Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

@Thund4rcat Good they are helping you. If there is anything in specific that makes a good work againts HG, let me know, as my friend was actually saying today she would like to get pregnant again but only if there is something really helping with that.

SurvivingCBeebies · 01/05/2019 18:18

Hi all... mind if I jump on your bus??

Just got a positive test..!! From LMP, should be a 31 Dec baby, so in for an interesting new year...

gwenneh · 02/05/2019 11:14

@Thund4rcat are you feeling any better today?

pitterpatterbaby · 02/05/2019 22:32

Can I have a moan? I feel shocking. My arms and legs are heavy, I'm exhausted and feel nauseous all the time. I've not been sick but just nauseous. This is my 4th pregnancy I should be good with this but it's shocking. I just want to stay in bed all day and cry. I'm 40 and 7+6

Ferii · 03/05/2019 08:11

How you feeling today @Thund4rcat?

AcademicMom · 03/05/2019 18:22

Hi all, I was so happy to find this thread. I hope it is not too late to join! Hope everybody is feeling well and for those suffering from fatigue/exhaustion I want to share a potentially relatable story. I am 8 weeks pregnant and I was so tired in the morning that facing a single set of stairs I sat down and cried for 15 minutes before attempting to climb up...
If anybody feel like they want to share their daily struggles, I am happy to provide a sympathetic ear. @pitterpatterbaby, were you able to rest up a bit?

fonxey · 03/05/2019 18:39

Welcome @AcademicMom

I feel guilty. I don't have any real nausea worth complaining about or tiredness. I feel like a freak.

fonxey · 03/05/2019 18:40

Not a freak, a fraud!

AcademicMom · 03/05/2019 18:50

Thank you for the warm welcome @fonxey! This is my first pregnancy, but from what I read/was told by other parents the sense of guilt is the permanent backdrop for the whole parenthood as is. Definitely no need to feel bad about not feeling bad :)

Kiki061190 · 03/05/2019 19:26

Hi ladies! Wee update! I had an 8+2 scan today and unfortunately both babies that were detected 2 weeks ago had died this week. They were measuring at 7+6 but no heartbeat so a bit emotional for myself and my partner. It just wasn’t our time! Waiting for the hospital to contact me to go in and arrange to take the medicine to start the process. I hope you all have fantastic pregnancies and hopefully I’ll be back with a healthy pregnancy when it is meant to be x

December2018 · 03/05/2019 19:35

@Kiki061190 ohh I'm so so sorry 💐 I have no words, I'm sending you a handhold and if you ever need to talk I'm always here xxx

Sianii · 03/05/2019 19:44

Had the midwife appointment Thursday was interesting to find out they don't do paper files anymore and all notes are put on an app instead. Well i’m already loving the app because it instantly told me when my 12 week scan is booked, which is the 22nd May. Which now feels so close and yet so far.

Its nerve wracking especially seeing the sad posts on here. My deepest sympathies are with you all, and my fingers are crossed for you in the future!

Shelbybear · 03/05/2019 21:18

@Kiki061190 I'm so sorry. U must be in shock, such sad news for you.

Ferii · 04/05/2019 06:44

@Kiki061190 Oh I'm so sorry to hear that, sending lots of hugs, that must be so tough. I hope you're able to take some time off to focus on yourselves.

@AcademicMom Love, LOVE your story, I lol'd so hard I had to tell my DH - I've had a difficult day so it really cheered me up.

ducksandacorns · 04/05/2019 07:15

@Kiki061190 so sorry to read your sad news. Look after yourself Thanks

fonxey · 04/05/2019 07:57

So sorry @Kiki061190 I hope you are having some quiet recovery and my thoughts are with you.

I've booked an early private scan for when i get back from holiday when I'll be 9 weeks. So probably won't have long to wait until my free nhs scan bit I'm impatient. Probably should have waited until i got my scan appt... But as i said i was having a fit of impatience and worry.

I'm excited and nervous and kinda in disbelief. Will be good for my oh i think to see something. He hasn't got his head around it yet, despite it being planned.

IHD83 · 04/05/2019 09:39

@Kiki061190 So sorry to hear that. Hope you get lots of love and support from your family. Sending big hugs to you ❤️

I’m feeling really really exhausted these days. Every morning I woke up with uncomfortable pain in my lower back and feel I don’t want to do anything the rest of the day (besides taking care of my baby, which takes me the little energy I have left)

Pip231018 · 04/05/2019 09:59

@IHD83 I feel the same. I feel like I could cry because I'm so tired. I've woke up and want to go straight back to bed. Really bad lower back pain, fluttering feels in my overies and I've had some brown discharge/spotting this morning. Really want to spend the day in bed but it's not an option.
Hope you manage to get a nap. X

agteacht · 04/05/2019 13:18

So so sorry @Kiki061190
Take care of yourself

IHD83 · 04/05/2019 15:42

@Pip231018 omg yes, I could spend the whole day in bed too. It is difficult to have naps, I tried to do it sometimes when my baby sleeps but by the time I start falling sleep, he wakes up...😫
At least I could manage to get more hours of sleep this night because my OH slept with our little one and I went to another room, but still feeling tired 🤦‍♀️

fonxey · 04/05/2019 22:22

Oh dear we are in Switzerland for 10 days. Lots of hiking. I don't feel tired generally but i think i just get tired generally and i spent today picking up and lugging a suitcase too much. It's heavy as due to the weather i decided to pack my entire wardrobe, none of which actually fit me anymore due to this bloating. I look 7 months pregnant not 7 weeks!

Hope I'll be able to enjoy myself. I feel slightly uncomfortable normally. I need maternity clothes i think.

Hope you are all feeling better! Have you found any coping mechanisms?

pitterpatterbaby · 04/05/2019 22:51

@AcademicMom sound like we are feeling the same. No chance of rest around here though I've got 3 other children and the youngest is a very lively 3 year old! My edd is 14/12 so we must be within a few days of each other? Are you on the f book group?

badfurday · 05/05/2019 09:19

Hey all.
Had a private scan yesterday and all is fine with baby badfurday. I'm actually measuring a bit ahead but was told not to take it as gospel until my 12 weeks scan in a few weeks time. Have my booking appointment on Tuesday. All feels very real now.

Pip231018 · 05/05/2019 09:23

@badfurday I'm so pleased for you. What were you measuring at? X

badfurday · 05/05/2019 09:49

I thought I was 8+6 but was measured at 9+4. Just glad all is ok for the moment. 😊
