Anyone else 39 weeks?

And so ready to have their baby??!!

I have my sweep booked in and I'm convinced I'll be overdue! I just don't want to be pregnant for 1 more week let alone 2!

Any clue it was about to happen before it did?

I'm currently 39 + 3 and feeling very uncomfortable now. Constant BHs along with a nightly dose of fanny daggers haha. Really hoping midwife will give me a sweep on Weds so we can get this party started!

@Furble No, I suspect it didn't all come away and now there's nothing coming away at all and I've had no pains or anything

I just want it to happen!

Also still here. I rung triage last night as baby's movements suddenly got very, very erratic/frantic for a few hours. The baby was jumping on my nerve so had a constant pain in my lower back like someone was stabbing at me with a white hot poker. Oh and the fanny daggers were intense. I was practically in tears. Anyway, rung the midwifery triage as the movements were very unusual and was a little concerned, but naturally by the time they rung back, baby had calmed down so they just said keep an eye. DP was downstairs watching GoT, heard me on the phone and thought labour had started so ran up in a panic eventually got to sleep around 2ish. Managed to have a nap today when DS did.

Baby has been even lower again today and I'm so uncomfortable. Any movement, sneeze , cough, etc is causing pressure on my cervix. It's unpleasant 😩 been so grouchy with everyone and snapped at DP all weekend to leave me alone 🙈 he's brilliant though and letting it go over his head.

3 more days until my sweep!

It’s my due date today! I think a couple of others on the thread also have their due date today as well!
Had a couple of hours of painful BH in the night but they petered out and I went back to sleep, I feel like I’m approaching early labour but still a bit of a way off. Hopeful that the sweep tomorrow might work.

@Furble I'm having my baby now! Was 9cm the last time they checked so baby will almost certainly be born on due date :)

It started as painful BHs that gradually started coming every 5-10 mins. Was in quite a bit of pain so went to get checked and my cervix was completely closed. The examination ramped up contractions and 2.5 hours later I was 4cm and my waters had broken. Fingers crossed if you have to wait for your sweep, it will send you into labour quickly! (Or hope it comes before then)

@oliviat93 We both have sweeps today I think! Fingers crossed they are uncomfortable rather than painful and that they do the trick! I had one last time when I was in early labour but I can barely remember how it felt. It worked though!

@Furble good luck with your sweep! My usual midwife isn't around this week so having to go to the hospital for mine today and my appointment isn't til 5.30pm! Lots of waiting around today.. hopefully it'll help move things along for the both of us :)

Due date today and had MW apt.. But no sweep😭 they won't do them here until 7 days over. 3/5 engaged.. Not sure how significant that is!

@Lorrie3 Happy due date Mum! Sorry to hear you have to wait for 41 weeks for a sweep, fingers crossed you won’t be waiting that long. 🤞

Had my sweep. Not at all painful. Apparently my cervix is still quite posterior and I’m only just 1cm dilated so the midwife thinks I might be in for a wait yet. I’ve got another one booked for Friday.

@oliviat93 Good luck for your sweep. I hope you’re already very effaced and dilated and it tips you over the edge into labour!

I'm still here too. Was really hoping for a sweep today but my midwife said she won't do one until 40 weeks. Bit annoying as that's in 2 days when they don't offer a clinic... will have to wait until next week.

Fingers crossed something will happen soon though.

I just really hope I don't have to be induced! I'm sick of being in pain but it being for no reason too!

I am feeling twingey after the sweep yesterday but had a really peaceful nights sleep so think it might be a while yet. I’m going for a long walk today! 40+2

@cja06 Sorry to hear that the midwife wouldn’t give you a sweep. It’s the same where I am, nothing before 40 weeks, v annoying. Hope things get moving for you v shortly.

@RiverMeadow Ah gotcha. Glad you’ve not got long to wait now. Yes I’ve got another sweep booked in for tomorrow and then induction booked for Tuesday (I can only go to 41 weeks as a VBAC unfortunately). I’m really scared of induction I have to admit, really hoping I go spontaneously before then! 🤞

Hi all, how is everyone today?

Today is my due date! Midwife is coming out today to give me a sweep but no idea what time. My 2 year old is full of energy so stuck inside with my little whirlwind is going to be fun. I dread to think what state my house will be in by the end of the day 🙈 fun times!

Hi all, I am hoping all the sweeps will work and all the babies are here before next week!! @Furbles, 2 of the ladies in my prenatal classes had inductions in the last few weeks and their births were a million times better than my spontaneous one! So don't fear induction :)

I had my baby on Tuesday, but we had quite a few complications in the end - had to have forceps after pushing for hours and both me and baby got an infection during labour. It's been a tough few days!

tinykittie congratulations! Sorry to hear about the complications but hopefully you're both on the mend now :) did you have a boy or girl?

@Furble had my sweep but she said my cervix was closed so not as successful as I would of liked :( seeing my midwife next week so I can have another one then if I like.
I did have a few twinges afterwards yesterday so hopefully it'll get things moving in the right direction.
I'm with you on the walk today also gonna today the house and make a nice spicy hot curry!

@cja06 that's a shame about the sweep. It's strange how different places offer them from different times. They're available from 38weeks with my trust. Hopefully it won't be too long for you!

@Furble I can also only go to 41 weeks and I'm so petrified of the induction drip! I'm also trying to stay mobile which is so hard as I have PGP and feel like shit. The only positive thing is that I know the maximum number of days left that I can be pregnant is 10!
