Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

Oh, another thing I like eating now and makes me feel ok is fresh fruit like pineapple, watermelon, strawberries...so that’s not bad at least! 🙂

Ail88 · 26/04/2019 19:13

@IHD83 I've had on and off itchy boobs. No sickness or neauesa yet fingers crossed

Shelbybear · 26/04/2019 19:35

@IHD83 I've got itchy boobs lol mainly my nipples. They haven't been sore at all. I totally don't feel slightly pregnant just rather tiered and more hungry than usual.

Got my midwife appointment, yeah! It's a work day and in the middle of the day so I'll need try and change it to either early morning or late afternoon. I'll be over 9 weeks when I get seen. Says it will be an hour so I'm better doing it on a work day as my girl has nursery/sitter. I'll need to tell work 😒but either that or take my girl with me and she will not sit nice for an hour! I just don't feel like telling them yet. Still seems too early.

Emmilou82 · 26/04/2019 20:03

@IHD83 I'm enjoying pineapple at the minute. It's refreshing but gives me chronic heartburn Sad

BirdIsland · 26/04/2019 20:39

@December2018 I'm really thirsty all the time, which then means I constantly need the loo! Vicious circle.

I also have constant low level nausea which is kind of irritating but could be much worse I suppose. DP bought me a bottle of full fat Pepsi earlier which I didn't know I wanted until he turned up with it, pretty much best gift ever, made me feel instantly much better.

funkybum · 26/04/2019 21:38

Also having food aversions over here. Was sick looking at the kids baked beans earlier!

4andAbit · 26/04/2019 21:50

Hi girls..

I am due December 20th... but iv had brown spotting.. has any one else experienced this?

Enwi · 26/04/2019 22:20

Yes Facebook group is set up! It’s secret so cannot be found. If you email me at [email protected] I can add you to it Smile

Ferii · 27/04/2019 07:28

@Enwi Great, I've emailed you, thanks

mininionsteve · 27/04/2019 08:54

@4andAbit I had the tiniest amount of brown spotting last night. I'm totally freaked out now! After the discomfort in the day I'm going back to the Drs first thing to see if I can get an early scan. This part is so hard having to just wait and have faith isn't it!

Enwi · 27/04/2019 08:57

@IHD83
You have perfectly explained my food aversions both this pregnancy and last. Usually I really enjoy salad, roasted veg, big vegan chillis etc but the second I get a positive test I just can’t stand anything that looks remotely healthy, with the exception of fruit.
Last pregnancy I survived off salt and vinegar crisps, fresh fruit and crackers until I was about 16 weeks. I lost a lot of weight!

Kiki061190 · 27/04/2019 09:09

@4andAbit yes! I had brown spotting for a couple of days when I was about 4/4 and a half weeks. Called the midwife and they weren’t concerned. I haven’t had any since!

IHD83 · 27/04/2019 09:27

@Enwi I sent you an email

leomama81 · 27/04/2019 11:13

Does anyone have any recommendations about places to go for early scans in London? I've decided to shell out as I'm just so anxious and just want to know it's in there and doing ok! (I reckon having given up wine will cover the cost ☺️)

Winter2019 · 27/04/2019 11:23

Hi ladies!
Congratulations to all!
I need your opinion...I got positive preg test yesterday after my period has been late for 7 days however me and DH has not had sex since beginning of march...and my 21st march period seemed fine.. so how many weeks could I be? I'm so confused as this is my 3rd pregnancy and with first 2 as soon as I got pregnant I didn't have any bleeding at all.

IHD83 · 27/04/2019 11:49

@leomama81 Last year I went to The Birth Company in Regent’s Park to get an early scan when I was 8 weeks. The gave us pictures and a video of our little bean where we could see his heart beating, and they told us everything looked good and low risk of miscarriage, which was good to know.

leomama81 · 27/04/2019 13:11

Thank you @IHD83!

bobble53 · 27/04/2019 14:13

I’m 9 weeks tomorrow and had awful period like pains today! Anybody else had this? Google says it’s evrrything stretching, I just wish it was different to period pains!!

Winter2019 · 27/04/2019 14:26

I got pains like that, like my period is about to start however as I mentioned before I don't know how many weeks I am

1990carey · 27/04/2019 15:10

@bobble53 yah I get them on and off. I'm 8+5 today and some days the period pains are worse than others, not really bad just a slight ache and I just keep my belly warm and it goes away. If it gets too painful and you start bleeding that's when to keep go see someone.

Ail88 · 27/04/2019 15:24

@Enwi emailed you earlier. I had to ring doc yesterday as was worried about spotting and cramps. Got told that if either got worse in 24-48 hours to ring 111. Anyone know how long spotting is meant to last?

Verity1989 · 27/04/2019 17:04

I just had an early pregnancy scan done. I'm 6 weeks 4 days, (I thought I was 6 weeks and 2) measuring at 6.8mm! The heart beat was so strong and visible. A clear realisation that I have a tiny being growing inside me! It's mad isn't it?!

@BirdIsland I've been having constant nausea and bought myself some travel sickness bands on amazon. They've worked wonders, I've had them on for two days so far and I still feel the tiniest bit sick every now and then but nothing like before. Only problem is, I'm now too scared to take them off!

MamaGeordie · 27/04/2019 19:04

@Enwi I've also send you an email for the Facebook group. I really struggle to keep up with how quickly these pages move so hopefully that will be easier Smile

At 4+6 I'm feeling a tad more confident about this pregnancy after a miscarriage a little while back, still unbelievably anxious though.
