Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

My sense of smell has gone mad! The train home tonight was a nightmare I could smell everything gagging at someone's pasta salad and then someone that had been smoking. Couldn't wait to get off then I could smell paint terribly on the platform

Hi Ladies! I’ve been looking for a thread like this!

I’m 5 weeks +2 days pregnant with my first baby! Last week I had some very light brown discharge when I would have been due my period. Phoned the midwife and they said it’s not uncommon and if it doesn’t last then it’s usually ok! It went away after 2 days but it’s had my head in a spin! I took a test last Thursday that said 1-2 weeks pregnant and then on my 5th week exactly the test said 3+ weeks yet I can’t stop worrying because I don’t have any symptoms! Up until the discharge I had sore boobs, backache ect but now apart from tiredness I feel ok! Did any of you feel pretty normal at this stage?

@xoxhayleyxox Yes I've been having dizziness, it's like being drunk and the room spinning every time I move position. It comes and goes though and has been lessening the further along I get.

@Kiki061190 I'm the same. My boobs ache, especially in the morning. And I went to bed at 9.30 last night and got up at 7 and could still sleep for a week. It's normal apparently. If you are likely to get morning sickness it usually hits at week 6. I'm 5+5 and on my first. Let's keep each other posted on how we get on. X

Bit of a strange one but is anyone else having really vivid dreams? I've had three in the last week, two where I dreamt I had poo'd myself (sorry if tmi) and had to actually check when I woke up!! and then last night I was on a coach trip with the guy from celebrity juice and he was wiping toothpaste on my glasses!!! Not quite sure what it all means but makes for an interesting conversation in the morning. Think I'm 5weeks today and apart from the dreams just sore boobs and back ache. Hows everyone else?

@tri2mum I actually just laughed out loud at your celebrity juice dream! I haven’t been having the dreams yet but I have heard it’s a common symptom.

I’ve been having really vivid dreams, when I wake up I feel like it wasn’t a dream and it really happened. Im feeling really dizzy today too

Talked to DH last night about booking an early scan as I know there are mixed feelings on it but I really think it will help reassure me (and if something is wrong at this stage I would rather know sooner).
I know it’s not a guarantee that everything will be ok from then on, but I’m finding the wait for the 12 week scan difficult and think this will help. I’ll be just about 8 weeks by the time I have it.
Does anyone have any positive experiences of finding an early scan reassuring in this way? I feel a bit silly but hope it will help!

@Ferii ah glad I'm not the only one! I had to go back for bloods this morning anyway to check HCG levels and they don't my blood pressure which is all ok, just a lovely early pregnancy symptom! Hope it starts to ease soon cause it's driving me mad! 🤦🏽‍♀️

@tri2mum Haha that's hilarious! I have been having very vivid dreams this week too. I had one about our leopard gecko, we have 1 girl and in my dream she managed to escape and was bouncing around the living room and then climbed on my arm and then all of a sudden there were tones more geckos and they were all climbing on me. It felt so real!!!
Also getting the same symptoms, I'm 6+4 and have some very slight cramps maybe once a day, back ache and sore boobs, apart from that nothing. But my mum said she didn't really get any symptoms when she got pregnant with me so I'm not too worried about it.

With my first I had vivid dreams a lot to the point they were vivid nightmares every night towards the end.

This baby I've dreamt but there nowhere near what they were like last pregnancy and definitely not vivid yet (I am still really early though 4+3)

Sore boobs 100% and my sciatica is playing up every other day. I knew in the week leading up to my period week something wasn't right as my boobs had got bigger and I looked bloated, my DP jokingly asked if I was pregnant, so thinking it would probably be negative I took a test, definitely a bun in the oven!

I’m joining this group because I’m due on 5th December.

I did a test yesterday and was positive...it’s been a shock for me as I didn’t expect this pregnancy.
I am a mum of 15 weeks baby so it’s too early for me to get pregnant again! Any other mum in the same situation?? I’m a bit scared at the moment because of all the risks and complications a back to back pregnancy might have. I need some support! 😫 I would like to know any other stories like this and that they went all good!

@tri2mum ... in hysterics at your dream!! Im 5 weeks today and not having any symptoms at all so really starting to worry. X

I'm hoping the dreams don't continue, I could feel myself getting really angry last night, but laughing this morning, they are keeping DH entertained though.

I ended up booking an early scan for next Friday to see if everything’s ok! Just concerned I don’t feel any different at all!

Is anyone having their second? I keep looking at DS and wondering how I could love anyone as much as him. I just don’t feel like I can

@lordofthefries - yes this is my second but my DD is 11. I feel the same as she has been the apple of my eye for so long. X

I’m having the second with a 15 weeks old baby...😰

@trimum yah usually I would have freaked out but I was very calm in the dream, also are geckos friendly and cute.

This is my first but my partners 2nd, so it will be interesting to see how his little boy reacts to being a big brother! Hes been quite spoilt because hes been an only child for 5 years so I think he might struggle a little at first lol!

@IHD83 it must be really scary but I am sure you will be fine. Just follow drs advice and get as much support as you can to help you out. Just think how close your babies will be, best friends and worst enemies (like me and my sister 😂) x

Yes...I’m in shock right now and it will take a bit of time to be conscious about the new situation.

As you said, one of the good sides is that they will be best friends. I will try to be positive!

Is anybody else suffering with back ache? My lower back and boobs are throbbing and my stomach feels like a bottomless pit, I don’t know if it’s hunger or just belly flutters!! I’m only 6 weeks ish. Anybody else

Back ache and sore boobs are very normal symptoms. I am having some back ache these days, not every day though.
In my previous pregnancy I had sore boobs which made me wake up during the night every time I changed position, was quite paintful

@IHD83 I have a tilted uterus so I think that’s what is causing it

I guess it depends how paintful it is. My uterous was ok and still had some back pain but not very strong anyway. Are you having strong cramps?
