Starting a new thread for all of us that find ourselves pregnant again after one or more heartbreaking losses. I know it is really hard to join a pregnancy thread after miscarriage and we all fear the worst will happen again, but let's go on this journey together and hold hands along the way.

This is a safe place for all the ladies on the first pregnancy missed miscarriage thread and for any newcomers who want to join - you are all most welcome! All of the ladies on here have suffered one or more miscarriages and most of us have had particularly difficult losses, such as mmc and other complications. You don't need to be pregnant again to join - you are also most welcome if you have had a loss and are trying again. But we will be sharing scan photos and details of the new pregnancies, in case anyone might find that to be triggering.

Tagging @Catconfusion @Amanda81 @Kiki061190 @3204ECL @Babypending @Ginmonkey84 @MrsMGE and please add anyone else I may have left off. Without further ado, let's start the roll call.

About me: Age 31, trying for my first baby. Previous mmc at 12 weeks in February (hb stopped at 9+4), this turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy and I was monitored by CX hospital for three months. CP in March.

Now 9 weeks, EDD in March, if I make it that long. Oscillating between hope and extreme anxiety every day!

@Kiki061190 I've been asked by two separate people now. I think because my tummy is sore I'm probably stroking it which makes me look further along. Also it does feel pretty big. Xx

Kiki061190 · 01/10/2019 12:36

@Catconfusion My tummy is also feeling sore and quite delicate all the time! Can’t believe our scans are this week ♥️

Catconfusion · 01/10/2019 12:43

@Kiki061190 it's just horrible isn't it!? Mine starts to feel better and then I'm sick again. I think I might have a bit more energy though so with any luck it will start to lift soon.

It's so good our scans are coming up. I don't think I could wait much longer for one. Xx

Kiki061190 · 01/10/2019 12:49

@Catconfusion I wish my scan was in the morning but it’s actually at half past 3 on Thursday. Finishing work early so at least I’ll have work to keep me busy!

It’s a shame you are still feeling sick. Glad your energy is picking up though. I still have nausea at different parts of the day but hoping that eases.

Catconfusion · 01/10/2019 12:53

@Kiki061190 it's so nerve wracking. Hopefully work will take your mind off it a bit.

I'm not too bad until I try and get up or do something and then I vomit. There is no way I could go to work which makes the waiting harder. I'm amazed I made it out last night. I had a sick bowl in my bag in case. I drove home as well so DH could have a drink then ran up the stairs to be sick. I'm vomiting about 2/3 times a day so not as bad as some poor ladies. It's not pleasant though. I just can't wait for it to go so I can get my life back! Xx

Cazzy198 · 01/10/2019 18:14

@Kiki061190 Yes, I have one booked for tomorrow afternoon. Feeling very nervous already!

Kiki061190 · 01/10/2019 18:43

@Catconfusion Are you just going to wait and see if you can return to work during the pregnancy? It’s so hard because one of my higher ups was working at the same rate she always had when pregnant and she wore herself out with it and the doctor had to sign her off the last 3 months of her pregnancy. You can’t control how your body will react to it which makes planning hard.

Catconfusion · 01/10/2019 18:55

@Kiki061190 we've actually sorted finances so I can take as much time off as I need, even if it's the whole pregnancy. As I was so ill before the mmc we've contingency planned. Also as I suffer with arthritis we don't know how I'll be as I get bigger. I'm self employed and I've just not taken any new work on. I would love to take a few bits on in the next few weeks but at this rate I can't see it. Ive been sick again this afternoon and not been able to get off the sofa. It's so draining. Luckily DH is a radio producer on the breakfast show so he's home by 1pm to look after me. Xx

Kiki061190 · 01/10/2019 19:09

@Catconfusion That’s great that you have everything organised! I’m hoping if all goes well and I get to the stage of maternity leave that I work until 37/38 weeks to give me more time off with the baby!

bananamonkey · 01/10/2019 21:39

What a lovely little bump @Catconfusion! I’m paranoid that people keep glancing at my belly but I probably just look a bit fat!

So sorry for your mum @Cazzy198, can you try some mediation apps or yoga? Sorry if they sound lame but I find exercise helps me cope with stress. I found out at my 12 week scan so I’m feeling similar, it’s a milestone that feels marred which such negativity and is taking an age to get out of the way.

That’s annoying about your scan @Puppymum, my appointment came the day after my MW appointment which seemed crazy fast and I’ll be 12 weeks exactly. With my first pregnancy they booked it for just after 14 weeks for some reason but I called them and got it changed to a few days before so I was in the screening window.

Kiki061190 · 02/10/2019 07:51

@Cazzy198 Hoping your scan goes well today ♥️ I’m so sorry about to hear your mum is terminally ill, life can be so cruel. I don’t think the anxiety ever really goes away if I’m honest, it’s one of the hardest things.

Kiki061190 · 02/10/2019 07:51

@bananamonkey Hi! Is your scan this week?

bananamonkey · 02/10/2019 08:20

@Kiki061190 it’s Monday

Catconfusion · 02/10/2019 08:53

@Cazzy198 good luck with the scan. I hope it gives you some reassurance! Xx

@Kiki061190 not long now!!!! One more sleep for you! Xx

Thanks @bananamonkey and good luck for your scan. I've got a feeling it will be fine but can understand it's triggering. Xx

sadtoday21 · 02/10/2019 08:59

@Kiki061190 good luck for your scan tomorrow!! Thinking of you ❤️

@Catconfusion lovely bump pic, that looks pretty similar to me! It’s wonderful you are showing so soon and don’t worry about stupid comments. Good luck for your scan this week!

@bananamonkey good luck to you too! Will be such a relief once you get through it and on the other end of 12 weeks xxx.

@Cazzy198 thinking of you today! I’m sorry to hear about your mum, that must be so tough. I lost my first baby on the anniversary of my mum’s death from breast cancer the year before. It was a really dark time. I don’t know how I got through it, but things will get better in time. Just take care of yourself and give yourself permission to be sad and try to do things you enjoy to take your mind off it as much as possible. Sending you hugs!

As for me, I’m 17 weeks tomorrow and still quite anxious to feel some movement!

Kiki061190 · 02/10/2019 12:50

@Catconfusion I can’t believe it’s tomorrow. I am so so nervous. It isn’t until half past 3 as well! How are you today?

@sadtoday21 Thank you so much. I’m so so scared of a bad outcome tomorrow. I feel like now I’ve made it to 12 weeks there’s so much more to lose if that makes sense. Sorry you are anxious for movement. I know some people don’t feel it until after 20 weeks. A member of my fam was 22 weeks but her placenta was in a funny place.

Catconfusion · 02/10/2019 16:44

@Kiki061190 I'm a little better today thanks. Hopefully it will continue. Getting a little nervous. Just think, 48 hours and we'll both be done! Xx

Thanks @sadtoday21 My Dad came round today and couldn't believe how much it had grown. I'm quite liking that people are noticing. It means they move out the way quicker etc. Xx

Catconfusion · 02/10/2019 16:56

@sadtoday21 I really hope you feel movements soon. I personally can't wait! X

Kiki061190 · 02/10/2019 19:09

@Catconfusion I’m so very anxious now. Trying to stay occupied but it’s hard. I think the anxiety will be heightened tomorrow but at least I’ll know the outcome by this time tomorrow! Glad you are feeling a little better. Only 2 sleeps until your scan!

So12345 · 02/10/2019 19:14

@Catconfusion and @Kiki061190 I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.

@Cazzy198 I’m sorry about your mum. Hope you’re ok. X

I’m also feeling really anxious today. I am not feeling sick anymore, and have very very light pressure feelings in my uterus. I still have sore boobs and I’m knackered but I’m also spotting and I’m so nervous. X

Cazzy198 · 02/10/2019 20:57

Good luck @Catconfusion and @Kiki061190

My scan today showed baby at 9mm with a steady heartbeat which is healthy and where I should be. That's further than I got last time do I feel better but still anxious at getting to 12 weeks.

Thanks for all the advice, mindfulness apps that focus on breathing seem to help when I feel a panic attack coming.

My fingers are crossed for everyone else that has scans coming up

Puppymum · 02/10/2019 21:41

@Cazzy198 I'm so glad your scan went well, was thinking of you. A couple of good milestones ticked off there

Catconfusion · 03/10/2019 06:03

@Kiki061190 I've woken up feeling quite anxious and I have a whole 28 hours to get through. Good luck today and I'll be thinking of you. Just take each moment as it comes and let anxiety wash over you as much as you can. You'll be just fine! Xx

I'm sorry @So12345 you're feeling so anxious. I've felt it too when symptoms have come and gone. I hope the spotting stops. It really doesn't help. Xx

@Cazzy198 I'm over the moon for you. What fantastic news. Not long now until 12 weeks. I hope it comes quickly for you! Xx

Kiki061190 · 03/10/2019 07:47

@Catconfusion I can’t believe today is the day! I completely understand what you mean about anxiety. I look calm on the outside but inside I’m a wreck. I just want it over with. I can’t believe I’ve got this far but there’s so much to potentially lose today as well.

Catconfusion · 03/10/2019 08:02

@Kiki061190 there is so much more to lose but the chances are far slimmer than at the other scan. Very few people go for their 12 week scan after seeing a healthy baby and get bad news. It's overwhelmingly likely all will be well and baby will be a little monkey for the sonographer. I will be thinking about you today and have everything crossed it's a happy positive experience. Xx
