Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

@birchwoods so so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you.

@saffy347 I'm glad things went well.

I feel like my brain is making silly mistakes. I ordered a pair of jeans on ebay second hand (only £6) but they have arrived stinking of cigarette smoke. I'm an idiot as should've checked that it said smoke free home, but most don't and I wrongly assumed that maternity wear wouldnt stink of smoke. Think I'll end up having to throw away. Idiot!!

@saffy347 have gone straight it the wash and will be googling options. Just feel an idiot. I partly got them as a size test as my thighs tend to grow in pregnancy so I can't always stay the same clothing size and didn't want to spend £20 on jeans that wouldn't fit.

@birchwoods, so sorry to read your sad news xx

@Frizzy1986, I was sure I’d heard you can use white vinegar added to the wash to get rid of cigarette smoke smell from clothes so went off and googled it. I found this which also gives another couple suggestions.

I know it's really early, but anyone started gathering names?
We really struggled with boys names last time and could only agree on 2 girls names. I'm trying to start thinking so I don't feel panicked at the end.
Our problem now is that we went a bit off centre with dd so any subsequent kids names will have to be the same.

HarryHarry · 31/03/2019 17:10

Happy Mother's Day everybody!

fluffyunicorns86 · 31/03/2019 17:15

Happy mothers day everyone hope you having a great day.

I am already thinking about names @frizzy986 I dont like leaving it till last minute and like to have them all ready not got any yet though that I like and I find boys names harder to find than girls

Dyra · 31/03/2019 18:03

Happy (future and current) Mother's day to you all!

Husband and I have pretty much decided on Alice for a girl. But no idea for a boy. Which is what we think we're having.... I really like Theo, but husband doesn't want baby to have the same initials as he does....

But, it's still really early days, and we haven't ran options past the most harshest critics around. The families.

Woolly17 · 31/03/2019 18:37

@Frizzy1986 we're starting to look at names too. We agreed pretty quickly on a boys name last time - and I was so sure it would be a boy we just abandoned the girl list - it wasn't until week 28 or so that it was confirmed we probably weren't having a boy... So then we had to go look for girls names. This time we're not going with my hunch...
We did not tell people what name we were going for but it's a very traditional first name and a second name that has a lot of meaning for us.

Nextchapter19 · 31/03/2019 18:58

Hi all, long time no posting! My job has been crazy. Run up to GCSE and A-levels, am frazzled! This was not the best time for the first trimester!!! So I’m 11 weeks today. Scan is on 9th April. Can honestly say this has been the longest two months of my life! Really not enjoyable!

So, Im just wondering if anyone elses symptoms of nausea and sickness started to subside around 9/10 weeks? I currently have very sore, swollen breasts and food aversions, but I feel alot more like myself. Totally off all meat, and mostly wanting milk, pineapple, mango, melon and black grapes!!!! Costing me a fortune! Im trying to see the feeling better as a positive thing and hopefully not a bad sign before the scan but think its normal? I also have that strange dark line down my tummy and below! Only 2 weeks until Im visiting my family to share the news in person! Long slog!

Claireb2203 · 31/03/2019 19:37

@Nextchapter19 every food item u have listed is exactly what I want to eat and I have totally gone off meat too!!! Last time I had chocolate was sick so havnt bothered with it. Today we went out for lunch and u had mozzarella sticks for starter, roast gammon lunch and apple pie and custard for pudding and I can honestly say it's the first time since getting pregnant that I really enjoyed my food. And my time feels different today. Havnt got that heavy feeling or bloated feeling which is nice. Hoping this is a turning point as am now 13+3

GinMama1 · 31/03/2019 20:04

@nextchapter19 I'm 10+4 and I'm definitely starting to feel better, although still tired. The nausea has got a lot better. Slightly unnerved by the fact that my boobs feel ok. I've been craving a lot of fruit too, and have spent a fortune in M&S! Watermelon is my current fave.
My scan is 10 April, feels like we are getting there but sooo slowly.

givememarmite · 31/03/2019 20:45

@Frizzy1986 I'm dreading starting the name choosing process again! We have two cultures and three languages to consider and it is so hard finding something that works...kind of hoping it's a boy just so we don't have to go through the same list of girl names again!

GinMama1 · 31/03/2019 21:20

Why did I write that post? Now I feel sick again!

crazycatlady7 · 31/03/2019 21:58

@GinMama1 I'm starting to have the odd good day... and then feel sick.... I'm about 10+5. I'm hoping there is an end to the sickness!

Rememberallball · 31/03/2019 22:31

@Frizzy1986, we have not only started thinking of names - we’ve actually chosen First an middle names for 2 girls and 2 boys and decided which is our first choice for each!!

Girls are
Amelia Florence
Charlotte Alice

Boys are
Samuel Arthur
Joshua George

Claireb2203 · 31/03/2019 22:31

Does anyone else who is eating proper food struggle to eat the amount they use to without getting uncomfortably full for a long time? I never had this with dd . Does it get better or worse? I rememeber eating loads last time. This time around I'm lucky if I can get breakfast and lunch in without needing to lye down

Frizzy1986 · 31/03/2019 22:58

@rememberallball those are lovely names. I'm hoping dh likes the names I have on my list. Dd is called Aurelia Joyce so any names have to fit with that.

I'm 13+5 today and still get some nausea. Think my boobs feel less sore now but nausea comes in random waves. I think I now only need to eat every 2-3 hours instead of every 1-2 but the thought of some food still makes me feel sick and I'm never sure if I feel sick because I've had too big a meal, or because of pregnancy nausea.
My "bump" (more bloat) is starting to ache at night already and I'm never sure if I'm starting to feel flutters or if it's just gas.
Got my consultant app through for 17 weeks (it'll be my 16 week appointment) as I had a 3rd degree tear last time. Im presuming ill be getting a finger up my arse and vag to check my clenching and healing.
Do you think they'll do the heartbeat. I know my midwife did at 16 weeks first time but this is a consultant so presume they won't be arsed as much 😔
