Starting a new thread for all of us that find ourselves pregnant again after one or more heartbreaking losses. I know it is really hard to join a pregnancy thread after miscarriage and we all fear the worst will happen again, but let's go on this journey together and hold hands along the way.

This is a safe place for all the ladies on the first pregnancy missed miscarriage thread and for any newcomers who want to join - you are all most welcome! All of the ladies on here have suffered one or more miscarriages and most of us have had particularly difficult losses, such as mmc and other complications. You don't need to be pregnant again to join - you are also most welcome if you have had a loss and are trying again. But we will be sharing scan photos and details of the new pregnancies, in case anyone might find that to be triggering.

Tagging @Catconfusion @Amanda81 @Kiki061190 @3204ECL @Babypending @Ginmonkey84 @MrsMGE and please add anyone else I may have left off. Without further ado, let's start the roll call.

About me: Age 31, trying for my first baby. Previous mmc at 12 weeks in February (hb stopped at 9+4), this turned out to be a partial molar pregnancy and I was monitored by CX hospital for three months. CP in March.

Now 9 weeks, EDD in March, if I make it that long. Oscillating between hope and extreme anxiety every day!

That’s excellent news @sadtoday21 I think those are the lowest I’ve ever seen so should hopefully be plain sailing now! Xx

So ladies we went to our scan today and got fantastic news. Baby is measuring 8 plus 5 and all is looking completely normal. It’s little hands were even moving. We’re over the moon! It makes all the sickness worth it! Xx

@Catconfusion Congrats!!!! So happy for you! What a beautiful picture. ♥️♥️♥️

I’m currently in Italy ladies and having a pool day today. Have virtually no symptoms so really prepared for bad news October 3rd but I’m not allowing that to affect me on holiday. ♥️

@sadtoday21 Amazing results! So chuffed for you ♥️

Catconfusion · 07/09/2019 13:43

Thank so so much @Kiki061190 Have a lovely time in Italy. Please don't think the worst based on lack of symptoms. I was convinced we'd get bad news today as I haven't been sick in a couple of days and it was fine. The sonographer said horrendously throwing up and no symptoms at all are both normal. As long as there's no bleeding or severe cramping the chances are good. It's a completely different pregnancy and far more likely a good outcome than not. I hope October 3rd comes quickly for you. For now have a fantastic time and try and relax as much as you can. You deserve it! xx

bananamonkey · 07/09/2019 18:06

Excellent news @sadtoday21!

What a great picture @Catconfusion so glad the scan was lovely, little hands! 💕

Enjoy your hols @Kiki061190

Catconfusion · 07/09/2019 18:21

Thanks @bananamonkey the EPAU were amazing. They’ve offered fortnightly scans until 16 weeks so you should get the same if you feel you want them! How are you feeling? Xx

sadtoday21 · 07/09/2019 20:26

Wow @Catconfusion, congrats on your amazing scan!!! You must be feeling so relieved. Will your next one be around 10 weeks then? I'm surprised your EPAU offers fortnightly scans until 16 weeks, I don't think that's normal? Mine is great, but still only for emergencies or medical reasons.

How are you doing @bananamonkey?

@Kiki061190 try to enjoy your holiday! Symptoms can go either way and you'll feel so much better after your 12 week scan. Not long to go now!!

@3204ECL did you get your test results yet? Thinking of you xxx.

Thanks @sadtoday21 no not normal so I’m very lucky to have access to it. I thought today would be the last but they are happy to keep seeing me. A friend of mine had the same after her two mcs. We have a very good EPAU. They really seem to take the mental health side of loss seriously. Yes the next one is at 10 weeks. Xx

bananamonkey · 07/09/2019 21:26

I’m ok thanks, still feeling very unpregnant but got some nice plans for the rest of my holiday which should keep me busy.

Catconfusion · 07/09/2019 21:38

Try not to worry @bananamonkey. I know it’s hard. I strangely had no symptoms this morning and the sonographer said that’s as normal as the vomiting. Have a lovely rest of your holiday. It’s good you have distractions! x

Kiki061190 · 07/09/2019 22:46

@Catconfusion I know you’re so right, it’s just so hard when you don’t know what’s going on in there! I’ve had a great holiday so far ♥️ Hope you’re having a fab weekend!

@sadtoday21 Awww I know I am just letting anxiety get the better of me! We told the couple we are on holiday with today that we are pregnant as I’m not drinking and don’t have a big appetite and I found myself speaking it down and making it out like it won’t happen.

@bananamonkey I’m the exact same so I totally get what you’re saying. It’s so hard when you don’t feel anything at all! How far along are you now? I’m 8+2 and just feel so unpregnant!

MrsA2015 · 07/09/2019 22:53

27 yr old , TTC for second after healthy DD born almost 4 years ago. Just coming through the other side of a 5+3 loss last week. Still feeling rubbish about it but reminding myself it could’ve been worse. Terribly sorry for the losses you’ve all suffered.Flowers

bananamonkey · 08/09/2019 08:57

7+6 today @Kiki061190, getting there so slowly!

Sorry for your loss @MrsA2015 x Here’s a great place to talk.

mommato3 · 08/09/2019 11:13

Well I've had a worrysome weekend. Had some brown spotting on Friday night. Red spotting last night and a little brown this morning. No pain. Mw isn't answering the phone and epau won't be able to see me until tomorrow earliest so if it carries on will be taking a trip to a&e when I get home or in the morning as we're currently at our caravan 🤷‍♀️😟
Anyone experienced this. 13+1 today x

MrsA2015 · 08/09/2019 11:41

@mommato3 I really hope it’s nothing sinister, as far as I know brown isn’t a terrible sign. Hopefully you get seen to ASAP, in the meantime be kind to yourself and rest as much as you can, less stress the better x

sadtoday21 · 09/09/2019 10:39

@mommato3 I think you are pretty far gone to be experiencing bleeding at this stage, so I would immediately go to the EPAU if you haven't already. Spotting can be normal in early pregnancy, especially if it is brown, but I've usually heard about this at 7/8 weeks and at 13 weeks I really wouldn't take the risk.

@Catconfusion how are you feeling today?

@Kiki061190 hope you are keeping busy on your holiday! Any changes in your symptoms?

@3204ECL have you gotten your test results back yet? Thinking of you Xxx.

I've decided to go to the midwife tomorrow and see if she can help somehow with the anxiety. I'm not sure what she will do, but fingers crossed she will be helpful!

Catconfusion · 09/09/2019 11:49

Hey @sadtoday21 thanks for asking but not much more to report. I’m still vomiting about three times a day but managing to keep some food down. The sonographer said at my scan I can be admitted and go on a drip and meds if it gets worse. I feel comforted by that at least. I’m trying to keep going as normally as possible. DH is taking me to see a friend later as I can’t drive like this. I’m looking forward to having some company as it’s a bit lonely stuck at home. I keep looking at our little scan picture and thinking it will be more than worth it on the end.

I think you’re doing the right thing seeing the midwife. I hope she’s supportive and offers you some reassurance. If it’s not helpful I’d see your GP and ask if anything else can be done. It seems like there is generally a gap in the system for dealing with the anxiety of pregnancy after loss. It’s so tough fearing the worst and trying to be positive. I think you’re doing really well. I’m sure we’ll have our babies next year and it will all be worth it! xx

Catconfusion · 09/09/2019 11:50

@mommato3 I know someone who bled on and off until 16 weeks and all was fine but it’s worth checking out. I hope you get seen today and get some reassurance. Xx

mommato3 · 09/09/2019 15:15

I went to a&e last night. They examined me and said the cervix looked good for the stage of pregnancy I'm at and was no evidence of an active bleed. They booked me for a scan today which I have been for. No sign of any bleed and baby was measuring 13+5 so new EDD is 11/3. All well ladies. Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️❤️

@Catconfusion Sorry you’re still feeling unwell! It’s a shame you can’t do much but hopefully it’ll ease off soon. I’m still feeling nothing really over here. Having quite a lot of EWCM this past week but not sure if that’s just normal.

@sadtoday21 Definitely a good idea to see a midwife if you are feeling anxious. How have you been feeling otherwise?

Having a fab holiday ladies! So burnt tho already!

Catconfusion · 09/09/2019 18:30

Amazing scan @mommato3 I’m so pleased for you that all is well! xx

@Kiki061190 I’ve definitely had a lot more EWCM though I am on progesterone so I’m not sure if it’s that. I hope you’re having a good time! Xx

sadtoday21 · 09/09/2019 20:57

Gorgeous scan photos @mommato3, really pleased all is looking well for you! It's so interesting how babies look so different at this stage - I just looked back at my photos from 12 weeks and you can tell its a totally different person from yours! Maybe that sounds obvious, but its exciting how unique they each look. Really hope you can relax a bit now xxx.

@Kiki061190 I had a bit of EWCM earlier on too, which also freaked me out at first! I think its totally normal.

Thanks @Catconfusion I'm glad you were able to get out of the house and spend some time with your friend. You still seem very relaxed about the whole thing, which is excellent! Hope the next two weeks go by quickly for you!

Catconfusion · 09/09/2019 21:09

Thanks @sadtoday21 we’re just trying to stay positive at the moment. I think it might be a bit easier as our loss was technically very early even though we didn’t find out until 10 weeks. So I’m much further along than I got before. We bought a pack of Star Wars baby grows after our scan being big geeks. It was nice to allow ourselves that. We figure there has to be some hope it’ll work out fine. It’s hard though and I know at the end of this week I’ll be itching for the next scan.

Did you see the midwife yet? I hope she offers you some extra support! Xx

sadtoday21 · 10/09/2019 11:43

@Catconfusion at the midwife now and already waiting an hour so not off to a great start! Starting to think this was a waste of time...

Catconfusion · 10/09/2019 12:47

Oh no @sadtoday21 that’s bad making pregnant ladies wait so long. I hope you’ve been in and it was helpful after all. Let us know how you got on! Xx

Kiki061190 · 10/09/2019 16:33

@Catconfusion @sadtoday21 Thanks ladies! Good to know you both had EWCM!

@Catconfusion How sweet! Little Star Wars baby grows ♥️ That will be adorable! How have you been feeling? I’m still over here pretty much minus symptoms. My appetite hasn’t been great this holiday!

@sadtoday21 How did you get on at the midwife? Ridiculous you had to wait so long!
