Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

Thanks everyone, yes @Bumpingalong84 I do, my family are being brilliant and my mum in particular will help a lot, I am also lucky to have lots of friends with young children nearby and those that know (not many yet) have been very supportive. Still sometimes it feels like I'll be totally alone but I think I've just got to accept the fear!

It is lovely to share experiences on here, @Josie5555 yes I've definitely had some irritable days, certainly I don't feel like suffering fools at the moment! ☺️

Lhmm · 10/04/2019 21:52

@bobble53

My 12 week scan is also end of May I also have very little pregnancy symptoms I have sore boobs that's about it !! My 1st midwife appointment is in two weeks I feel normal If I'm honest my previous pregnancy's were terrible I was sick right from 4 weeks till birth both girls, in a way I want some kind of symptom lol just to verify lol

bobble53 · 10/04/2019 22:00

@Lhmm that’s all I have too! They were killing me today!

1990carey · 11/04/2019 08:35

@smitch82 from my understanding your first scan can be between week 10-14 so yah sounds about right.

smitch82 · 11/04/2019 09:29

@1990carey I thought it would be normal! I swear none of this is normal for me 😂

So does anyone know how to get rid of nausea without eating ginger biscuits?? My DH is worried I am going to turn into a whale if I carry on eating them (which I kinda worry about too!! 😂)

Lilaboc1986 · 11/04/2019 09:42

Hi all, congratulations to everybody, just found out im pregnant after 2 +years of trying and 6 months after a HSG. Due date december 14th x

smitch82 · 11/04/2019 09:54

@Lilaboc1986 congratulations!! I have a similar date mine is around the 11th dec but they can't decide due to me know knowing my cycle length (bloody pill 🤦‍♀️)

lordofthefries · 11/04/2019 10:07

Morning everyone, I’m feeling loads better today. I’m planning DS’s birthday, which is next Friday. We’re thinking of just going to the park with family, I’m hoping I can shake the sickness by then, I don’t want people to suspect anything

1990carey · 11/04/2019 10:16

Congratulations @Lilaboc1986! Welcome to the December club!

I usually just feel sick if I havnt eaten, so had a bacon and egg sandwich this morning (it was all I could think about) and I'm so full and so happy now lol. I'm very tired today tho =/ only got up at 730 and I already want to have a nap.

smitch82 · 11/04/2019 10:20

@1990carey I am with you on that. I am so tried!! I woke up at 4:30 for an hour (as I have done all week) but now feel dead I. My feet!!

Lilaboc1986 · 11/04/2019 10:25

Thankyou! Im not sure what to do? Do i make a doctors appointment? Im going on holiday in 3 weeks so very nervous now

smitch82 · 11/04/2019 11:36

@Lilaboc1986 I would make an appointment with the dr. Tell them then go on your love holiday as your midwife won't see you till around 8-10 weeks xx

MrsS7 · 11/04/2019 12:01

Managing to stay positive but I'm finding the waiting and wondering so hard haha... anyone else?
Don't know how I'm going to last another 6 weeks before the scan but everyone thinks I'm being really impatient and paranoid when I mention an early scan.
Congratulations to all of those who've just found out Flowers

MsSquiz · 11/04/2019 12:28

Hi Ladies!
Congratulations to you all on your BFPs and December babies!
Can I join in with your fun? I got my BFP this morning and I'm super early at 3+3! We've been trying for 19 months so I was just expecting the usual negative... went back to check the test and this was it! Grin

My EDD is looking to be between the 19th and the 23rd December, as my cycles lengths have been between 26 and 30 days

I'm due in December too! I think about 5 weeks, 1 day now. This is a really precious, desperately wanted pregnancy and I'm terrified of losing it. I'm close to 44, had a missed miscarriage a year ago and had awful recent results from a fertility check/scan, suggesting if this doesn't work out, that's my only chance gone for a sibling for my toddler. For anyone younger I'd say a 7 week reassurance scan is a nice idea (not before then). I did it with my first pregnancy and it was exciting to see the heartbeat. This time I am going to wait rather than risk false hope. I would have taken a baby at any time but early December is perfect for all the lovely snuggly winter woollen clothes. Someone asked about brown spotting. I had one brown wipe at about 4 weeks and had the same with my successful pregnancy. But with my MC no spotting at all, so if it's brief I'd say it is an excellent sign. Congratulations to all!

pitterpatterbaby · 11/04/2019 13:53

Tentatively joining. I'm 4 +6 today edd 14/12/19! Had a positive test in feb but that sadly ended as a chemical pregnancy a few days later. Hoping this is better!

Oh and ps I'm 40 Smile

xoxhayleyxox · 11/04/2019 13:59

Hi ladies.
Is anyone else suffering with extreme dizziness? I'm under EPAU anyway as had to have an early scan and bloods done, so I just gave them a call and they said as long as I'm not in pain or bleeding it's okay, just a lovely symptom of early pregnancy. I can't even sit up without feeling like I'm going to faint! 😩

smitch82 · 11/04/2019 14:40

Had my blood test confirmed by the doctor now. DH reply was "surprise, surprise" think he might believe me now 😂

FlorenceAlice · 11/04/2019 14:44

@xoxhayleyxox yes! I’m so dizzy! I’m trying to keep hydrated and well fed but it doesn’t seem to help. I have been working out 3 days a week too but I’m having to take long rests because of the dizziness!

1990carey · 11/04/2019 17:50

Congratulations to all the newbies on your BFP and welcome to the December club!

Pip231018 · 11/04/2019 18:45

@PetraRabbit @pitterpatterbaby Whoop, whoop! Congratulations. X

bobble53 · 11/04/2019 18:51

I can’t stop eating! Anybody else feel like their stomach is always empty?!

fonxey · 11/04/2019 18:54

@bobble53 yes! Annoying. I always struggle to eat enough normally, never feel hungry and now I'm starving. Going to need to miss the bus just so i can grab something to eat.

fonxey · 11/04/2019 18:54

And congrats to everyone else who've just had their bfps!

lordofthefries · 11/04/2019 19:16

Congrats to all the newbies!. I’m like you with not being able to stop eating, I’ve had 4 McDonald’s this weekBlush
