something natural this time.

But reality is I’m experiencing some type of cognitive dissonance and absolutely in denial that labour is coming soon. I’m using this thread to keep me in focus.. I really hope I don’t panick in labour when it finally sinks in. Hope my counselling session is scheduled ASAP!

HarryHarry · 07/10/2019 22:00

@Em39ma How did it go?

Our baby girl was born just after 8:30 this morning. Everything went perfectly. She is beautiful and we are in love.?

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

SC0508 · 07/10/2019 22:11

@HarryHarry congratulations enjoy all those baby cuddles 🎉 hoping mine isn't far off 😂 think this baby is stubborn like DS and will make me wait till 40weeks 😂

YorkshireIndie · 07/10/2019 22:18

Congratulations @HarryHarry!!
