Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

Good luck @neuroticnumpty! I also have had the symptoms disappearing and then reassuring, it can be nerve wracking but glad to hear you're sore again 😅

What time is your scan and how far along are you?

Frizzy1986 · 10/03/2019 15:06

Wow @bluespace that's fab. It's weird as that's only 5 days after I had mine and mine was a blob.
My boobs have been OK today but still got that sickness. Still on and off cramps and stupidly preparing for the worst in 2 weeks. Thinks that's my pessimistic personality though.

neuroticnumpty · 10/03/2019 18:32

Hello everyone! I'm back from my scan. Really happy to see a nice healthy baby! It was very busy kicking and waving. Measuring 9+6 x

womaninkent · 10/03/2019 18:46

@neuroticnumpty great news.

AngeloMysterioso · 10/03/2019 18:59

I keep freaking out over my lack of symptoms. My boobs don’t really hurt that much anymore and I feel a bit queasy every now and then but that it’s. Oh and the stabby pains when I sneeze. I’m so terrified of a MMC, it’s pretty much all I can think about!

Duke13 · 10/03/2019 19:00

Hey everyone! Found out last month that I’m pregnant, so will be 8 weeks this Thursday & due 24th October 😊. Congratulations to everyone else on their good news. This is my first pregnancy. Struggling really badly with morning (afternoon and night) sickness!

Frizzy1986 · 10/03/2019 19:08

@neuroticnumpty fab news.
Welcome to the newbies 👋

So I'm trying to look into travel insurance. I'll be 34 weeks outbound and 35 weeks inbound should this all stick. Its only France and already having to cancel the ferry (can't go on past 32 weeks) and switch to the tunnel, but want to make sure I have fab insurance.
Lots obviously say that pregnancy is not a condition so is part of standard cover (fair enough) but then you also read that it would only cover emergency treatment not childbirth after 29 weeks.
I know I'd be considered early should it happen but I'd def want childbirth covered and any resulting care as I can't afford to have to pay for medical care over there and its probably safe to assume that any EU medical cards will be nul and void.

ElkieMacjibe · 10/03/2019 20:30

@Frizzy1986 I looked into this last time I was pregnant and ended up going with Insure and Go but haven't checked their policies recently

coconutlatte44 · 10/03/2019 22:00

Congrats @neuroticnumpty!

I have my scan at 9 am so crossing fingers (also crossing fingers that I manage some sleep tonight!)

Edhardy3127 · 10/03/2019 22:09

I’m completely new to this so I’ve never posted before Blush .... discovered I was pregnant last weekend and if calculations are correct I should be 9 weeks today. First baby and I’m 30. I’m very anxious as I’m full of questions and worries but having read this whole thread you all seem very helpful and full of advice and experience.

Due (estimated) 14th October

I’m currently struggling to eat and sleep. I’m also currently weighing nearly 15 stone so I’m paranoid about gaining a lot of weight and not being able to cope :(

sal1987 · 11/03/2019 06:17

@coconutlatte44 good luck for today, got my fx for you and hope it's good news 💞💞

Jodie6 · 11/03/2019 06:49

@Edhardy3127 hello and welcome.

I'm 29 and on my first and I'm due 13 October so we are very close. I weigh about 12 stone and am also really conscious about my weight. Having said that I haven't really been looking at what I eat because my main symptom is tiredness. Going to the shops to buy food or tidy the house is exhausting and so I've not been doing much if either but I've found myself every time I'm hungry just snacking on yoghurts and toast. I just try to make sure I have one full meal a day with protein and veg which is my good part.

Edhardy3127 · 11/03/2019 07:04

Oh wow we are close! Smile yeah I’ve really struggled with sleeping for a couple weeks but this last weekend has been painful 😖 I’m at work tomorrow so this new bout of exhaustion is going to be fun fun fun!

To say I’ve only known a week so much has come to light it’s fascinating! I’ve become repulsed by bacon (makes me sad) and craving coco pops (anytime of day) .... how about you at 9 weeks?

Jodie6 · 11/03/2019 08:04

@Edhardy3127 I've been tired for a few weeks now but also had a cold for the past two weeks. Ive just come out of the cold now but the tiredness definitely isn't going away.

I haven't really had any food cravings at all but whilst I haven't had any sickness my husband ordered us a curry and as soon as it arrived at the door I thought I was going to throw up so we won't be ordering another curry.

Got my midwife appointment next week and then have another scan booked too so next week feels like the start of it all. Really excited :-)

@Ina1 welcome! Did want to ignore your post/ query but I'm afraid I have no idea. I did read somewhere else that someone mentioned she would need to start injections from 16 weeks but that's not exactly a concrete answer.
Maybe ring the receptionist at a GPS (even if you aren't registered- just for the advice) or start a thread in the main pregnancy forum where you'll reach loads more pregnant women who might be able to help?
Congratulations by the way 😊

HarryPottersSecretSister · 11/03/2019 08:55

didnt want to ignore, I meant @Ina1 x

HarryPottersSecretSister · 11/03/2019 09:00

@Edhardy3127 huge congratulations and welcome!!
I'm going to be honest and say I am unbelievably (unreasonably and irrationally) envious that you found out at 8 weeks 😂
I'm only 7&3, know for over a month now and am really, really struggling 😷

Lol'ing at aversion to bacon making you sad. So, SO understandable!!

@neuroticnumpty delighted to read about your scan. I know how worried you've been. This is just brilliant news!!

@Duke13 welcome! Sorry to hear you're suffering too. I hope it's short lived. It's utterly shit. 😔

HarryPottersSecretSister · 11/03/2019 09:05

@coconutlatte44 thinking of you! Best of luck. Hope you managed to get some sleep last night. Xxx

Still massively struggling here ladies. Every night I go to bed hoping tomorrow will be better but it hasn't happened yet. Still early days for me so I strongly suspect I'm settling in for the long haul sickness wise. I'm such a moaner (I know) but my mood is very low because of it all. Just want to get back to working and running the house properly and being productive.
I have an early scan booked for Friday so (HOPEFULLY- all being well) this might lift my mood and remind me why I've done this to myself.

Hope everyone else is well.

@flowersaremyfave I've been thinking of you loads. Any update? Are you ok? Xx

Secretlifeofme · 11/03/2019 09:39

Good news from me today ladies! Had a scan at what I thought was 7+4, in fact the baby is only measuring 6+6 but this ties in with the fact that I ovulate a bit later, on day 17 or 18, so it's all good. New EDD is 29th October. But the important part is that we saw and heard a lovely strong heartbeat, 144 bpm! Really happy, in my previous three failed pregnancies we never heard a heartbeat, so it feels extra exciting! Smile
