@jesskir congratulations huni brilliant news xx

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 16:46

@Jesskir89 that's great news, I'm so happy for you! What a lovely little scan too xx

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 16:49

@Jesskir89 how long are your cycles usually if you don't mind me asking Jess? Are you usually pretty regular? I feel a bit deflated as your last period was the same as mine, but mine can vary from 14-35 days!! Hence one of the reasons I was put on clomid for fertility xx

Dinosauraddict · 09/08/2019 17:11

I have been at work all day and just checked in. I'm so, so pleased for you @Keyboard91 - I nearly cried when I read your update. And @barnyb and @Jesskir89 your scans are fab - congratulations!
I'm quite excited because I'm heading to see my family this weekend and will finally fell my DF and DGM that I'm pregnant. They will be so excited!

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 17:11

@Brandygirl27 thank you :) @Naylor19 this is the thing as I was on chlomid they were only about 26 days and I think you do ovulate earlier on chlomid too as the tablets stimulate your ovulation. I'm feeling very positive for you :) plus am I right that I'm technically 6 weeks pregnant because the first 2 weeks don't actually count do they?

Yvonne1988 · 09/08/2019 17:29

@jesskir89 aw! We're close then I'm 8 tomorrow according to last scan. Mine was sat right in the corner apparently. Didn't get a photo

@keyboard91 yay for you too. The bleeding us so frustrating. I fully expect to keep getting it for no reason. But as long as it stays as it has been I'll be ok for the next 5 weeks I think

barnyb · 09/08/2019 17:42

@Dinosauraddict thank youuuuuuu! So pleased. Little monkey making me feel sick now though!

Disney1010 · 09/08/2019 17:43

@Jesskir89 the doctors/midwives date you from the day your last period started, so those two weeks do count in their view.

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 17:49

@Jesskir89 oh were you, didn't realise you were on it too :) I dunno it's so confusing isn't it! If I count back to my last period I should be 7+5 but from suspected ovulation 5+6. So I dunno how it works as they said I was roughly 5+4 on Wednesday. Did they tell you how big your CLR was for the baby? xx

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 17:55

@Yvonne1988 brilliant we can have a race nearer the time then haha. @Disney1010 I thought I had read that somewhere as I was on my period 8 weeks ago nearly lol and @Naylor19 if you were on chlomid there's a chance of twins which are smaller anyway! They said I was high risk of twins today as I ovulated from both left and right ovaries and the follicles were both realising eggs but she said she could only see one x

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 17:59

@Jesskir89 yeah they could only see one at my scan too, but I released eggs from both too! My mum had twins and my husbands dad was a twin also Blush I'm confused now if they meant that I was measuring 5+4 or if I was measuring 3+4 with that 2 week added... which would be wrong.. I guess time will tell x

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 18:11

@Naylor19 only a few days to wait now. Try and enjoy the wedding and stay optimistic and that it may be 2! :)

Keyboard91 · 09/08/2019 18:11

@Brandygirl27 I’m hoping it means I sleep a little better tonight as am definitely feeling less stressed 🤞

Thank you @Dinosauraddict I hope it goes okay this weekend! I’m seeing my brothers/parents/sister tomorrow so will probably tell them, especially now I know it’s going as it should so far, as they are my close family.

@Yvonne1988 did they give you any reason for the bleeding? It’s horrible when you see it staring back at you :(

@Naylor19 anything they say you are measuring at when they scan etc includes those 2 weeks. It standardises things so less confusion :)

SLT90 · 09/08/2019 18:16

Great news about all those scans today everyone 😊😊😊 glad it's all going ok so far.

All that talk about mashed potato has made me really want it! Haven't had any in a few weeks and I know it would go down so well. Does anyone else feel like they are doing nothing but eat at the moment? My stomach is rumbling madly all the time 😂😂 Gearing up for my first weekend of napping and staying in the house since pregnancy.

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 18:23

@Jesskir89 yes not long now really, just so hard not knowing! I need to stop googling driving myself insane lol x

@Keyboard91 oh really, that's useful to know but makes me think I should possibly expect the worse in that case. As I got a positive test 12th July so I should be more than 5+5 or it wouldn't tally right I don't think :(

Keyboard91 · 09/08/2019 18:32

@Naylor19 how far along did you think you were (by period) when they scanned you? Was it because of pain or bleeding or a private scan? When will they re scan you? Xx

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 18:38

@SLT90 I'm with you! Everyone else seems to have gone off food but I can't stop eating!!! @Naylor19 we got our bfp on the same day too! I'm betting it's twins me x

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 18:51

@Keyboard91 I thought I was 6+4 when they scanned me first time, there was fetal pole and sac ect measuring 1.8mm they said under 6 weeks. Rebooked scan following Wednesday where she didn't have a&e notes and said I was measuring under 6 still and was 2.5mm fetal pole. I got early scan as under fertility clinic and had bad tummy pains but no bleeding. She booked me in for final scan next Wednesday to see if heartbeat or any growth. If not she said I'd have to have surgery or tablets to remove it :( x

@Jesskir89 could you imagine! I'd be happy with any healthy babies! x

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 19:36

@Naylor19 after my first scan they said I had to wait at least 2 weeks for another. I would get a second opinion before taking any tablets if it does come to that x

Naylor19 · 09/08/2019 19:39

@Jesskir89 yeah I think I would do, especially if it's shown growth again. And I read somewhere that under 5mm wouldn't show a heartbeat yet anyway so if there going off that when I'm currently 2.5mm then it's no wonder they can't see one x

Yvonne1988 · 09/08/2019 19:43

@keyboard91 no nothing. Couldn't see anything wrong inside. Said it could be irritation on the cervix with all the extra blood flow or anything just something that happens. Said if it continues they can check it out

Yvonne1988 · 09/08/2019 19:46

@jesskir89 I'm still trying not to get myself too attached yet. Still early. Not negative just wanting to be prepared. But once I make it to my 12 week scan it's on lol

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 20:19

@Naylor19 I don't even know what I measured at today she didn't say.... No bleeding or pain so I'm sure you're just a little earlier like me the other week. @yvonne1988 stay positive, the consultant told me today I now have a 95 percent chance of a successful pregnancy. I felt like a weight had been lifted x

Yvonne1988 · 09/08/2019 20:25

@jesskir89 they never said anything like that to me but I have read that online

Jesskir89 · 09/08/2019 21:00

@yvonne1988 at my hospital you see a consultant after your scan in the early days but yes I've also read after 6 weeks the chance of MC goes down to 5 percent x
