My nausea is getting worse I think. I pretty much have it all day but generally I'm ok first thing as long as I eat. I did find eating every two hours or so helped but not so sure now. I don't fancy anything all or the odd thing I do fancy I'm then put off when I get it. And the actual sickness ha started now too, only once a day or so but I find mine is a lot worse around afternoon/dinner time. I don't think I've had a proper meal in days.

I can tell I'm hungry as I've been having hunger pains, some quite bad but so hard when you don't fancy anything at all and feel sick!

That sounds tough @threegreensheep mine isn't on that level thankfully but hope you get some relief soon xx

threegreensheep · 13/08/2019 18:23

@ineedaholiday yes I find eating regularly helps, even though I never feel hungry, just more sick! Just had a bagel with marmite and it's taken the edge off a bit.

Jesskir89 · 13/08/2019 18:30

@Keyboard91 I didn't think so but just wanted it check thank you :) @NouranF welcome very active and supportive group :) @JemmaT12 you have been quiet lol sorry you're not feeling well.

Jesskir89 · 13/08/2019 18:31

@threegreensheep sorry to hear that. You might have acute morning sickness can you speak to your midwife?

SLT90 · 13/08/2019 18:44

@threegreensheep
I don't know how you cope at work with the vomiting several times a day! I would have been tempted to get a sick line! Definitely ask for advice.

I had got into quite a good pattern of regular eating at work which has kept the nausea under control the last week, but today has been a nightmare even though I've eaten well. I think it's because I had an early dinner last night so the gap between dinner and breakfast this morning was too big 😣 either that or some serious developing is happening in the womb today! Haha

Started using Palmers this morning in an early effort to prevent stretch marks and the smell has clung to me all day and made me feel sick even though I usually think the smell of it is quite nice 😂 may put it on at night instead from now on!!

MunchyMunchkin · 13/08/2019 19:15

@threegreensheep please go and be reviewed if you are struggling. Lots of other great drugs to take on top of or instead of cyclising. Has someone checked your wee to see how dehydrated you are?

krp14 · 13/08/2019 20:10

Hi guys! Thought I’d join in.
If my calculations are right I’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow (first 👶🏽). Decided to book a private scan for tomorrow as I’m driving myself mad thinking about things, anyone else just worry about every little feeling (or every feeling that disappears)? Got my booking appointment ext Wednesday. Just feel like the last month has dragged on so much!

threegreensheep · 13/08/2019 20:19

@munchymunchkin no not dipped my wee, might do it tomorrow, but I'm keeping stuff down most of the time so wouldn't need an IV. I know, I really want ondasatron as most women say that really works but it's expensive so I know the GP is unlikely to prescribe it. Might go back to the GP this week and ask to try Stemetil or something else though. Thanks

Jesskir89 · 13/08/2019 20:58

@krp14 welcome and congrats :) you're 2 days ahead of me. And yes I think we've all over worried on here but it's only natural x

barnyb · 13/08/2019 21:06

Hello all new ladies !
Quick question to all. Are you feel ugly and fat? Greasy and hideous?

that's exactly how I feel every time I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror it's horrifying! Iv got a little bump now which is nice but still could just pass it off as a little beer belly or something !!

also I had two servings of lunch today and then two servings of dinner !

one serving just isn't enough for me apparently
😫😫😫😫😫😫

barnyb · 13/08/2019 21:10

Also can anyone tell me about the bath temperature they have been having ?
I just had a fairly warm bath but it was very shallow. Doesn't cover my belly and my head and shoulders out the bath too. it the warmest iv had it but again it was shallow and my whole body was not submerged. But now I'm a bit worried that maybe it was a bit too warm?

MunchyMunchkin · 13/08/2019 21:16

@barnyb not lots of evidence to do with bath temp (and hot tubs). As long as it’s not screaming hot then I really wouldn’t worry.

@threegreensheep ondansetron is in the guideline (for at least a short trial). Worth going armed with the nice nausea and vomiting in pregnancy guidance. Plenty of gps won’t have seen it as they have so much to keep up with.

krp14 · 13/08/2019 21:25

@barnyb definitely 😂 not put a single pound on but feel triple the size thanks to bloat!

@jesskir89 Aw yey! It’s a right nuisance, just want to relax!

Disney1010 · 13/08/2019 21:26

@barnyb I know 38° is okay as that's the temp of a hydropool / birthing pool. As long as it's not too hot - saunas/hot tubs are a no as they are too hot and can cause you to overheat and therefore harm to the baby.

MunchyMunchkin · 14/08/2019 07:16

Here’s the science @barnyb
www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2018/03/01/pregnant-women-can-enjoy-hot-baths-saunas-without-risk-says/amp/
Hot tub and hot bath away!

oksim · 14/08/2019 07:29

@threegreensheep go get ondansetron. The cyclizine didn't work at all for me, I went back to my GP who said eat little and often and try ginger things (I heaved and left in tears), so took myself to A&E I was seen given loads of sympathy and given ondansetron to take home. It's brilliant! Makes such a difference.
Xx

Naylor19 · 14/08/2019 07:38

Hey guys I've been off here since Monday as I've felt so rotten, morning sickness has kicked in big time. Excited to see the little baba again today though, my last "extra" scan I think, all being well. Can't wait for hubby to see the heartbeat Smile I'm hoping my morning sickness calms for my holiday on Sunday, we've pre booked our seats on the plane so I'm near the bathroom! Has anyone got any baby safe remedies to help with the sickness? I'm debating ringing the doctor and asking Blush x

blondie87 · 14/08/2019 07:38

Welcome to all the new ladies! Oh some of you seem like you’re really suffering- I hope you get some relief soon!

I’m so nervous about my scan this morning. By my dates I’m 11w so hoping that’s what they see along with a heartbeat. Having to go on my own due to childcare & moving so hoping it’s all good news!

Jesskir89 · 14/08/2019 08:36

@blondie87 and @Naylor19 good luck for your scans ladies :) @barnyb I have a bath usually Fridays and Saturdays and I have it quite hot just not as hot as usual and have done for the last 5 weeks :)

ELW85 · 14/08/2019 08:49

@krp14 - welcome! I feel exactly the same. Nausea kicked in loads between wk6-7 but it’s not been as bad this week and I’m feeling nervous about it. Good luck for your scan today!

@Naylor19 @blondie87 - good luck for your scans today!

ineedanotherholiday · 14/08/2019 08:59

Good luck for your scans today!

Jesskir89 · 14/08/2019 09:32

@krp14 sorry I missed you off! Good luck for today

DerbyshireGirly · 14/08/2019 09:48

Spent all of yesterday worrying why my fatigue and nausea had eased off...wish I'd enjoyed the respite as it's back with a vengeance today. Can't even drink ginger beer to soothe it anymore as I've gone all Pavlovian and just associate it with feeling sick now. Whinge whinge whinge!!

ttc19 · 14/08/2019 10:05

@DerbyshireGirly I'm the same today.. maybe I'll try and enjoy feeling a bit better! It's worrying though isn't it when you go from feeling horrendous to pretty much fine in the space of a day!

DerbyshireGirly · 14/08/2019 11:13

@ttc19 It is! But glad to hear it's not just me, hopefully that means it's normal. I keep giving my boobs a sly poke to check whether they're still sore. Hopefully I'm being subtle Smile
