@MrsNotNice hi I'm a level three trained hairdresser and I've always been taught it is perfectly safe to colour pregnant ladies hair.
The only thing that I do that's extra cautious when a lady is pregnant is I skin test every time as you can become more sensitive to products whilst pregnant and you don't want a reaction. So as long as you have a skin test it and that comes back as ok it is perfectly safe in my opinion to have your hair dyed whilst pregnant. I've also coloured my own all the way through 4 pregnancies no problem.

I hope this helps x

gkeal3 · 25/09/2019 18:26

@newbabyyy2019 wow another birth, congratulations on your beautiful girl...I hope you are well and enjoying your perfect little bundle!

I literally cannot wait to have a newborn to snuggle 🥰

Frizzy1986 · 25/09/2019 18:31

@newbabyyy2019 awwww how adorable. Massive congratulations!!
Don't worry about the pain and discomfort. I tore badly last time and it does get better in time. Enjoy baby cuddles.

@cattaxi oh wow. That must have filled you with utter panic! Glad all is OK though.

@mrsnotnice I don't think using hair dye should be a massive concern. I'd just make sure I rinse it each day with water to get rid of the smell as soon as possible.

@Em39ma Ooo bump dropping sounds good. Not sure how long after bump drops things can happen though. I carry really low anyway so I don't think I'd be able to tell if it drops.

@HJWT that's really bad. Why did she push the appointment back 3 times?! That doesn't seem professional at all. How can you get repeat business if you can't keep an appointment for someone.

My god the rolo pie was rich, super tasty but wow. Pretty sure now there are slices out of it, all the caramel will start to leach out and pool in the gap as well.

HJWT · 25/09/2019 18:42

@newbabyyy2019 aw beautiful congratulations love the name 😁 xxx

@Frizzy1986 because she was behind with the client she had in apparently ! the last time she text to say another half hour I was in the car about to set of so that really annoyed me! X

@HJWT well then she clearly hasn't given enough time in her schedule to do each appointment then. I get sometimes they over run, but 3 times seems excessive. It just comes across that they don't actually have the ability to work out how long something will take them.
Any chance you can find someone else? Maybe a Facebook post for recommendations of someone who has space?
I should've got my hair cut, maybe trimmed and thinned out. It's so thick right now. I don't think I've had it done since before Xmas! And no chance I'll have time once baby has arrived.

userabcname · 25/09/2019 19:14

@newbabyyy2019 congratulations! She's lovely!

HJWT · 25/09/2019 19:22

@Frizzy1986 Iv asked my DM friend! She cuts hair but I was getting it dyed! Over £100 so her loss I guess. When I went last time she seemed to have back to back appointments and did 2 of us at once so your probably right xx

Im getting a lot of lower back pain ! Hope it turns into front pain 😂 xx

@newbabyyy2019 congratulations at last a baby girl.
Be interesting to see how many more will be here before us next week.
I’m hoping if bump is dropping we won’t need much help when we go in next week.

secretlyhermione · 25/09/2019 20:04

@newbaby2019 congratulations that's great news!! Enjoy the new born snuggles

Love all these babies arriving 🥰

Em39ma · 26/09/2019 03:21

Be interesting how many of us get to due date. I’m going to be a good 15/16 days early.
I’ve decided I might as well get used to being up at this time. I’m just hoping after next week it’s not because my hip is hurting me.

Frizzy1986 · 26/09/2019 03:45

@Em39ma I wonder if there are stats for how many babies are typically born before due date? And if we as a group fit the pattern.

This is my second wake up of the night. First one I got some really sharp pains in my bump as I tried to roll over. Nothing labour related, I think it was more like I'd pulled a muscle in my bump with the weight of it.
Although my hips tend to be what wakes me, I'm finding it's the hunger that can then keep me awake at the moment. I should be bringing snacks to bed or something as I just can't stop thinking about eating once I'm awake.

I'll be the first to make it to due date (1st Oct)
Not sure any amount of hip wiggles on my ball is going to change that. Baby is clearly just too comfortable.

HarryHarry · 26/09/2019 04:07

Hello! I was on one of the other October 2019 threads but I lost track of it. I haven’t RTFT yet so I have a lot of catching up to do.

My baby girl is due in 11 days by ELCS but I’m desperately hoping for a VBAC before then! I currently feel more tired and uncomfortable than I ever have in my life. I have a 17 month old boy who has just started walking and spends all day dragging me by the hand around our building, up and down the stairs - it’s an absolute nightmare! Fingers crossed for a quick delivery!

Em39ma · 26/09/2019 04:11

@Frizzy1986 I’m not that hungry. I’m probably eating less than I did before pregnant. Everyone keeps saying I’m must be starving, but not a craving or hunger pang. I need to make sure I eat breakfast, lunch and supper or someone gets very kicky, but not snacked or anything.
Beginning to think I must be strange.

kmammamalto · 26/09/2019 04:39

Ohhh I've missed.loads!! Huge congratulations @newbabyyy2019 and @CarysRed !!!! Those are some adorable gorgeous babies.
Up.with hip pain and general insomnia and @Frizzy1989 starvation! I keep granola bars and breakfast biscuits in my bed side table and big bottle of water! Other wise I would never get back to sleep! Husband finds it hilarious and toddler raids them at bed time!
I'm the same when breast feeding so getting in the habit of having handy snacks now! 😂
I've been so stressed and negative this week. Maybe it's the weather, every twinge has made me so on edge as I'm not ready for baby in practical sense but I also just want her here so I can get on with being a mum of two and know everything is going to be ok! Emotions are very high!
Hope you're all getting some rest x

secretlyhermione · 26/09/2019 06:33

Good morning ladies! 37 weeks today so officially near-term!! Very happy to have made it this far. Am happy for baby to come when he/she is ready. Following hypnobirthing so trying to see my due date as my due from date and not the deadline (granted that's easier said than done!) Has anyone started doing perineal massages down there? I was thinking of starting today... Guess it can't hurt?

Frizzy1986 · 26/09/2019 06:40

@secretlyhermione I stuck my fingers in down there the other week (as I've had a prior tear) but it's super swollen and impossible for me to actually reach far enough to do anything.
I know dh loves me, but considering the effort it takes just to get a back massage from him, I don't think it's going to be top of his list to do, plus not sure I want him to assist as there are some things you just can't unsee!!
Definitely give it a try though if you can. Not like it will do any harm.
Yay for 37 weeks as well. It's a nice milestone to get to.

Figuringitout · 26/09/2019 06:58

Morning - I slept pretty well last night. Got a busy day today. Went shopping yesterday for final bits and was walking lots - thought I might have had a bit of a show when I got home, but not really sure. Wondering if being active again today might trigger something?! I’ve got a bit of niggly backache, but nothing very exciting.
@Frizzy1986 - I’m due Monday and think I will probably still be pregnant by then too. Would be interesting to see how we all get on and who is ‘early’ or ‘late’. I’m trying to think of it as a ‘due period’ and reminding myself that my baby will be born when it is ready! My other kids are getting impatient though!
Hope you all have a good day today- will check in later.
