@Frizzy1986 congratulations. Guess they were proper labour pains then 😂
Glad you are all good.
Well let’s hope mine decides to be that easy tomorrow! I doubt it stubborn girl I’m thinking, and would have know clue where she could possibly get it from 😉
Hoping for decent amount of sleep, who am I kidding not going to happen.
Will keep you update when I can over the next few days.

Ju5tAgirlstandinginfrontofaboy · 01/10/2019 21:56

@Frizzy1986 omg amazing news!!!! I hope you are well. You did put your hand up and volunteer to be the one to have a 1st October baby!

Is it weird I'm getting more nervous than excited as my due date is approaching?

cattaxi · 01/10/2019 22:01

Good luck tomorrow @Em39ma! Will be thinking if you.

I think I’m the same @Ju5tAgirlstandinginfrontofaboy. Super excited to meet the new addition, but super nervous about his arrival & how our family will change.

Ju5tAgirlstandinginfrontofaboy · 01/10/2019 22:02

@MrsNotNice my baby doesn't seem to move each hour. Just busy and quiet periods and also busy and quiet days. I mentioned to my MW and she said as long as it's normal for us it's okay

YorkshireIndie · 01/10/2019 22:21

Congratulations @Frizzy1986!!! Can not wait for pictures! Lovely name

Slinkyreptile · 01/10/2019 22:38

SC0508 · 01/10/2019 22:44

Good luck tomorrow @Em39ma

@Frizzy1986 congratulations 💙🎉 wishing you a speedy recovery 😀 enjoy those baby cuddles

Maryrobinson81 · 01/10/2019 23:02

Congratulations @Frizzy1986! And good luck tomorrow @Em39ma.
It’s exciting hearing the updates!
I’ve had a lovely pregnancy massage today, and then lunch out.
Anyone else with other children getting constant questions about when baby is coming? They are very excited and now it’s october the older 2 keep asking will it be today will it be tomorrow, the youngest just keeps asking can it be a boy instead ( he wanted a brother bless him, but he will end up with 3 sisters!)
Hope all sleep well!

Frizzy1986 · 01/10/2019 23:51

Thanks everyone. Finally in the ward and dh has gone home to snooze.

Dh is allowed to stay overnight, but the chair is the only option for snoozing in. I've told him to go and get some rest though and he is allowed back at any time.

It was eventful to say the least. Surprised I managed to only have a 3a tear considering his size. I managed to slowly breathe through pushing him out although did feel I still rushed. Midwife was shocked I'd torn as she said he came out really slowly and well so I couldnt have done anything to avoid it.

Glad dh did some questionable driving as there were some queues in front of the hospital entrance (not for the hospital) and he just indicated and beeped around the cars. If he hadn't I would have given birth outside in the car.
Waters went in the car before I started to poo!
He's got to remove my poo and drive home with the windows open now. Thank god I was sat on a towel and a tena lady sheet thing.
He looks so much like his sister right now, but still amazed I got through it without any pain relief. Was not how I anticipated it.
Shocked he arrived on due date as well and dd is super excited it's a boy as that's what she wanted.

@Frizzy1986 he's absolutely gorgeous congratulations again, great news to hear you are all doing well 😀

kmammamalto · 02/10/2019 02:27

Wow @Frizzy1986 that's an incredible story! 😂😂at the poo in the car! They do say that's a good sign baby isn't far away!
Huge congratulations, he's beautiful and a brilliant size.
Good to know how quick your second labour was too. Hoping I can be as lucky.
Hope surgery went well and you heal ok and feel well. Hopefully you get some rest on the noisy hot labour ward!

Em39ma · 02/10/2019 02:54

He’s gorgeous @Frizzy1986.
My usual 3am catch up. Head is starting to think tomorrow over which doesn’t help.
I’m so ready, but doesn’t stop me being apprehensive. In my case it’s all unknown.

Frizzy1986 · 02/10/2019 03:11

@Em39ma you'll do amazingly. Just remember that whatever happens is for a reason so try and roll with and know that each step gets you closer to your baby.

@kmammamalto yes it very much meant baby was close. At first I thought it was baby but then had to advise dh that actually I was doing a poo, but that baby was on its was as I could feel the head moving through my cervix etc.
Thank god the midwives were on the ball and ran out with a wheelchair as fast as they did.
I already had my trousers round my ankles in the car so I'm sure some passers by got a great view!

HarryHarry · 02/10/2019 03:37

Congratulations to everyone who has already had their babies!

Today was the first time in days that I didn’t feel exhausted and fed up. I took my toddler for a haircut and sorted through his newborn clothes to see if there was anything his baby sister could wear. I also started packing my hospital bag but quickly realised I didn’t have a clue what to bring. It’s as if I’ve never done this before even though the last time was less than 18 months ago! The circumstances are a bit different though.

I’ve also been having lots of strange pains but I’m not sure if they are signs of labour. I was really hoping to deliver naturally before my ELCS on Monday but now that it’s only 5 days away it looks less and less likely. Oh well. Going to hospital tomorrow to discuss the procedure in detail.

Who else is having an ELCS? What are you packing in your hospital bag? How long do you expect to stay for?

secretlyhermione · 02/10/2019 06:21

@Frizzy1986 congratulations!! And one of the 5% to have a due date baby, alongside with your birth story that's already a pretty cool fact!! Enjoy the hugs and cuddles :)

userabcname · 02/10/2019 06:35

@Frizzy1986 huge congratulations! He is gorgeous! Hope you're all doing ok!

Maryrobinson81 · 02/10/2019 07:32

What a gorgeous boy @Frizzy1986. Hope you both had a good night. His hair is amazing!

Slinkyreptile · 02/10/2019 07:50

@Frizzy1986 awww what a cracker 💕💕

Well I’m hoping to be baby number 2...

Waters have went 😁 to go in at half 9 to be checked over as no contractions yet. If I don’t go into labour myself they will start to induce me by Friday

SC0508 · 02/10/2019 08:05

@Slinkyreptile good luck! Could all happen soon for you 😀 hopefully contractions start soon for you.

Frizzy1986 · 02/10/2019 08:12

@slinkyreptile how exciting! Hope it goes well

cattaxi · 02/10/2019 08:18

Oh wow @Frizzy1986 - he is scrumptious! And what a dramatic entrance. Better to have a poo than a baby in the car though!

@maryrobinson81 our ds has gone the opposite and seems to have decided that the baby is never going to come out! He used to ask all the time when he was coming, but hardly bothers there days!

Good luck today @Em39ma! And @Slinkyreptile! Exciting times!

I’m having an elcs @HarryHarry. Taking everything you would normally take, along with some over the bump kinickers & trousers so as not to irritate my scar. And some extra babygro’s to leave in the car - ds was very mucousy, which made him sick a lot to start with and can be common for c-section babies.

I’ve started to be really sick in the mornings again. So over it! So she has taken ds to school & I’m back in bed. Flu jab in a bit - hopefully it won’t make me feel too rough.

Em39ma · 02/10/2019 08:34

@Slinkyreptile hopefully we will both have babies before Friday. Good luck.
I’m now seeing all the things I haven’t got done in the house!
Mums coming over in a bit, as dad is at the dentist which is actually next door to our house. More comfy to wait here than in there uncomfortable chairs.

HJWT · 02/10/2019 08:35

Wow @Slinkyreptile Good luck! & @Em39ma Good look today hope it goes smooth & fast for you! 🥰

@Frizzy1986 aw bless him look at all that hair! Gorgeous x hope you are not to sore today and get to go home xx

Good luck @Em39ma and @Slinkyreptile - hopefully these babies will encourage the more stubborn ones to get a move on. I’m seeing the midwife this morning - not hopeful for much though as this baby seems waaaaaay to comfy at the minute. Watch me be the first due and last to deliver.... Sad
