@Yvonne1988 I guess with your body working so hard now it's bound to take its toll! Do you find you can nap in the day?

@satsumasaturday thanks lovely, it was a super Monday! I tend to wake up early too but I just nap later on if I need it! Although I need to get out that routine as I'll be back in work in a few more weeks!

Yvonne1988 · 13/08/2019 07:09

@naylor19 I can and sometimes will try but then I feel a bit guilty.

barnyb · 13/08/2019 07:16

@Naylor19 holds in what? Xx

Naylor19 · 13/08/2019 07:17

@Yvonne1988 aw you shouldn't feel guilty! Your bodies doing an amazing thing, I guess having children already is hazard so I can imagine why you'd feel bad though. I only have the dogs and they'll nap with me! lol I do feel like my housework is slowly mounting up around me though but I just can't motivate myself! We go away Sunday so I do need to get it done before then!

Naylor19 · 13/08/2019 07:19

@barnyb sorry it's an expression shortened for using team teach, as I work with aggressive and dangerous children. So we have to use TT holds to keep them and us safe sometimes. But obviously that's a risk as we do get hurt sometimes whilst trying to perform these so I won't be able to do them now incase I was to be hit in the stomach x

blondie87 · 13/08/2019 07:21

Such lovely news @Dinosauraddict and @Naylor19- was thinking of you both!

We’re moving house tomorrow and combined with looking after the two little ones I’m shattered! I’ve also got my nhs dating scan tomorrow so I’m a little nervous especially after m/c. We’re moving across the country and it’s exciting but really triggering anxiety as I’ve left a teaching job I loved and now I’m going to be a sahm which is a huge life change. Any other sahms?

Naylor19 · 13/08/2019 07:23

@blondie87 thanks lovely, I'm sure dating scan will go perfectly! Try not to worry :) moving house and a new job is a big stress! But I'm sure once your settled in it will all be worth it x

Jesskir89 · 13/08/2019 07:31

@Naylor19 thanks. @Yvonne1988 feeding the dog just set me off! Lol @blondie87 good luck for tomorrow and the move I'm sure you'll be fine :)

barnyb · 13/08/2019 08:15

@Naylor19 I thought you meant you was a gymnast or dancer! lol
Oh crikey yes best not do anything like that!! Xxx

Yvonne1988 · 13/08/2019 08:47

@Jesskir89 omg my dog yesterday. I left him food in the morning before work but he didn't touch it. He's a husky and when he has an empty stomach he throws up. Waited til I got home to be sick. Luckily it was outside but it still set me off. He's raw fed and usually I'll sort it but the kidney I can't even look at it so it will have to wait

Naylor19 · 13/08/2019 08:48

@barnyb oh no definitely not! Blush lol yeah there usually pretty good at making sure people are safe when pregnant. Only problem is, I'll be the second person pregnant in my classroom so I think they'll have o shift some staff around! Hoping they won't move me as I'll be around for longer than the other lady as she's due November x

barnyb · 13/08/2019 09:08

@Naylor19 yes fingers crossed you get the shifts you want ey! I need to speak to my work today about some late shifts iv been doing. It's overtime and not contracted but iv been doing a lot of someone else's late shifts and looks like I'm down to do all hers in September too! And nobody asked if I wanted to / can 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Naylor19 · 13/08/2019 09:17

@barnyb yes, I'd definitely get that sorted! I'm exhausted now I can imagine what I'll be like as it progresses! I'm hoping when the sickness stage passes I'll feel like I have more energy again!

Jesskir89 · 13/08/2019 10:19

@Yvonne1988 oh gosh I feel for yok! Winston didn't eat his yesterdat and it's all I could smell when I got in from work :(

Yvonne1988 · 13/08/2019 10:40

@jesskir89 tell you what really gets me. The trap thing in the sink that stops all the food going down 😷

Jesskir89 · 13/08/2019 12:12

@Yvonne1988 hahaha yep!
I've booked a private scan for next week so I'll be 10+1 as I wanted one before my holiday. This will be my 3rd scan but the first was an internal. There's no danger to the baby having more scans is there?

Keyboard91 · 13/08/2019 12:31

@Jesskir89 no risk to baby :) I’m booking one for week after next when I’ll be around 10 weeks too :)

Has anyone gone to one of those Mothercare new expectant parent events? They have one near us on Sunday and debating if it’s worth it? It’s free, just a 25min drive and involves leaving the house 🙈

I also must do some work today as had very vivid dreams about what I needed to do and what would happen if I didn’t 🤦‍♀️

@keyboard91 I did one with my first, some useful info and good discounts. I was further along at the time so bought cot mattress, grow egg etc

Yvonne1988 · 13/08/2019 13:32

Aw gutted my booking appointment got cancelled tomorrow. It's now next Friday. But on the plus side the kids will be back in school and I don't have to go to work that day!

NouranF · 13/08/2019 13:34

Hi all,

Hope I'm not too late to join! This groups seems amazing and you're all so supportive I've decided I definitely need to be on here.
Congrats to all the pregnant women on here, and those scans you've posted look absolutely amazing!
So sorry for anyone going through a tough time, I hope everything turns out okay xx

I'm 11+6 weeks- 1st pregnancy, I've only had my booking appointment with St Thomas in London a few weeks ago and they gave me quite a scare as they didn't call me to give me my blood test results and I emailed and left voice mails and nada. Had to call the emergency line in the end to actually speak to someone, luckily everything was fine.

My first scan is on the 23rd, so I'll be 13+2 by then and I've been thinking of doing a private one just incase something is wrong, but I'm not sure as this is my first pregnancy and thank goodness I haven't had any bleeding so trying to stay positive.

Keyboard91 · 13/08/2019 14:19

@Disney1010 that’s positive - think I will book us on it. I kinda half know what I’m doing but my fiancé is clueless about all things baby so hoping he’ll gain some confidence from it and maybe we can snag some discounts! We are buying bits as we go so it spreads the cost.

@NouranF Welcome :) it’s a lovely group. Highly recommend a private scan if you can afford it. It’s reassured many on this thread! I’ve got one in a couple of weeks when I’ll be 10 weeks. Was going to do it earlier but had to have an NHS scan at 7 weeks due to bleeding so felt okay enough to wait a little longer.

I’m an awful bunny mum :( I went to clean them out today and the older one has something wrong with his eye. I tried to look but just a glimpse sent me into a heaving mess :( so he is out there with a poorly eye and I can’t even look at him now :( so he will have to go to the vets tomorrow with my fiancé and I won’t be able to go in and hold him as I’ll just puke on the vet. So feeling like an awful bunny mum :(

@keyboard91 we did the same to help spread the cost. It's also more exciting to buy bits along the way rather than all in one go!

threegreensheep · 13/08/2019 17:31

Hi all. Just found this 2nd thread finally. Anyone been into EPU/hospital with vomiting? Think I'm overreacting but I feel awful, nauseaus all day long and a bit faint, like I'm hungover, and vomiting maybe 4-8 times per day. I'm on cyclizine from GP but not touching the sides. Keeping some food down so it's not hyperemesis but ergh I'm just so drained I feel useless. Not being a great mum to my toddler either bless him. Just about coping at work. Don't know whether to just ride it out or go in and get seen. Sorry long post!

Yvonne1988 · 13/08/2019 17:41

Took myself off to bed at half 3 for a sleep. Still tired but feel better. My daughter is so good I can't wait for her to know and be involved. She just gets on with it. I still feel guilty but I needed that.

JemmaT12 · 13/08/2019 17:59

Hello again all!
I've been super quiet but reading all the goings on. My sickness this time has taken over my life, completely useless to my family currently 🙈😂
