Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

@HarryPottersSecretSister mine is on Monday when I'll be 7+4. Already had one at 6+1 (advised due to multiple miscarriages at around this stage) when the baby was measuring small by 3 days and there was no heartbeat, so I'm hoping desperately for a heartbeat on Monday.

@Emjm9 hi again, due date twin! Wishing you loads of luck with your scan today Flowers

@Secretlifeofme I remember and I've been thinking of you. Hope the weekend doesn't drag too much and that Monday flies around for you (there's a sentence I never thought I'd say!)

6+1 was probably just too early.
It's terribly worrying though.

Early pregnancy tests and early private scans are such a blessing in some ways but a curse in others.

I know you'll keep us posted, wishing you all the luck I can muster up x

HarryPottersSecretSister · 08/03/2019 09:29

Oh I keep meaning to ask (I obviously lied when I promised I wouldn't ask anymore questions 😂) but did the FB group ever take off after? Is anyone here in it? Or was it a dead duck?

Secretlifeofme · 08/03/2019 09:30

Ah thanks @HarryPottersSecretSister, that means a lot x

@HarryPottersSecretSister that's great your flare is better. My UC has kept away so far too which is great! I've got my next infliximab infusion coming up on the 19th and I'm nervous about having it as I had a MC after one before. My specialist is saying it's not possible that is what caused it but I can't help worrying.

Good luck to those with scans coming up.

My appetite seems to have gone nuts! Is this happening to anyone else?

Emjm9 · 08/03/2019 09:42

Thank you 😊
Ah, @Secretlifeofme I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for you for Monday. Hoping all will be fine!! X

ElkieMacjibe · 08/03/2019 09:49

HarryPotters the facebook group is going! Around 40 people. Come and join us. Think you need to add Christina Peak as a friend (military profile pic).

HarryPottersSecretSister · 08/03/2019 09:53

@kdd1980 delighted your UC is keeping away.
I totally understand - it didn't cause the MC but because of the timing, it's understandable that you feel anxious. A trigger I suppose. I know after my MC (years ago!) I was picking through every tiny thing I had done in the lead up to it. Obviously none of these things caused it, but I reckon it's normal.

I was on Remicade infusions for a while a few years ago and found it absolutely brilliant.
The best of luck x

And yes- I'm eating enough to sustain my family of 5.
😐

kdd1980 · 08/03/2019 09:57

@HarryPottersSecretSister yes, it's great stuff. I've been on it 6 years now and was on it when I was pregnant with my son too so I know it can't cause MC but I'm so paranoid this time around as I had 5 MCs in 2017 then didn't conceive at all in 2018 (despite trying!) this little bean is so precious.

Glad it's not just me on the eating! Trying to stick to healthy options at least Smile

HarryPottersSecretSister · 08/03/2019 10:05

@kdd1980 Jesus you poor love, you e really been through the absolute mill! ❤️

princesstinnedpeach · 08/03/2019 10:15

@HarryPottersSecretSister thank you 🙏🏻 fwiw I think it's totally fine for your nausea to be easing. We're all different and of course some people don't get any sickness at all! Really glad to hear your flare has stopped too. Good that these hormones are good for something (other than making babies, obviously...)

Clarew78 · 08/03/2019 10:19

Good luck Emjm9 fingers crossed xx

Clarew78 · 08/03/2019 10:27

And best wishes too for you @Secretlifeofme xx

womaninkent · 08/03/2019 11:14

@secretlyhermione sad we’re not due date buddies but that does make more sense.
Good luck @emjm9 and @secretlifeofme.
I know what you mean about appetite, it’s only just gone 11, I only had breakfast a couple of hours ago but I am starving. Too soon for lunch? Hmm

HarryPottersSecretSister · 08/03/2019 11:32

@ElkieMacjibe sorry! Missed your post! Thanks for that :) will try add now

Emjm9 · 08/03/2019 12:06

Hi everyone, just got back from my scan... everything is fine! There was a little heartbeat and they said I'm measuring a couple of days less than I thought... making me 6+6 with a new EDD of 26th October!
I'm SO relieved 😌

HarryPottersSecretSister · 08/03/2019 12:11

@Emjm9 I'm prob too invested but I've been watching the clock and thinking of you all morning 😂
Will have my own first scan this time next week so think I was over feeling the worry for you.
So so delighted to hear this!

Ladies I've joined the FB group this morning. It looks busy enough (but not too busy) it's really lovely to start putting faces to the names of anyone else is interested 😊

womaninkent · 08/03/2019 12:27

Great news @emjm9

Emjm9 · 08/03/2019 12:28

@HarryPottersSecretSister hahaha! Oh bless you, I'm sure yours will be absolutely fine next week, it's so hard not to get anxious though isn't it?!

Secretlifeofme · 08/03/2019 12:56

@Clarew1978 and @womaninkent thank you Flowers

@Emjm9 woohoo!! Congratulations! That's fantastic news (although obv gutted that we're not due date buddies any more Grin)

Hi everyone, happy weekend to you all!

I've been a bit quiet as have not had any nausea/morning sickness and while I know that's the case for a fair number of women, but it's made me feel a bit uneasy.

I've then had a small bit of brown blood the other day, was deciding whether it warranted a doctor's visit when it reoccurred today, and a bit of cramping (though have had cramping on/off the whole pregnancy). I've been managing my anxiety about the whole process really well so far but all of these things that are just a little bit "off" are adding up and now wearing away at my optimism.

The EPUs are closed for the weekend but considering an urgent care centre though dreading it as it feels it's making my fears "real."

SadieSue29 · 08/03/2019 18:57

Hi

Coconut I am the same as you and booked an early scan, no sickness, spotting and random cramping.

I went for an early scan privately and everything was ok, saw a heart beat.

Is this something you could look in to if you can't be seen by the EPU?

neuroticnumpty · 08/03/2019 19:46

@coconutlatte44 well done for managing your anxieties so well. Mine often take hold and run wild. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. I am sure it will be ok.

@SadieSue29 thank you for sharing your update I'm massively reassured by it.

I've booked my reassurance scan in for Sunday at 5.30, on the basis of all my worries can't be good for the baby

X

Trinnidad · 08/03/2019 20:07

Hi everyone, just thought I'd check in. Had my first midwife's appointment on Wednesday, so I have my notes booklet now and was given my first scan date, on 25 March. Midwife was happy with all my info which was nice. Seems so long to wait till the scan though!

Told my boss today so I could ask for scan day off (DH's idea whichever way it goes we probably don't want to go straight back to work!). We're not meant to take time off round Brexit so wanted to tell him why! Went down well and he's keeping schtum until I tell HR.

@coconutlatte44 I've posted on here a few times because I've not had any nausea or sickness at all and I'd feel a lot more reassured if I did (obv I know it's not nice dealing with those symptoms either, but you know what I mean). I don't live in mainland UK and there are no private early scans where I live so I'm just waiting it out, but seems so long!

I've been absolutely starving and really tired so I'm holding onto those symptoms just now. My abdominal twinges and breast tenderness seem to have eased off this week but I understand that's not unusual at 9/10 weeks.
