Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

So you know how I said I didn’t have any symptoms? Started throwing up yesterday at nearly 13 weeks!

Our son didn’t have a name for nearly a week as we just couldn’t come up with anything! I’m kind of dreading having another boy just because of the hassle of choosing a name for him!

Rememberallball · 01/04/2019 08:22

@Frizzy1986, my midwife is seeing me at 15+4 (only 3 days after we see the consultant) and she did say she would try doing a Doppler but said not to get my homes up that they will hear the heartbeats - especially with twins.

I love the name Aurelia especially since it was in Love Actually!! Amelia Florence is an old family name (was my great grandmother’s name, was her daughter, my grandmother’s name the other was round; Florence was my mum’s name; and my niece has Amelia as her middle name. Oh, and dad’s mum was Florrie - so definitely a family based name!!) Charlotte is just a name we like and agreed on while Alice was DH’s Nan’s name!! With the boys names, George was my granddad on my dad’s side and Arthur was his brother. Samuel and Joshua are, again, names we both like and agreed on!! DH’s adult children have traditional and popular names for when they were born in the 1990’s so we’ve carried on in that vein.

Once we’d decided on them it was very nice to know the decision was made and we could move on and tick a big box!! We also decided we won’t be telling the family what we’ve agreed on until the children are here!!

GinMama1 · 01/04/2019 09:44

No ideas for names here, and we haven't really started talking about it. We are going away at the end of April, so may bring it up then, when we are safely past 12 weeks. I don't love the boys name we'd decided on last time, and we don't really have another girls name, so we have a bit of a blank slate!

I have a 16 week MW appointment and a separate consultant appointment a couple of weeks later to discuss ELCS.

Dyra · 01/04/2019 10:14

@Rememberallball Both my family and DH's family have a tradition of using the mother or father's names as their children's middle name. So if I were to have a girl, her name would be Alice Charlotte. Grin

Did anyone have heartburn suddenly appear at around 11 weeks? Ive not had it at all so far but been crippled by it today!!! Seems to have appeared from nowhere!

Frizzy1986 · 01/04/2019 22:12

@saffy347 if you are being serious, I am jealous. 14 weeks tomorrow and still waves of nausea, tired, feeling a bit meh.
There have been moments of additional energy but they just don't last that long. I def stared to feel better by this point last time, but no luck quite yet.

I think we will use one of my grandparents names as a middle name, but am trying to tie them up with suitable first names so then we pick the first name we like and it doesn't feel like we are favouring a particular person.

Good luck @fluffyunicorns86

fluffyunicorns86 · 02/04/2019 15:34

Thank you every one it went well baby wouldn't move head out of pelvis for her to see. I a 13+1 so due the 7th October

Dyra · 02/04/2019 16:11

Congrats on your scan @fluffyunicorns86. Was your due date pushed forward or back? Did they manage to get all the measurements? Amazing how stubborn the little ones can be even when they're so tiny!

fluffyunicorns86 · 02/04/2019 16:21

@Dyra I had 2 early scans for 2 different reasons first put my due date at 8th October then second put me at 4th October and this one has put me at 7th October so has always changed. I didn't have a period after my late loss in October with issues that wasn't found out till later on to require a D&C so I didn't actually know how far along I should have been. I know never had a baby so stubborn lol. Yeah she did finally managed to get a good look at the head eventually

Claireb2203 · 02/04/2019 16:57

Had my results through for downs/Edwards etc today, low risk which I'm very pleased about.
@fluffyunicorns86 glad your scan went well. I was originally 7th October but now due 3rd xx

@Claireb2203 glad the results were good for downs. I never had that done never have with any of my others either.

@saffy347 yay due date buddies always good to have at least one person due the same time to talk to. It is such a relief to see them wriggling around happy even if was being stubborn lol. Yeah me and DP will find out the sex at next scan definitely. I may even pay for a scan inbetween aswell as quite a wait till next scan from this one as I think i will just panic x

Rememberallball · 02/04/2019 17:09

@Saffy347, I think they say over 1/500 is rising towards higher risk and 1/150 is high risk.

@fluffyunicorns86, glad all went well with the scan earlier x
