Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

@fluffybunny86 - I am exactly the same - just take each day at a time - having said that I have spent my whole lunchtime on Mother care web site :>) xx

Bluebell9 · 25/02/2019 15:28

I've been getting cramps in the evening but I think it might be trapped wind related as I'm really bloated by the evening and feels better when I've burped! Pregnancy is so glamorous!!

Yeoooooooo · 25/02/2019 15:31

I have cramping too. Sometimes it’s dull and every so often it’s a brief sharp cramp. I’m hoping that’s normal!

Bluebell9 · 25/02/2019 15:31

@Ruthsoph I've been on there too and already picked out a car seat! I wanted to see if anymore lie flat seats had been brought out as we need one that fits on one seat but lies flat. It used to be just Kiddy that did them (for £400+) but Joie do one now for half that price.

amehh · 25/02/2019 15:35

I've had cramping for ages and today is the first day I don't feel too bad cramp wise - maybe because I'm busy at school or maybe because it's calmed down? Who knows.

@ruthsoph I googled early scan in my area and found a clinic that offer an early reassurance scan between 6-11 weeks as I'm not sure my gp would send me for one. It's a cost (£89 at mine) but DH and I agreed that it is one we would rather spend and rest assured rather than risk not knowing and having a possible ectopic :)

NotSoThinLizzy · 25/02/2019 17:00

I hate the cramps driving me up the wall can't get comfy 😂

HJWT · 25/02/2019 17:13

Any chance of one more? Im due the 27th oct but like everyone else has said the the oct thread everyone seems further along... 5+1 baby #2 and feeling like a train wreck 😁😁😁

thumper59 · 25/02/2019 17:26

Those who are booking an early scan. When are you going to do it? I wanna book one week at the end of March so illl be around 8 weeks so we can give grandmas the cards and scan pic for Mother's Day, but I don't dare book anything yet 😫 how many weeks are you safe-ish?

Needadoughnut · 25/02/2019 18:17

How's everyone today? I've been very weepy and have got a cold but refuse to take any medicine. I also took a CB digital hoping that it would show 2-3 weeks but obviously only shows 1-2. I'm 14dpo so it's expected!

Fun fact your due on my anniversary with OH 😊

crystal92 · 25/02/2019 18:27

Snap Needadoughnut, I have got a stinking cold, painful sinuses and can barely speak! Great timing!

TheNightIsForever · 25/02/2019 18:31

How's everyone doing with bloating this evening? 🙈

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 25/02/2019 18:35

My bloating is SO BAD. I’m only 3+4, how can this be?!

HJWT · 25/02/2019 18:50

@thumper59 your not really 'safe' till 12 weeks hence why the NHS wait till then but id say defo wait till 8 weeks if you want to see something and a heartbeat 😃

piddlestix · 25/02/2019 19:12

Oh my god @TheGruffalosLoveChild and @TheNightIsForever my bloating is soooo bad too! None of my trousers fit! 😱😳

Miller2 · 25/02/2019 19:24

My trousers (that were too big this morning and I was having to pull up) are now tight. I think I just need a good fart (sorry folks!). Got first midwife appt tomorrow. Anyone know what to expect at a first appointment? And should I shave my legs (or anywhere else for that matter)?

Naughtysausage · 25/02/2019 19:27

@Miller2 a jug would be far more sensible! Ta.

@EmKR100 that's totally understandable. Thanks

And @crystal92 snap. My cold is horrendous. My sinuses are so painful. But paracetamol is really helping more than I thought it would. I really miss Sudafed.

Baba11 · 25/02/2019 19:39

@HJWT I was the same I'm due 25th Oct so felt the other thread were further along than me, so jumped on this one.

@Miller2 I haven't plucked up the courage to tell work espc as I just got a promotion to start in sept

I'm not sure if this is a symptom but my lips are so dry! This morning couldn't even apply puppy as they were so dry even though I was applying Carmel it felt like it wasn't doing anything.

My heads all over the place doesn't help as I haven't told any1 and can't share my thoughts with any1
Thank goodness for this thread

Needadoughnut · 25/02/2019 19:51

Well I started my new job last week! I'll only tell them after I've passed my probation

thumper59 · 25/02/2019 21:11

@HJWT oh yeah definitely gonna wait till 8 weeks. It needs booking in advance though and I feel like I'm jinxing it? So stupid I know... I'll maybe wait while 6 weeks to book. Hope your all having a lovely evening. Just found out I'm getting another little nephew in the summer! Little do my mum and dad know they'll have an additional grandchild come November 😂

brighteye3986 · 26/02/2019 05:44

Hi can I join please? Just tested this morning and due 4th Nov. Had IVF so still early days but can't believe it actually worked!

@brighteye3986 congratulations! And welcome. There's some really nice people in this thread. I find it useful as given its a secret to the outside world at the moment, at least I can talk to people in here!

brighteye3986 · 26/02/2019 06:08

Thanks @Miller2 I still can't believe it. This is the first positive I've ever got in almost 4years TTC.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 26/02/2019 06:38

Yay! Congratulations Brighteye. I’m so pleased you finally have a BFP Smile x

amehh · 26/02/2019 06:38
