Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

Thanks girls ☺️

@HarryPottersSecretSister did you have nausea with your other children? I only had it with 2 of mine and it lasted 10 weeks (6-16 weeks) it floored me i was useless from the minute I woke up until 5/6 o'clock in the evening.

Newyearsameoldshit · 06/03/2019 10:04

Thank you.
Same here, if I ate plenty last time I could keep a lid on it, this time I'm a wreck!
I burst into tears in front of my GP and straight up asked if she would prescribe something Blush

flowersaremyfave · 06/03/2019 10:04

Just see your last post 🙈 my advice would be to speak to your doctor.

womaninkent · 06/03/2019 11:48

@flowersaremyfave good luck with your scan!

flowersaremyfave · 06/03/2019 13:04

Hi ladies. So the sac was there but was empty and measured 6+3 I've got to go back in a week to see if anything appears, there was also some blood around. I'll pop back on in a week and update.

womaninkent · 06/03/2019 13:53

Sorry to hear that @flowersaremyfave.

So sorry to hear that @flowersaremyfave

@HarryPottersSecretSister definitely push your GP for drugs if you need them!

@Random2468 yes my symptoms fluctuate. I'm feel a bit better this week but it comes and goes during the day. I'm definitely less tired, but I'm feel less sick as well. I am trying to drink more water and eat very regularly, because I found over the weekend that if I got too hungry I just felt terrible. So maybe that's proving effective. It's definitely easier when I'm at work though, it's very hard to snack without my toddler wanting to eat what I'm eating!

Newyearsameoldshit · 06/03/2019 15:08

flowersaremyfave sorry to hear that Flowers

Nextchapter19 · 06/03/2019 16:00

This morning/afternoon/sickness is the worst. Im 8 weeks now and feel like have gad an awful hangover for at least 2 weeks. Cant socialise, work is awful, had a full on cry last night to the near point of wailing!! Its just so hard trying to get on each day. Im really wishing the next few weeks away in the hope I feel better. Arghhhhhhhhh

Emjm9 · 06/03/2019 16:10

@Nextchapter19 I hear you - I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and the last couple of days I've started to feel horrendous... as you say, feels like a constant hangover and can't seem to drag myself off the sofa!

Hopefully the next few weeks will be kind to us and all this will ease off!

Clarew78 · 06/03/2019 16:21

@flowersaremyfave I had this at my first 'reassurance' scan, they did check my hcg levels over 48hrs to see if they were doubling and follow up scans. next one they found a yolk sac and one after that saw a little heart beat too! Are they checking your hcg? So basically suggesting there is hope. it was such a roller-coaster of emotions at the time. How are you feeling about it?

neuroticnumpty · 06/03/2019 16:26

Hi, I'm another one that has been unnerved by suddenly feeling a lot better. I'm 9 weeks now but this and last week I've barely felt sick at all and no Diarrhea which I'm honestly was relentless.
I hope I don't need to be worried because it seems a bit early for symptoms to improve x

flowersaremyfave · 06/03/2019 16:35

@Clarew78 I'm not sure if there being checked tbh I was kind of shocked because I went there with a suspected eptopic and was told the sac was empty. I'm not even sure how far along I am because it wasn't a planned a pregnancy and I've never tracked my periods and I have no idea when I ovulated, so it's possible I could just be early and nothings showing up yet, that could also be an indication of why Ive not had many symptoms 🤷🏻‍♀️ god I wish I could just remember when my last period was! I'm fine thank you just a littles surprised by it all. This week is going to drag 😔

HarryPottersSecretSister · 06/03/2019 16:51

The limbo period is absolutely horrible @flowersaremyfave I really hope you get good news next week xxxx

HarryPottersSecretSister · 06/03/2019 16:52

Thanks all, I'm so sorry for complaining so much. I seem to never stop moaning.
I searched back to my antenatal thread in 2010/ 2011 when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. Remember vaguely been sick with her but couldn't remember how long for. Turns out it was a good few (7ish) weeks of this shit. Hoping this time it passes quicker.
Thanks so much for all your kind messages, hope things improve for everyone soon x

HarryPottersSecretSister · 06/03/2019 17:21

Also, Public Service Announcement:

Sea bands don't work.

Food aversions are insane here: my odd and beloved super noodles on cream crackers combo now turns my stomach.
I love wholemeal bread but today the smell of wholemeal bread makes me feel sick. I'll prob love it again tomorrow.
DH makes this fab veggie curry which was going down great last week - thoughts of it today: 😷
Can't food shop (or rather DH can't) as what I'll eat today, I can't stand tomorrow.

This is one weird kid.

I texted DH earlier and asked him to bring me home a white roll and cheese.
He brought grated cheese so I started crying (lol!) because I can't stomach grated cheddar - just sliced cheddar. 😂😂

I'm insane!

Frizzy1986 · 06/03/2019 18:24

@flowersaremyfave hopefully it's just a bit too early and there's still hope for the next appointment. It you aren't sure of your dates then there's a definite possibility that you are earlier than anticipated.

@harrypotterssecretsister that sounds a lot like me although mine is fairly mild nausea. I definitely have to eat regularly and have no idea what I'll want. Making a shopping list is impossible. I'm almost 10 weeks now and feel really fortunate that it must be getting closer to the end.

Still super nervous about 12 weeks even though we had a heartbeat at 7+5 and I've had no severe cramping or bleeding.
Dh tells me off when I say "if this all goes well" as he doesn't like my negativity.
I'm trying not to get ahead of myself though, just because I know people who have been through bad news. I've been daydreaming about telling work as I've only been there 4 months. Things aren't panning out how I hoped (it's not the job it was advertised as at all) but I'm thinking that this will mean leaving for a year and hopefully they'll have sorted the role out by the time I get back.
I'm dreading saying as 2 months after I started, my senior left so I reported to the office manager, and my new senior only started in Feb (and shes really nice)

Nextchapter19 · 06/03/2019 19:45

@Frizzy1986 I was worried about telling work. Im a teacher who started a new job in Sept in leadership but they have been great. Am only 8 weeks but told them as was off one day ill and had maternity appt coming up etc. The head of HR reminded me life comes first, work after which is so true. Im
Not enjoying my new school so actually feel a little less loyalty to them in some ways!

My class room is near the school kitchens and the smells early morning are wafting in. Like today, a garlic bread aroma at 9.30am. I was holding onto the desk to stop me toppling over with nausea. Going to have to ask to be moved to all different empty classrooms which will be stressful in a huge secondary but see no alternative.

@nextchapter19 well that's good that they were so nice about it. I'm hoping mine are the same.
Eurgh that smell in the morning would not be good. I can't really cope with strong smells unless I've eaten enough to take the nausea away.
I made homemade houmous the other week, thinking healthy veggie sticks, keep that nausea at bay. I lasted 2 days before I got a big whiff of garlic and that was it, couldn't stomach it again. Gutting.

princesstinnedpeach · 06/03/2019 20:26

A fun symptom I've noticed today...my stomach hurts when I sneeze or cough. Not a bad pain, but enough to stop me from clearing my throat properly! Anyone else? I think/hope it's because my muscles are getting ready to do some baby cradling shit Grin

GinMama1 · 06/03/2019 21:10

Ugh thought I was feeling better but then I could only eat potatoes tonight!

neuroticnumpty · 06/03/2019 22:20

I'm super worried about reduced symptoms. Do you think it's worth getting an early scan? I'm probably about 9 weeks...

HarryPottersSecretSister · 06/03/2019 23:11

@neuroticnumpty yes, I absolutely think it would be worth it. Not because reduced symptoms at 9 weeks are a sign that something is wrong but because you're super worried about it.
Anything that relaxes you and alleviates your worry is worth it.

None of us are likely to be booking too many private scans later on, it's these early days where they're most valuable so it won't be an ongoing thing which can be absolutely justified.

Hope you're ok, easy for me to say 'try not to worry' (but try not to) x
