And so ready to have their baby??!!

I have my sweep booked in and I'm convinced I'll be overdue! I just don't want to be pregnant for 1 more week let alone 2!

@Lorrie3 fingers crossed things start moving for us soon!

@Furble I feel really sick and just exhausted. I'm normally starving but was a struggle getting any food in me today. Just not feeling myself at all. No pain though so probably nothing.

RiverMeadow · 27/05/2019 12:41

@Furble yeah we came home the same day. Really quick. We're both really well, he's feeding well. I'm not sleeping much but I think it's just until my body settles down.

How are you both? Xx

Did any of you ladies suffer with the sharp pains in the run up to labour? I've been having these for weeks now but they are getting worse and worse. I've had constant stabbing pains for the last two hours now, in tears they've been so bad. No contractions though!

Lorrie3 · 27/05/2019 14:16

@furble yup sweep number 1 on Wednesday coming when I will be 41 weeks so I really hope that moves something.

I'm also getting the sharp pains and Loads and loads of BH.. Strong ones that almost convince me its the real deal but nothing.

The baby was super super active all night last night way more so than usual so hopefully that's a good sign

RiverMeadow · 27/05/2019 14:31

@Lorrie3 @cja06 Sharp shooting pains down below? I was getting these for a while also.

My contractions this time were all in my butt and veejay. Last time I had the usual stomach period contractions but not this time! I had a sweep after my waters broke and the baby was born 5 hours later, unsure if that would've happened anyway even without the sweep?

Good luck, keep us posted!

@RiverMeadow yeah sharp pains down below. Literally had them solidly for two hours. Now on the birthing ball and they've calmed down phew

DoingItForTheKids · 27/05/2019 22:14

Yay for all the new, safe arrivals. Hope you are all enjoying the snuffly loveliness.

I've been crampy all day today (usually only been getting it at night) but still nothing....

Husband now can't take time out until next week so I need to keep this baby in till the weekend. I'm sure my body knowing that will now make the baby come ASAP 😂

Nuttyaboutnutella · 28/05/2019 09:01

Baby girl arrived at 7.30pm yesterday, 6.5lbs 😍

cja06 · 28/05/2019 09:10

Congratulations @Nuttyaboutnutella hope you're feeling well and enjoying your new little bundle.

Furble · 28/05/2019 10:32

@NuttyaboutNutella
Huge congratulations to you and your daughter. Hope you are both doing ok and recovering a bit already!

Furble · 29/05/2019 05:55

Any new babies make their arrival overnight last night? Fingers crossed for those of you waiting that it won’t be long now.

How are all the new mums doing? We’re still in hospital with our boy unfortunately (born 3am Sunday) as the doctors are concerned about his sodium so he’s had a course of restricted feeding to try and rule out some more scary issues (now ruled out). Waiting on more blood tests but hoping today might be the day we can come home!

cja06 · 29/05/2019 07:51

@Furble not for me. I have finally got my sweep today though so hoping that gets things moving :)

Tayel · 29/05/2019 08:03

Im still pregnant :( im 40+5 and have a sweep booked in this morning so im hoping that will bring labour on!

Enjoy your babies ladies x

cja06 · 29/05/2019 08:11

@Tayel looks like we're both in the same boat and were due on the same day. Hope your sweep goes well

Furble · 29/05/2019 08:20

@cja06 and @Tayel

Good luck to both of you for your sweeps this morning, hopefully you’ll be having contractions by the end of the day! 🤞🤞

cowchickenduckdog · 29/05/2019 09:53

I’m still waiting too 😫 I’m 40 + 3 now and very uncomfortable but with no indications of anything happening. I’m not booked in for a sweep at all. My midwife on Monday just kept going on about working on a bank holiday...I’m in with the hospital midwife next Monday so hopefully they’ll have some ideas then if I haven’t given birth already.
Congratulations to all of you currently cuddling your little’uns!! Hope to join your club soon!!! Xxx

Lorrie3 · 29/05/2019 11:19

Still here too 😭 pretty uncomfortable at this point but at the hospital waiting for my sweep Appointment so with you @cja06 and @Tayel

cja06 · 29/05/2019 11:28

Hope it goes well for you @Lorrie3

Tayel · 29/05/2019 12:32

Well that was uncomfortable!
Was only 1cm dilated but atleast she was able to sweep me! I have been booked in for induction on 3rd June if I dont go into labour before then.
Ive got a small bit of bleeding a bit of crampy pain x

Lorrie3 · 29/05/2019 13:34

@tayel I didn't find it too bad but my midwife is excellent! Had bleeding and cramping too tho.. Fingers crossed it does something for us

cja06 · 29/05/2019 17:54

I've just come back from my apt... sweep went well but midwife was shocked to find I'm already 5cm dilated! Hopefully it means not much longer for me now.

Lorrie3 · 29/05/2019 18:02

That's amazing @cja06 well done... I was hoping for something similar but she just said the cervix was open!!

VaselineHero · 29/05/2019 18:06

When they do a sweep, do they literally just poke a finger inside? I've got one tmrw and not looking forward to it at all.

cja06 · 29/05/2019 18:46

Thank you @Lorrie3 :)

@VaselineHero yes they insert a finger into your cervix and then sweep around inside. I think discomfort varies from each person and depends on how ready your body is. I literally didn't feel a thing when I had mine done today

DoingItForTheKids · 29/05/2019 20:25

Still waiting 😏

2 days over now. Declined a sweep on Monday. Will see how the next few days go!

Apart from reflux I'm still feeling ok although today was the first day I've felt the need to waddle a bit!
