Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

Hi everyone, I thought I’d join in.

Due 11th Oct, with baby no 2. Had my first midwife appointment today.

HarryPottersSecretSister · 02/03/2019 16:32

@Topsy15 same. I spent most of last night eating haribo to help the nausea. Something I'd never eat.

@Totallyhonest welcome and congratulations x

Nextchapter19 · 02/03/2019 16:58

Oven chips for me last night! Luckily been craving ice cold pineapple so at least thats some vitamins!!! My scan is at 10am tomorrow so will keep you all updated and hope its good news :) Im now cosy on the sofa, leggings, fluffy blanket and an evening of netflix and online ‘window’ shopping! I just want March out of the way asap!!!!!! Then ill be 12 weeks, hopefully feel human and can tell my family and friends!!!!!

Frizzy1986 · 02/03/2019 17:11

I'm finding bourbon biscuits help. To be honest though, if I manage to eat a little something before I feel sick it keeps it at bay. If I miss the opportunity then I start to only be able to stomach certain things, but they change constantly.

We've had a busy day (far too busy in my current state). Walked the dog to the vets and back (about 30 min walk each way) then we went to Manchester Runway Visitors Park.
The inlaws are off on an epic holiday tour thing. Spending 2 nights in Singapore, then almost a month in Australia touring round in a group, then back to the UK via a 2 day stop in Hong Kong. I'm totes jealous although wouldn't want to do a prearranged group tour, it's more the destinations as I bloody love Australia. Its been over 7 years since we went and I want to go back so much.
We went to wave their plane off as we thought dd would enjoy it. She did and it helped that it was a huge A380 which meant it went by a bit slower.
I'm currently tracking their flight like a loser watching them over Turkey on the way to plane change 1 in Dubai.

Pizza from Tesco for tea tonight. I couldn't be arsed planning and doing a weekly shop today and Tesco have a massive pizza deal with doughballs and drinks dip etc so nice and easy.

Hi hi
New to this site. Due on 12/10 after trying for 8 years to conceive! By some miracle it worked this time. 8 weeks this week, went for an early scan at 6 weeks and saw heartbeat flicker , had pretty much strong pregnancy symptoms past 2/3 weeks. Past few days they are really reduced, today haven’t had any slightly sore boobs now. Constantly worrying now that somethings not right 😢 Wanted this for so long. Anyone’s else have changes to the symptoms like this?

GinMama1 · 02/03/2019 18:21

Welcome to all the newbies! I'm also feeling rubbish. @Frizzy1986 I agree that if I miss my food window it's much worse. Eating regularly helps. I'm exhausted today, not helped by my toddler being up twice in the night.

I've booked a scan for Monday, I'll be 7 weeks but hoping for a bit of reassurance. Might book another for 9 or 10 weeks though!

Trinnidad · 02/03/2019 18:32

@Foreverhope Congratulations! And welcome! This is my first pregnancy (edd 7/10). I've not had many symptoms, just strange stomach feelings, bloating and a little breast tenderness/growth. Some days these feelings ease off and I wonder what's going on in there. I have been feeling tired and hungry most of the time though! I haven't had an early scan so I know how you are feeling wanted more reassurance. I'm focusing on the fact I haven't got any actual negative signs. I think it's normal for symptoms to come and go - or like in my case not to appear at all (like nausea etc).

If I'd been getting nausea/sickness I would be a lot more confident and might even have told some people early, but just in case I'm waiting until my scan. Got my first midwife appointment this week (9 weeks) and really want to know my scan date!

Hang in there and try to rest up and concentrate on some relaxation during these weeks.

womaninkent · 02/03/2019 19:20

@foreverhope I know what you mean! Pregnant for the first time after 2.5 years of trying and my first round of IVF. So paranoid that my symptoms are going (or are only caused by the progesterone i’m taking post IVF) that I woke up sobbing this morning. My husband probably thinks i’ve lost the plot. Just try and hang in there!

Topsy15 · 02/03/2019 19:44

I have had some brown discharge this evening... like the same white discharge I've had the whole time but definitely brown in there. So so scared I am having another miscarriage. I know there isn't much anyone can say but just needed to let out my worry 😢

HarryPottersSecretSister · 02/03/2019 19:59

@Topsy15 you poor love.
Remember brown blood is old blood.
It's not fresh.
It could be your body shedding some of the old.

Again, I know that's easy for me to say (so do feel free to tell me to piss off) because I totally get how any sign of spotting is terrifying.

Are you ok?

Topsy15 · 02/03/2019 20:03

Thanks @HarryPottersSecretSister - it's just nice to speak to someone who understands the insane anxiety. I guess it's good it's brown but I am now mega worried I can also feel cramps. I've had low level on off cramps most of the way so far though... Ive still been feeling sick etc right up until today, crossing everything I'll be okay. Ive managed to book a scan tomorrow morning which is 50 miles away but I just want to know what is happening either way, everything crossed

Foreverhope · 02/03/2019 20:10

Thanks Ladies! I’ve literally been driving myself mad. Google searching, Facebook searching isn’t helping. I think I’m going to pay for another scan next week, I can’t wait until April 1st.
Sending Postive thoughts for everyone.

This cheesecake will take my mind of it for now 😋

HarryPottersSecretSister · 02/03/2019 20:14

@Topsy15 oh I am SO pleased you have a scan booked for the morning. I know it's quite a trek but it'll be so worth it for the peace of mind.

I reckon it's a good sign you're still feeling sick. (And for what it's worth I still have cramps and have had them for quite a while through all my pregnancies. In fact, I used to get severe period cramps every month when my period would have been due)

Am thinking of you x

HarryPottersSecretSister · 02/03/2019 20:19

@Foreverhope I have been on the internet pretty much all day long because I'm really really struggling with pregnancy nausea/ morning sickness and I've been trying to research/ get some vague indication for when it might stop.
Anyway, all the sites (not the rubbish sites, the more science and medical based ones) say that a sudden decrease in the symptoms is NOT an indicator of MC (I suppose they have to relent at some stage). Some people's trail off as the placenta starts to take over more, some people's symptoms seem to literally go away overnight.

Topsy15 · 02/03/2019 20:30

Yes I had to look around a lot but so happy to have found one. That's good to know about the cramps! The only pregnancy I have had before this one I lost at 7 weeks but I had no sickness with that one and cramps and heavy bleeding all happened fairly quickly. Being a super anxious person anyway makes all of this a recipe for disaster! Haven't had anything since that tiny bit, praying for good news tomorrow, we will see.

Thank you so much, it really helps having someone to talk to. OH just keeps saying everything will be fine and that just winds me up, I know he's only trying to help 😖 x

Random2468 · 02/03/2019 21:33

Oh goodness @Topsy15 I completely understand your anxiety as I had brown discharge for 2 days Thursday and Friday! Went for scan at 6 weeks and saw heartbeat but I am still so worried. I'm right there with you and your concern. I'm really hoping everything is great at scan tomorrow, also agree ongoing sickness is a good sign. Also did you say you're about 9 weeks? If good news tomorrow then that's really good odds from that stage onwards so all fingers and toes crossed for you

KitLee · 02/03/2019 22:00

Hi everyone, hope its OK to join SmileI am due 15/10, 1st pregnancy. I am suffering really badly at the moment with nausea, And unfortunately I have a phobia of being sick so have been doing all that I can to try and avoid that! Am currently on two types of anti emetics and had a session of acupuncture today although not 100% convinced by it yet, has anyone else tried it? Nice to meet you all :-)

Beeseeinya · 02/03/2019 23:15

Someone else with a vomiting phobia! Thank gawd I'm not alone. It's horrendous. I wish I could just be sick and feel better but no, nausea all day. Can't even make myself sick, I'm so well trained to not be. Ergh

princesstinnedpeach · 02/03/2019 23:33

Hi everyone, hope all or some of us have managed to spend Saturday as relaxed as possible.

Welcome @KitLee I'm due the same day as you Smilefeeling truly terrible too but I've read ahead and the 'eight week' section on my pregnancy app says the placenta will be starting to take over and hopefully ease some symptoms. I hope that's true as I'm finding coping with another however many weeks of this hard to imagine! I've actually thought about acupuncture too - it sounds silly but the way i feel right now, I'd want to be reassured it would help before committing to showering or leaving the house for it Blush let us know how you find it!

So sorry to hear you and pp have a fear of being sick, that must be incredibly hard to deal with right now.

Topsy15 · 03/03/2019 08:09

Ahhh @Random2468 I am sorry to hear that I wouldn't wish this on anyone! Has yours calmed down since? It's good that everything was fine at the scan. Yes I had an early scan at 6 and a half weeks, just over 3 weeks ago so today should give me a pretty idea whether things are progressing as they should. Thankyou! I am also hoping with everything but what will be will be I just want to know either way. My appointment is at 11 so not long to wait, wish we could just go now though!

Welcome to the newbies, hope everyone has a chilled Sunday. I am now firmly of the belief that I am going to take full advantage of not overdoing things - free pass to be lazy. I now feel guilty for trying to keep up with housework, gym etc even though I know realistically if things are going wrong it was most likely inevitable and not down to anything I've done. Hopefully I'll be able to come back later with some good news 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Clarew78 · 03/03/2019 08:50

Best wishes for your scan today Topsy15. Totally get the guilt thing about the gym, I was going hell for leather with a new regime trying to lose some weight before ttc and found that I was unexpectedly pregnant already! Had an early scan too at 5 1/2 and they found an area of bleeding next to the sac so now I am not moving! Anyone else had this on their scan? I think it's called a sub chorionic hemorrhage. Had 2 more viability scans and they found a heartbeat but I'm measuring 2 weeks behind, I think it's just late ovulation as my other 2 were the same. It's the anxiety that's getting to me, especially after 2 MC glad to have this space xxxx

Topsy15 · 03/03/2019 11:39

Bad news for me today, looks like a missed miscarriage, no fetal movement and barely grown in 3 weeks. I'm in shock - convinced myself after finally getting pregnant following a miscarriage last summer that things could be different this time. This next week is going to be pretty tough, trips for extra scans at the EPU to confirm and then deciding how to manage if things don't happen naturally which it doesn't look like they are. Thanks everyone for your support.

I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies , I will miss reading how everyone is doing every day 💕

Baba11 · 03/03/2019 11:49

@Topsy15 I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending you lots of hugs. Can't imagine what you must be feeling. 😢😢😢

SadieSue29 · 03/03/2019 12:12

Clarew I had an early scan this morning and there were two areas of blood noticed, she said not to worry but if I get anymore spotting it would be most likely them spots. She didn't seem concerned about it at all.
My LMP dates I should have been 7+2 but on the scan was 6+5 but she said that's nothing to worry about. Saw a tiny little heart beat. I'm just going to try and enjoy that I have no symptoms.

Sorry to hear your news Topsy. Look after yourself xx

Frizzy1986 · 03/03/2019 12:18

@topsy15 oh god I'm so so sorry. There is nothing I can say that will make you feel any better. Sending so much love 💐
