@keyboard91 i think discharge is normal at this point and from what I've read we should be having more than usual through pregnancy as its your bodies way of removing bacteria to protect the baby. Were you told to avoid sex? I dont think there's a link between sex and mc and baby is well protected at this stage. Keep a close eye on things and call your midwife if you're feeling worried. If it helps to know we've not abstained and its been fine. Maybe talk to your fiance so he can give you a bit extra support tonight x

Jesskir89 · 02/08/2019 17:07

@hopefulowl possibly because I'm not as bad as some of you girls and he thinks my b12 is low so sending me for blood tests. Hope you're better soon. @Keyboard91 could the discharge be from the orgasm? Usually you get fluid after sex of course but yours is mixed with your hubbys so would look different... Just a thought

avocadoincident · 02/08/2019 17:30

@Jampot36 you aren't alone, we aren't abstaining either (well I am currently due to tummy bug and him away) but look out when he gets back!

@Jesskir89 what makes them worried about your b12? Have you heard of cooking with nutritional yeast? It's a great source of b12.

Jesskir89 · 02/08/2019 17:38

@avocadoincident because of how drained I am. I'm literally falling asleep at my desk in work. And no I've not heard of that what would you put it in?

QueenOfThePumpkins · 02/08/2019 18:06

Hi ladies :)
I joined the previous thread early on but haven't been back for a while, as I've been feeling so sick and am trying not to think about it!

I'm now nearly 9 weeks and had my booking appointment on Tuesday. I was told that I'll be under the consultant due to my anxiety diagnosis. Today I got an appointment letter through for the end of October to see the consultant - but still no appointment for my 12 week scan Hmm
Is that normal or could they have overlooked it? I feel like I'm being so impatient Grin

Congrats to those who have recently joined by the way Smile

Yvonne1988 · 02/08/2019 18:49

I had what I suppose you would call spotting last night. Its about the 4th time now. Pinky red but only when I wiped. Phoned the midwife this morning who isn't worried cos I'm not in any pain. Just not something iv ever really experienced before.
I'm back at work on Monday after a week off. I'm a cook. My boss knows but the other cook is on holiday. I'm gonna have help in with me but it won't be the same. And they don't know. Im choosing not to lift anything heavy and I don't want to be awkward but with the on off bleeding I want to be careful.
I was ready for it to get bad last night and plan to book another trip to New York but it went away.

ttc19 · 02/08/2019 19:23

Evening. I've been having the most excruciating headaches.. anybody else? Paracetamol doesn't seem to touch them & I'm definitely drinking enough water 😣 Any other suggestions? Has anyone had any success with those 4head sticks? X

Jampot36 · 02/08/2019 19:27

@ttc19 lavender oil is meant to be good for headaches, massage a couple of drops into your temples. Are you getting enough sleep?

MummyP1g · 02/08/2019 19:30

Hello ladies.

Hope you're all doing well.

I'm currently 7+2 with my second, due 18th March 2020.

I had a MMC back in February at around 9 weeks, so we're going for a private scan tomorrow to check progress and hopefully put our minds at rest.

My first midwife appointment isn't until I'm nearly 11 weeks and I'm away the week after so booking in scans is going to be fun!

Currently battling with nausea and trying to avoid things that make me sick! X

MummyP1g · 02/08/2019 19:32

@ttc19 are they tiredness related? I've had to give up my early morning runs as I pushed myself to get up and got an awful headache that made me sick which then made it worse. It's been better since I've slept in a bit instead of running.

ttc19 · 02/08/2019 19:40

Thanks @Jampot36 I've done that immediately as I always have lavender and peppermint oils for anxiety!

@MummyP1g I'm not sure. I've been the unwell the last few days with a cold. I've been napping/resting as much as I can but a lot of it is just lying there and not sleeping. I've not been able to go to the gym for the last couple of weeks.. first week we were away and this week I'm physically exhausted & very nauseas!

Hope you're both ok!

Jampot36 · 02/08/2019 20:20

@ttc19 i love lavender oil! I've been using the this works pillow spray at night to help me sleep and its amazing, little pricey but worth it! I got mine in duty free at the airport so was a bit cheaper.

barnyb · 02/08/2019 20:30

@MummyP1g hello! Congratulations! Oh bless you yes I think the general consensus of the group is feeling like hell and wanting to throw up! 🤮🤢🥴😂😅 bloody awful! Lets hurry these next few weeks along and hope we start to feel better soon! Good luck with scan tomorrow ! X

ELW85 · 02/08/2019 20:32

Evening all! I hope you’ve all had lovely Fridays?
I’ve been feeling nauseous most of the day (strangely comforting!) and I passed out on the sofa when I got home from work.

I haven’t made it to the gym this week which is unheard of, so hoping I can get back to it next week.

For those with their 12 week scan letters, when did you get them? Still to get ours 🧐

@Keyboard91 - you’ve got nothing to worry about by the sounds of it :)

barnyb · 02/08/2019 20:33

@Yvonne1988 hope your ok. Have you had any bleeding today? what happened last time you had it? Did it just go away? Did you have a scan ? xxx

Keyboard91 · 02/08/2019 20:34

@Jesskir89 @jampot36 it definitely wasn’t usual post arousal but whatever it was it’s stopped now. I’ve had no spotting and everything seems as it was so reassured now. I’ve said to my fiancé about it and have said if in a few days/week I’m still okay then maybe we can rekindle some sort of sex life. 🤞

@QueenOfThePumpkins I’m not sure how early they tell you about the 12 week scan, but you could always drop a call to your midwife to ask? I know I’d be feeling the same.

@ttc19 I’ve had some horrid hormonal headaches too. I love my 4head - have a stick in my bedroom, downstairs and in my handbag. If that doesn’t cut it I add paracetamol. If that doesn’t work I have migraine strips which are strips of cooler blue gel that sticks across your forehead. So far it’s meant I can keep on top of them.

@MummyP1g good luck for your scan tomorrow. We are booking one for the 13th when I’ll be 7+6!

barnyb · 02/08/2019 20:35

@ELW85 hello! I got my scan letter really fast! Like 5 days after I registered my pregnancy. However it took about 6 weeks to get my midwife appointment! So I wouldn't worry too much at the moment. They get inundated and react at different speeds. I'd give it a few weeks and then chase up xxx

Yvonne1988 · 02/08/2019 20:39

@barnyb no scan yet think cos im not in any pain. First few times it happened I wiped once and then that was it away. Lasted a bit longer last night. Ok today. Think it was slightly pink once. I'm hoping I get my booking appointment soon. If it keeps happening I'll keep phoning.
Wouldn't be easy for me to get to a scan though. Hospital about 25 min drive, partner works in 5 hours away in Wales. I'm a proper worrier and I'm not worried yet.

Jesskir89 · 02/08/2019 20:43

@Keyboard91 glad to hear it :)

Jesskir89 · 02/08/2019 20:44

@Jampot36 what is the pillow spray called please?

barnyb · 02/08/2019 20:44

@Yvonne1988 when was the first time this happened ? When I had a mc I noticed when I wiped. But literally from that moment on it didn't stop. It was light but it was there. and then it got a little heavier and then so on. It wasn't like what your describing. Is partner home with you now? just try and relax. Have a bath and put a nice film on. And see how you go. Have you been having regular symptoms still? Nausea? Fatigue? Sore breasts ? Xx

Yvonne1988 · 02/08/2019 20:48

@barnyb first time was last week on Wednesday I think, just once in the morning
then possibly Saturday morning Still got all symptoms yeh was sick brushing my teeth as usual.

Yvonne1988 · 02/08/2019 20:49

@barnyb and yeh he is home now. We just spent a few days in Wales so have done nothing but sit in a car for 7 hours today. He goes back tomorrow though.

ELW85 · 02/08/2019 20:52

@barnyb - thanks! I’ll keep an eye on it and get in touch again in a couple of weeks if I haven’t had it through :) xx

ttc19 · 02/08/2019 20:58

@Jesskir89 I think it's called "this works" x
