Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

To everyone that says they feel normal, for some people that is normal in pregnancy. My last pregnancy, I felt normal. If I wasn't trying and hadn't tested I'd never have known. I got sore boobs for a couple of days around 7 weeks. I never felt sick. I had brownish spotting around 8 weeks. I didn't have enough the slightest bit of a bump until about 20wks and didn't look remotely pregnant until about 6 months. Got bigger towards the end though.

This time I'm finding my back is more sore and I feel a lot more tiered (exhausted, I cld go to bed right now) but that cld be because I'm running around after a 2 yr old too! No sore boobs at all and I hope the sickness stays away!

IHD83 · 13/04/2019 18:58

@Shelbybear In my previous pregnancy I had sore boobs and some back pain and period pain. Never any bleeding/brown spotting.
This time I had again back pain and period pain, but nothing about sore boobs and no spotting either. I feel quite tired the whole day since morning (maybe more tired than previous pregnancy) and could also be because of taking care of a baby.

Shelbybear · 13/04/2019 19:35

@IHD83 Yeah I think it's going to be really hard as we get bigger and even more tiered n heavy 🙈😂 Toddlers just have an endless energy!

1990carey · 13/04/2019 19:52

Haha my boyfriend has a very active 4 year old so God knows how I'm gonna cope with him when I'm huge! I'm having trouble already trying to keep him from climbing and bouncing on me lol!

lordofthefries · 13/04/2019 19:58

I’m watching the in for a penny thing with Stephen Mulhern, and am absolutely sobbing st the woman who cried when she won a grand. My emotions are definitely all over the place at the minute

LetsDoThisAgain · 13/04/2019 22:47

@HS31

Sorry for your loss. Flowers

I thought they could easily tell if a baby was ectopic with a scan? Ovarian cysts are fairly common, I've had them before and they resolved on their own. It is possible the cyst is a side effect of the miscarriage. Hopefully your doctor can shed more light on the situation for you.

HS31 · 14/04/2019 06:42

Thanks for reply letsdothisagain!!
I'm off to hospital this morning for blood results so hopefully they can tell me more about what has happened. I thought ectopic pregnancy would be known by now but they couldn't see my ovary so possible ovarian pregnancy and maybe cyst is covering it? The cyst is very big they were very surprised I haven't been in pain. I'm so done in and just have this feeling they will need to operate I really hope not though. X

Pip231018 · 14/04/2019 07:33

@HS31 Goof luck at the hospital. Hopefully you can get some clarity. X

xoxhayleyxox · 14/04/2019 08:21

Thanks for all your support ladies. So basically I'm not pregnant anymore according to my hcg levels they were 75 friday and have decreased again. Also they have told me they think the mass is a dermoid cyst (think that's how you spell it) this is a rare growth which contains cells and possibly teeth hair etc. It's all very wierd tbh but I have heard about this before its possible I have always had it and it's just kept getting bigger. It could be the reason why the pregnancy didn't work out but all still answers I need to find. Will hear from hospital tomorrow. I guess we can grieve now for baby loss even if it wasn't a developed pregnancy as the miscarriage wasn't typical for 7 weeks ie no pain or cramps and only small clots nothing visible as an embryo. You are all probably thinking 'what the hell' about the mass they have found me too but I'm not going to Google it as will only freak me out. Just want it removed will have to wait though as won't be seen as an emergency. Xxx

Pip231018 · 14/04/2019 15:22

@HS31 Ah, I am so sorry. This happened to someone I know. You're not alone. It's not an easy message to hear and I'm so sorry it was not the outcome you were praying for.
Sending so many kind thoughts and love. X

xoxhayleyxox · 14/04/2019 15:26

@HS31 I'm so sorry 😔 sending love xxx

blondie87 · 14/04/2019 15:51

Very sorry to hear this. I hope you get the answers you need.

lordofthefries · 14/04/2019 16:54

@HS31 I’m so sorry

IHD83 · 14/04/2019 17:19

@HS31 I’m sorry for your loss. I know a friend that had the same cyst also with cells and hair and it wasn’t anything dangerous. It was in a different place of her body and they just removed it. It wasn’t an emergency either, so I would try to stay calm as much as you can. Big hugs xxx

HS31 · 14/04/2019 19:05

It's been a fair few weeks of turmoil firstly with a postive test all the emotions that comes with it then bleeding 4 days later to finding out i have had a miscarriage and now I've no got this crazy alien thing inside me. It's crazy to think of what we go through as woman but that's why we're warriors and stick together to pull each other through. It's reassuring to hear others have had the same dermoid cysts and doc phoned me to say that they are just waiting on one tumour marker to come back but so far the bloods are looking ok meaning I've nearly got the final answer I need with it being benign. I can cope of I have to have one ovary removed but god not my whole womb!! Thanks again everyone it's warming to hear feedback xxx

Peachyx2505 · 14/04/2019 19:54

Hopping in ladies.... just to offer some reassurance.

@HS31 I'm so sorry for your loss. I had 4 dermoids removed last year from my ovaries... they were probably there when I had DS1 6 years ago and didn't affect my pregnancy at all. They will send it to histology but please don't worry, it's very rare for them to be malignant. I lost one ovary, and my surgeon said she would do everything in her power to preserve my fertility, which she did.
They weren't going to remove mine to begin with, but as soon as I knew they were there I had pain. It was probably psychological but I played on this and the fact that I wasn't allowed to work (physical job risk of torsion). My consultant then agreed to operate and my op was less than two months after I found out I had them.

It's horrible to think it's inside you. When you're ready definitely research. I found it interesting and so reassuring. (Oh and btw, mine had a tooth 🤮).

Take care xxx

@HS31 sorry to hear this x

Bridie91 · 15/04/2019 00:41

Hey guys just joining in.

According to the apps I am due mid December and this will be my first. Will be six weeks on Thursday. I found out on the 6th April and clear blue estimated me at 1-2 weeks. I’ve been peeing on a stick every couple of days just to ensure hcg levels rising. Feel normal at the moment but pretty anxious as a lot of woman start experiencing morning sickness from 6 weeks.

My symptoms so far is just feeling really tired, needing to pee a lot, waking up early (which I didn’t know was a symptom until I read this blog) and my sensitivity to certain smells are starting to increase.

Like you guys really anxious to have a scan to confirm everything. My first midwife appt is at the beginning of May at 8 weeks was looking at getting a private 6 week scan but my partner is out of town this week.

Just feeling anxious at the moment but don’t know what else to do.

Besides my partner, Only told two of my friends one is currently pregnant. I also had chronic anaemia before I found out so super worried about my iron levels now that I’ve found out. Started taking prenatals from the 8th this month as it wasn’t planned.

Any advice or suggestions would be helpful

mum2DDB · 15/04/2019 01:57

Hi all!

Just found out on Friday 12th that I’m 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant. This will be baby number 3!
I’m want to be excited but too scared/ nervous to be excited- is this normal?!
OH is excited but we haven’t told anyone else

December2018 · 15/04/2019 05:55

@mum2DDB hey! This is my 2nd pregnancy and I'm scared too, mainly because my little boy will only be 12 months old when I have this little embryo haha

The more I think of it the more exited I get to see my little baby and watch him/her grow with my little boy, hopefully they will be best friends

I'm more anxious this time though because I know what to expect... I found out that pregnancy isn't all lovely baby kicks & maternity photos the hard way 😂

mypethip · 15/04/2019 08:14

Morning all. I am 6+1 today. My emotions are all over the place. Woke up in tears! I am a natural worrier so I think my lack of symptoms is unsettling me but we are also needing to move house so there is a lot going on. Feeling very guilty though because it was such a long road to pregnancy for us and I should be feeling happy!

mypethip · 15/04/2019 08:17

P. S, can anyone let me know how to mention specific posters when replying in the thread? I'd love to reply to specific points that people make but I haven't figured it out yet. I am using the android app.
